The People who do the Work

Co-ordinator's Corner

Hello Everyone!

I'm your humble Coordinator, Aaron, and Andrew has asked me to help contribute to our brand new Chapter webpage. Each month here in Coordinator's Corner you'll get a glimpse into what sort of things are going on with the chapter from my perspective, and a bit about what goes in to being a CC. I don't claim to be an expert in the field of coordination, and I'm sure my mistakes will be just as publicized (if not more so) than the things I do right. If there is ever any issue you'd like to see addressed here in this forum, feel free to email me at [email protected] with your suggestions, I'd be happy to discuss any topic.

April has been a pretty hectic month with the transition and all. Angela has been a wonderful help in making these first weeks run as smooth as they have, and I really appreciate all her help. All of the chapter records are being computerized, as well as maintaining the hard copies, which should prove to make everything much easier in the future. Prestige audits are underway and should be resolved by the end of May, so if your prestige totals look odd this is the time to mention it! Robert Snow has volunteered as an ACC for Socials (thanks again Robert!) and I'm still looking for another ACC, so let me know if you're interested. Other than that, I'm looking forward to May as a chance to really get down to business and get beyond most of this bureaucratic stuff (like that will ever go away!). A few of the things I'd like to accomplish in the coming month are:

- Increase chapter membership. We have 19 people so far, and I'd like to bump this up a bit more with the upcoming recruitment drive.

- Get our pending members their Cam numbers. We only have 11 of 19 people registered with the Cam.

- Get a good ordeal party arranged where we could get the entire chapter past the first ordeal at least. Especially the officers.

- Get to know everyone better in order to make the chapter as cohesive and communicative as possible.

Anyway, I think I've rambled enough for now, it's time to wrap things up. Thanks for taking a few minutes out of your day to read what I have put together, I hope it will prove beneficial. I'll see you all again sometime in May.
