Probably a bit quick off the mark - but I submitted the
website to a
mame cabinet project search engine...
I emailed Paul McKenzie of
Chunkycab fame about
the website.
One thing I would like to point out at this
point in time about the cabinet. The two circles cut out
of the sliding MDF panel are not drink holders LOL. They
are in fact a very clever way of securing the control panel.
The control panel is mounted to the sliding panel via a large
piano-hinge. When the panel is slide back in place, you
simply open the coin-mech door, put your hands through the
cutouts and lock the panel very securely in place.
What this means as far as my cabinet goes... full access to
the laptop without opening the whole machine - or having to
get into the back of it. Obviously, when the whole pub
is complete the cabinet will be almost completely static and
therefore moving it to gain access to the controlling PC for maintenance
will be an arduous task.
