SPUDGUN THEORY
For starters, let me just say that this is sort of a technical essay.  Its purpose is not to tell people how to build their guns. My only purpose is to put down on paper some of the govorning laws of spudguns, and give an idea of the full potential of both pneumatic and combustion models.  By doing this, I hope to clear up some misconceptions about so-called "optimum performance ratios."

This is a set of rough guidelines for maximizing the power of a spudgun.  In most cases, it's not practical to maximize a gun, nor is it even necissary.  You can build a really great gun using "traditional" methods and have a hell of a good time with it.  In this case, however, I have very little interest in tradition. Being from Texas, I believe in making things bigger, better, and more powerful.  With that in mind,  I hope you find this informative and somewhat understandable.
