In 1971 When there in then east Pakistan ,Sheikh Mujiburrehman had won a overwhelming majority in the national assembly of Pakistan for his party.
But the leaders of Pkistan (west) were not ready to accept their defeat and also were not willing
to handover power to anybody who does not belong to Punjab province.The army of that country was also of the same view.Then Mr Sheikh started a movement against this movement.The Bangla people were brutally treated by the Army of Pakistan.

| Mr. Mujiburrehman Floated his new army named Mukti Vahini and asked the then Prime Minister of India, Mrs IndiraGandhi to help them in getting their motherland frr from the brutal and biligerrant rule of Pakistan.INdira Gandhi took it seriously and started the military action against Pakistan army and the war spread all over south Asia.The pakistan army fell to Indian superior attack.

| At last The Indian Army succeded in this operation and a new country emerged on the world map and was named Balgladesh.Sheikh Mujiburrehman became the first president of that newborn country.

| The valient Indian army made Pakistani army to surrender and it was one of the greatest victories ever in the world.Over hundred thousand Pakistani Army surrendered before Indian Army.Pakistani army personnel then were released after the then prime minister of Pakistan entered into an agreement with Indira Gandhi, to this effect. This histrical agreement took place at Shimla and this agreement is popularly known as "Shimla Agreement".
