Indira Priyadarshini was educated at Viswa Bharati University, and Oxford University in England, and became involved in political life almost from childhood. She was brilliant student throughout her acadamic career.
Her education was going on in such a way that it not only made her acadamically good but she also learned a lot about sociopolitical environment around her at that time.Indira Gandhi was deeply interested in literature, music and fine arts.But at that time it was a time of the independence struggle of india and she was deeply inspired by her father Nehru and MahatmaGandhi.She also joined this struggle.
Her father Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru himself took keen interest in her education. When Nehru was in jail he continuously wrote letters to her from the jail.Which kept both father and daughter in touch with each other during those days. In those letters he wrote very educative and intersting things to Indira which later proved to be helpful in her political career.These letters wrote by Nehru Itsef became an inspiration for not only to Indira but to every yuoth of the country.
