| Brussels, March 1994 ...fed up with waiting for BMG and Take That to get a concert going in Singapore, I scrimped and saved and joined in the tour to Brussels via London. Met Pat and NIkki, mom and daughter Thatters from Surrey on the coach. We chatted and sang TT hits passing through Calais at 6 in the morning. It was a concert like no other back in Singapore.... and Its not just about the band or the sound and lights, it's the atmosphere. Simply amazing. What's more, D:Ream opened the act for them - i couldn't belive it - double treat 4 me!!! I decided there and then, I'll be back in UK for more gigs whenever I can.Just 3 days in 'da smoke' and 2 days in Brussels but it was a tight short rip, every second better than the last. |

| 23 nov - 5 dec 1994 london - surrey - manchester - london I was back in London 3 seasons later, mixing work with pleasure again. Last time I interviewed the editor at Smash Hits, this time ... East17! Rest of the trip was a mix of fun and work - the smash hits roadshow @GMex, Manchester and London Arena, shopping in Afflecks Palace, sightseeing around Bolton and Wigan and back to citysights in Guildford, Surrey with Nikki. Then back up north, to Oldham Rd in Pat's car with Nikki in search of Markie and a glimpse of the other Thatters. No such luck apparently but our wait in the back alley of Dominion Theatre, London paid off when Howard, Gaz and Mark (in new 60s type haircut and a pink shirt) hang out with some of us. Take That were performing for the Prince's Trust that night. I only managed to say 'Hi!' to Mark and Howard and they smiled for me camera. But only Howard's pix turned out oright. Bless him! ;) Princess Diana World Aids Day Trust Concert, Wembley Arena Pat and Mikki got me tix to the charity concert and it was well worth the 36 pounds. three Quarter of it was a Take That xtravaganza .. and it was similar to their UK tour in October. Happinesss.... and yes, Howard was in his cut out bum red trousers. Blimey! |

| The Fab Four: Back For Good .... 'all i do each night is pray, hoping that you'd be back again someday ...' When TT disbanded, that phrase in the song 'Pray' can't me hoping they would get back together and after 10 years, they returned with a sold out anniversary concert: The Ultimate Tour and here to stay for good! Rob declined off course, but who cares ,,,, I was actually going last August to see them, but got ill so i hope i won't miss the Beautiful World tour. It will be more then going to see the boys, i'd love to meet my pals again ;) |
