So you say you are boredGoals, they keep you active at game and give you something to do instead of standing around for a few hours every couple weeks and complaining about a lack of storylines. Yeah, storylines are your department as the player. When you make a character you need to breathe life in him by giving his life a purpose. Something to shoot for. A good way to set this up is split goals into long-term and short-term, you can even split long-term goals into long-term and never-gonna-happen goals.
Now to choose your goals, for the short term ones choose goals that can be accomplished within a couple months. This gives your character something to do at games that should keep you easily busy. Goals can be as simple as gain the Princes confidence or identify different coteries. Sometimes it is a good idea to link the short-term and long-term goals together. Remember when choosing the long-term ones that you do not need to pick ones you can even possibly accomplish. Find something your character desires and go after it. This gives you a starting point. Then when you get to a game pick one to three goals that you plan on accomplishing that night. That way you have something to do. For example, when I have taken Corin to games in Los Angeles my goals have usually been: arrange a meeting with kindred X, try to form contacts with local kindred, and to seek acknowledgement from the Prince. Its simple! So the next time you start complaining to someone how bored you are at a game ask yourself, why is your character there and what goals are they trying to accomplish tonight. |
Something walking the streetsThe situation as I see itI also notice that peoples memories are a little short and forgot that they had given their domain to St. Clair. Can an Imperium exist under another Imperium? I guess so considering Walkers latest actions. Once again he has stretched forth his hands but this time he has done so to surround Riverside County. If this does not make you nervous fellow kindred, well you must be stupid or know something I do not.
Now instead of a prince of San Bernardino we have a duke. It all seemed to have happened at a shindig I missed, this Toreador Salon. I guess my art is not as distinguished as others. Now that Mr. Walker has his grubby little hands on San Bernardino, the largest county in the U.S. I wonder where he will reach for next. Want something different to spruce up your home?
