| MEET THE CREW STEPHEN CANZONERI Equipment Manager/Station Manager [email protected] Stephen had dedicated nearly a decade to MalverneTV. His duties include directing and editing programming, video taping, and maintenance of all the Village's audio/visual equipment. Prior his working for us, Stephen served as Vice President of Educational Television (ETV) at Kellenberg Memorial High School. There he was the editor as well as cameraman of many school events such as sporting events, school plays, and concerts. In 1997, then-Channel 40 went to a two-camera operation for its Village Board meetings and Stephen was asked to join. With that, he began to learn the station's operations through hands on experience. By the summer of 1998, he was fully in control of Channel 40. Stephen has worked hard to maintain high programming standards while adding his own unique innovations, serving as a role model for other local villages. One major accomplishment is the setting up and maintaining of TV 18's Web site. Though taking a step back from many of his duties, Stephen remains an integral part of the team. Stephen is a lifelong resident as well as a fourth generation resident of the Village of Malverne. In 2003, he earned a bachelor of arts degree in history from St. John's University. He also serves as technical advisor to the Cable TV Committee, senior member of the Malverne Youth Board (former chair, Challenge of the Bands committee), currently Executive Vice President of the Nassau County Young Republicans, and is active of numerous other organizations in and around Malverne. ************************************************************************* VITO ILARDI Audio Vito is the soundman for all Village events and the audio man for many of TV 18's programs, more notably the Village Board meetings. Also, he has worked closely with many movie/television stars and directors. (If you ever meet him on the street, be sure to have him tell his Dolly Parton story.) Not to mention, he is the only member of our staff that has his own IMDB page. Vito joined our staff after then Channel 40 began to televise our Village Meetings live, the first municpality in the state to do so. An avid photographer and videographer as well, Vito has video taped a number of programs for us including special programming produced for the Malverne Historical and Preservation Society. He is also the Past Commander of Veterans of Foriegn Wars Frank J. Ruddock Post 1073. Vito is a pro. Frank's main projects with TV18 have been the Lighting of Malverne and Memorial Day Parade/Ceremony. ************************************************************************* BRIAN SMITH "Newbie" [email protected] Brian's first day as a volunteer caused our old editing system to crash...well it has been proven that it was his fault, but it was his first day on the job. It wasn't his first time with MalverneTV either. As a young baby, he appeared in the first Lighting of Malverne to be televised. So it might be destiny that he is part of our crew. As president of ETV at Chaminade High School, Brian oversees the production of the daily Morning Announcements broadcast as well as all school concerts, plays, and other events..
