Twas the night before SMash Hits Poll ...

...Winners Party 1994, rumour had it that East 17 were going to debut the UK Top 20 @ #1 with 'Stay Another Day'. I had the pleasure to  find  out  more  and  ended  up in bed with Tony, Brian,  Jon,  and  Terry up in  their suite in Britannia International Hotel.
Uh-la-la! La-lah-la-lah-la-la!
..:::In Bed with East17 [not!]
3 dec 1994
britannia international, docklands London, Uk

The interview was scheduled at 3pm. London Records promo people, one called Richard, came to pick me up at Victoria Station. I got into a nice limo!!! And we got to Docklands where East 17 were staying.

Fizzy Cutie funnneeeee ...
The lads just came in from a late lunch that Saturday and Brian Harvey was most restless. Managed to speak to him but he was more interested in the JOe Bloggs  fizzy body spray.... it literally fizzles on your skin like acid but smells delicious on a bloke especially Brian. Haha....  On behalf of Rediffusion, the radio station i was with at the time, got East 17 gifts and looked like Brian really showed us how much he liked his. lol

Tony was last to come in ..... aaww he's da best! He got a mod ring. He told me about the rumour that 'Stay Another Day' could debut at the top spot on the charts. Another reason to celebrate!! Earlier, they received a special award for their platinum selling album in Sweden. Well done East 17!!!!

The boys autographed my tour book, East17 tee shirt and CDS. Bless em! Words can't describe everytime i hear one of their hits ... memories are made of these. What about the 'in bed' business? NOt telling .... ahhahaaaaaa ..
Things that make u go hmmm......... proof is in the pic.

After Tony's departure from the band,  the  rest  renamed and returned as E-17  with 2 hits, one with Gabrielle,  and  an  album  before calling it a day.

life after E-17
Jon became a roofer, again, Tony  got  a  rap/dance  trio  going and since then, Brian had appeared as a featured artiste with True Steppers and had a hit with Wyclef Jean for the footie ditty ' Ole Ole Ole '. Brian has the kind of voice that if he were to stand in front of me and sing, I'd just have a meltdown. lol
He also released a solo album and the world sighs ....

Sad, Brian is now struggling with the perils of past glory and doing his head in with too much painkillers, or at least he thought they were. Wake up Brian!!!
