Life's no good without Jesus;
There's just nothing to it;
If you're thinking of leaving Him,
Well, friend, I say don't do it.
Grass isn't so green, flowers aren't so pretty,
And trees aren't nearly as tall;
Mountains are smaller and canyons are shallower
If from grace you fall.

Think now of a mountain as huge
And erect it stands
With all of its color and shapes;
It wasn't made with hands.
God put them here to gaze upon
And all their beauties to see,
And when you made Him King of your life,
He gave new eyes to thee.

That you might behold the better things,
The things that are worhtwhile,
And overlook the other things
Which are mean and ugly and vile.
He gave you a new heart,
In it love to share with others,
That they might feel that God is real
And all men should live as brothers.

For many people live on God's surface
And don't know what He's like,
When it's easy to dig a little deeper
And make a real rich strike.
They try climbing to God with heads bent low
And on their faces a frown,
When they should smile and look up,
For you just can't climb looking down.

Now lots of people claim Jesus
As their closest and best friend
And say they will walk with Him
Until their fatal end.
Oh, they make all kinds of vows
While the going isn't rough,
But Jesus always takes second place
When it gets a little tough.

There are plenty of those, I guess,
But there's still a faithful few
Who determined to fight or die
Just so they might go through.
A few will seek for high heights
And look for deeper depths;
A few will follow Jesus
In His wonderful blood stained steps.

I'll be one of those few, who follow,
For life's no good to me,
Unless I have my Lord within
To keep me wholly free.
I say,"Dig deeper,"
If unsatisfied you seem to feel,
And when you strike that vein of life,
You'll then know God is real.

Then when you look upon the earth,
You'll see a different view;
You'll see the things God
Has made and created just for you.
Yes, life is good with Jesus,
And there's really something to it,
And if you're thinking of seeking Him now,
Well I say, please do it.
