XXX everything that they advertised and more. Basically XXX is an American version of James Bond. In other words, instead of going to fancy dinner parties to get information, he goes to raves. Instead of wearing tuxes, he wears crap! Instead of sleeping with classy women, you know the rich socialites and scientists Bond usually shags, XXX sleeps with prostitutes and skanks.

The reason why this movie works so well is because it is aimed at a younger crowd. It's like a party... with guns and avalanches and explosions! Furthermore, the main character is this bad ass, snow boarding type.

The story begins when the National Security Agency (NSA) hires Xander Cage (Vin Diesel), a crazy stunt man, to spy on an organization that is creating some kind of biological weapon. In return, Xander won't go to prison for the illegal stunts he�s done in the past.

Now if you think the name Xander Cage sounds made up, then get this, Xander's boss, played by Samuel L. Jackson is named Augustus Gibbons! Jackson is a very predictable addition to the movie, playing the ball-busting, tough as nails boss of the organization, with the added twist that he is in fact always in the process of manipulating the very rebellious character of Xander.

But the bottom line is that the movie is lots of fun. Tons of action, great special effects. I also had quite a few laughs throughout the film. Some laughs were at the absurdity of the stunts he pulled off, other laughs were a result of actual witty writing in the movie. Definitely worth seeing.
