| Not many people know that Roy Rogers and Dale Evans had a Downs Syndrome child. She wrote a book about her child. It was in the 1950's Not a very big book but sure to tug at your heart. The name of the book is: Angel Unaware By: Dale Evans |
| I read this book the first time when my Beth was just a baby. I was still devastated for my "normal" little girl. I felt as I read this book that Dale Evans knew my daughter. Amazing how Downs children are more alike than their own families. I had searched for the book for many years. Recently I found it on the net and grabbed it. Soon as I got it I sat down and read it again. Once more with tears in my eyes , but this time for a different reason. Dale Evans daughter passed away while still a baby from a heart condition. I have been very Blessed with Beth she is healthy and does not have many of the problems a lot of Downs Children have. Such as heart defects and intestional problems. She has minor things like battling sinus ,allergies and ear infections. And I also realized something very important. I too have a Angel and was Unaware of the Blessing she would give me. |
