| I was 13 years old when I left Sindh. I am the eldest among brothers and sisters. So I had to take charge of the whole family with grand parents at the time of migration from Sindh. We had to start life fresh at Ulhasnagar, Bombay from scratch. I had to join my grand father's school at Ulhasnagar and helped him in running the school. Later I joined Bombay school named Sindh model high school.I lived in hostel until my studies were complete. I studied B.sc. in mathmatics from Royal institute of science, Bombay. I passed from St-xaviers college diploma in electronics engineering in 1960. I was offered a job at both TIFR and BARC, Bombay. I chose TIFR. I was sent to Ooty (Ootacamund) air shower experiment. I was there for 3 years. Later I went to Kolar gold mines for the same experiment. I worked there for 7 years. In the mean time, my marriage took place in 1964.Myself with my wife lived in Kolar gold mines and Ooty, both being TIFR labs. My first daughter Punita was born in 1966 in Bombay and second daughter Sangita was born in 1968, at Kolar gold mines. I was transfered to Ahmedabad in 1973 February. I joined P.R.L. and worked on digital and computer systems till I retired in 1995. My both daughters are happily married and the live in Ahmedabad with their children. I live with my wife and grand children at Ahmedabad. I teach computer system in a computer training center at Ahmedabad. |
