To the left is one of my finished magazine ads for a new recording studio. The process of creating this advertisment consisted of sketching, scanning, and editing several possibilities for the skull. The text layout was done entirely in Adobe PS7 through a process of trial and error refinement until I had the layout and color schemes just right to pull it all together into an eye grabbing advertisement wich also has potential development into many other applications. I am currently working on several projects for Toxic Audio studios. |

Although the subject matter of this design is fairly modest compared to my usual theme of design it still entailed alot of creativity and thought to arrive at the final design layout wich was intended to be easily read and informative. The STEEL Chainsaws logo is entirely my own work done in Adobe PS7, the saws however were modified from photographs of real saws. I chose a blue grey gradient fading to black as a backdrop to lead the readers eye down the page, stopping at saw and description to finally arrive at the ordering information. This seemingly simple design layout is highly effective and I often use variations of it on other projects. |

This ficticious newspaper story was created on thanksgiving day this year(2006) after I had managed to snag some pictures of my dads crashed RC airplane in one of thie highest trees near our house. This project came together fairly quick, I managed to finish it in a few hours despite the interruptions of the day. the photos were taken with a 4 megapixel Kodak camera and slightly edited in Adobe PS7, wich was also the software used for the text layout. This "story" managed to fake out several of our orchard customers for the few days it was displayed in the fruit building (much to my amusement). |
