Tanjung Delapan Beach

The beach is situated in Tumbur village , 14 kms east of samlaki , stretchin 3 kms long and 15 mtr wide. It has a white sandy beach , coconut trees ,and a beautiful Panorama. This beach could be reached by public bus from Saumlaki .  

Tumbur

This village is situated 14 kms from saumlaki, and is well know for its carvings , produced by village ‘s crafsment . The carvings sybolize the life of the people .The statues are know as “ Patung Tumbur” ( Tumbur Statues).  

Mengalith Boat

The boat lies 25 kms east Saumlaki in the village of sangliat Dol. This 5 mtrs long and 3,5 mtrs wide mengalith stone boat is ornamented and is a relic from the prehistoric time. Sangliat dol is situated 75 mtrs above the sea level and could be reached by public tranportation.

WELUAN BEACH

This –2 kms long sandy beach is locatetd in olilit lama village, 4 kms south east of saumlaki. The water is very clear, and there are some islets in front of the beach, which give a fantastic panorama especially at sunrise. It could be reached by publik tranportation   

ASTUBUN BEACH

This beachis situated south east of saumlaki, at the etrance of saumlaki harbour. It has a withite sandy beach, beautiful panorama with some various fishes and corals in its water presented an ideal place for fishing and snorkeling. From this beach, the lighthouse on boina cape is cleary seen.  

 AIR IBANG CAVE

This 10 mtrs deep and 8 mtrs wide cave is located in olilit lama village,5 kms south east of saumlaki. There is a stone in the centre of the cave, as a place for oferings.The cave has clear water in it and usually used for the surounding agricurtular needs.

It takes 2 hours sailling with local outriggers to reach this place or on foot from olilit lama vilage. 

NUSMOMALIN TUBUN BEACH

This beach is situated 7 kms south east of Saumlaki between the Sifanana and lauran villages. It has 1 km long and 100 mtrs wide white sandy beach with steep cliff On the shoreline , calm water, beautiful panorama , various fishes and coral.

Mary cave

This cave is Praying and a pilgrimage spot for the Catholics of Saumlaki in the monts Of May and oktober, situated next to the Olilit Lama village. It has a 2 mtr high mary Statue constructed under the cave on 19 mtrs high cliff . This spot could be reached By public transportation from Saumlaki.

NORTH TANIMBAR  

Batardity Memorial

This statue syimbolizes the honor of the Tanimbarese woman in full traditional dressed and accessories , embracing a small drum (tifa). The statue was built on a 3x4 Mtrs cliff. The height of the memorial is 2.5 mtrs, situated only 5 minutes walking From Larat harbour.

Killon , Nama , and Wetir beaches

These three white sandy beaches of about 8 kms long are located on the village of Romean 14 miles south of larat. Approximately 50 mtrs offshore , there are Drop-offs until 100to 250 mtrs deph. The Oravruan strait between the villages of Romean and Kelaan on the island of Larat , has a very strong currentand between June and August there are many groups of marlin fishes passed by the strait. On that time , the local people like to organize a marlin tradtional fishing tournament using tradisional canoes only. The regulation of the tournament among others is that the fishes can only be killed With the fist or oar , because it is taboo to use any sharp weapons. During turbulent waves periods between December and February , the nama beach become winder To the sea along the shore line and form an atoll, a hiding place for local motorboats.

Vatutitir Beach

This 3 kms long and 10 mtrs wide white sandy beach with its situated 14 kms east of larat. Fordata island is clearly visible from here. The visitors could be entertained By a group of bamboo flute players , if it is requested in advance , while enjoying the beatiful panorama. This spot could be reached by the public transportation from larat. 

Nukaha Beach

It is on an island located 16 milles from larat , east of fordata island . This island is a 3 kms by 200mtrs small atoll island , surrounded by white sandy beach with casuarinas grow on it . Low tides could from anothers new beach line 2 kms down its original Beach line. There are various fishes and corals in the waters which make the spot ideal for fishing or diving . It could be reached by charthered motor boats from Larat or Romean.
