Tips on How to use Progesterone cream for maximum benefit
- Apply 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon 1-4 times daily
- Change the area that you apply it to every day . It is less effective if
always applied to the same area.
- Apply to areas where skin is soft and thin e.g. wrists, inner arms,
chest, palms of hands and soles of feet, face and neck.
- Stop using it for 3-7 days when your period starts. ( If you no longer
menstruate just pick a date each month to give your body this break) This
allows the hormone receptors in your body to reset.
- Try adding some vitamin E when you apply it. This seems to increase  absorption.
- Some women experience an increase in oestrogen dominance symptoms when
they first start using the cream. This is because progesterone enhances the
response of the oestrogen receptors. There are 2 ways to cope:
- Use less cream to reduce the symptoms and build up slowly over a
month or 2.
- Use more cream to make the symptoms subside quicker, they usually
settle within a
month.
7. If you have trouble sleeping, applying
some cream to the back of the neck before you go to bed is helpful.
8. If your symptoms are less severe or have improved you can try just using it for the second half of your cycle. This more closely mimics how the body actually produces progesterone.
