Our
Policies
Please make all checks payable to “The Silver Basket.” There will
be $25.00 service charge for all returned checks. (We do not
accept personal checks for Ebay store purchases unless the item is to be picked up
or hand delivered.)
We accept most major credit cards when you pay through Paypal, or
Mastercard or Visa when you pay us directly. We will usually get
immediate approval for all credit card purchases. However, if we
are unable to call in for approval of your credit card purchase, and
later the credit card is refused, you will be required to settle
payment by personal check or cash.
All returned check/refused credit card purchases must be settled within
90 days or collection action will be taken.
Returns/Damaged Merchandise
We are happy to accept returns for defective merchandise as long as you
contact us within 7 days from the date your item is received. We
will try to exchange it for the same item if possible; otherwise we
will issue you a refund (see Refunds section below). We do examine each
piece of merchandise for defects before offering it for sale. We
do not accept returns on items that have been worn or have been damaged
after the sale. If your item is being shipped to you we offer
optional insurance for your item when your item is shipped. The
Silver Basket will not be responsible for merchandise lost or damaged
during shipping if it was not insured. We will accept exchanges
for the wrong size merchandise, however, keep in mind that another size
of your item may not be available, or may have to be special
ordered. If the size you want is not available, we will issue you
a store credit for your return. Please visit our finding

guidelines.
Party/Show/Special
Order Purchases
At our parties and shows, or for special orders, we accept cash,
personal checks, Visa or Mastercard. All catalog purchases and/or
special orders must be paid for at the time that the order is placed.
At our parties, we use catalogs provided to us by the supplier.
We will do our best to keep the catalogs updated to inform you of
unavailable or discontinued items. However, this can sometimes be
an impossible task and we cannot guarantee that items placed from our
catalog will always be available. We will do our best to find you
the same item with another supplier, or we will issue you a refund (see
Refunds section below).
Ebay
store
We generally prefer that you order our in-stock items through our Ebay
store. You will need to register with Ebay to do this. If you
have any questions about registering and purchasing items through Ebay,
please visit their website at www.Ebay.com. All of our items in
our Ebay store are listed in “Buy It Now” format, which means that you
will not be bidding on items auction-style; they are listed for
immediate purchase just like in any other online store. For Ebay
store purchases, we accept check or credit card payments through Paypal
(preferred), money orders, or cashier’s checks. If you do not
wish to pay through Paypal, but wish to use your Mastercard or Visa,
please contact me and provide me with your phone number and a time you
can be reached, and I will contact you to get your credit card
information. (Never send your credit
card information through an email!) Please note that it
may take up to 24 hours to get back with you. If you are not
comfortable placing your order through Ebay, you can contact us to
place your order, but we cannot guarantee that your item will still be
available at the time we receive your order. We will accept
personal checks ONLY from those persons who will be picking up their
merchandise or having it hand-delivered. Merchandise will be held
pending receipt of payment.
Shipping is a flat fee of $3.00 for merchandise shipped by USPS
first-class mail, and a flat fee of $5.00 is charged for merchandise
shipped by USPS Priority Mail. Optional shipping insurance is an
additional $1.30. The Silver Basket will not be responsible for
lost or damaged items that are not insured. (We will also arrange
shipping through UPS if required, however, please bear in mind that
this type of shipping can be costly.)
Please make sure that your shipping address is correct when you
purchase merchandise through our Ebay store. The Silver Basket
will not be responsible for merchandise that was shipped to the wrong
address.
If you are paying with a gift certificate or coupon, please subtract
the amount of the coupon or gift certificate under “Seller Discounts
and Charges.” Please contact us inform us of the coupon or gift
certificate number. If you are not sure that you are calculating
a discount correctly, please contact us and we will send you an updated
invoice.
Refunds/Store Credit
Refunds will be issued to customers is certain circumstances (see
above). A refund for a purchase made by credit card will be
credited to your card. A refund for a purchase paid by Paypal
will be refunded to you using the Paypal system. A refund for a
purchase made with cash or a personal check will be refunded to you by
a company check (we will hold your personal check refund until your
check has cleared).
