Anna Grace was born on
March 2, 2001, full-term after an uneventful pregnancy. Anna is now 6 years old and her current challenges include hypotonia (low muscle tone), microcephaly (small head size), epilepsy, pervasive developmental disorder (a form of autism), mental retardation, anxiety, mood disorder, sensory integration dysfunction, and high myopia. Until the age of 3, Anna also struggled with failure to thrive (under the 3rd percentile for weight), eating solid food and sleeping through the night. Sleep issues continue to be an intermittent problem.
