De la Vega’s house: Carlota could not believe what Mauricio had told her. Mauricio confirmed & said, yes… ‘Juana is the girl who was wrongly inseminated with my sperm… she is now pregnant caused by human negligence. Carlota said… ‘How dare you keep a secret like this from her...’ He further tells her that his relationship is just full of lies.
Lili’s house: Ramon was happily chatting with Juana. She told him about her life & her struggles to learn what life has to offer. Ramon regretted of not coming back early to see her.
De la Vega’s house: Carlota accused Juana had used her pregnancy to trap Mauricio. He told her … now the chance of being a father is very bright for him. Carlota got so mad because of his compulsive obsession to have a child. She said… ‘Can’t we just lead a happy life together without the presence of a child?’ She could not stand it anymore; she went out of her room leaving Mauricio alone. He saw a photo of them, picked it up while talking to him self & threw it away.
Perez house: A.Maria was in the kitchen sitting at the table with her mother. She told her mother that she had thought about what Azucena had said to her earlier on. Although all her life she had wanted her mother to apologize & admitted her mistake but now, when she finally did it, she was having a hard time believing it. A.Maria hoped that Azucena will come to her senses & changed her attitude. Azucena told her that, as far as she knows… she doesn’t need to say sorry as she was not the one who force him to leave. Azucena told her daughter that Ramon Perez will not be welcome.,. she left the kitchen.
De la Vega’s house: Mauricio with his bag of clothes came down from the stairs & saw Carlota drinking. Carlota heard his footstep & continued to argue with him for round 2. He told her that Carlota had made a big mistake in judging Juana’s motive as Juana herself does not know about him being the father to her child. Carlota was in a 2nd round of shock treatment.
Enriqueta’s apartment: Enriqueta & Manuel was at the living room. She talked about her past childhood where she does not a mother by her side & that her father was the only one who had raised & teach her to be strong in life. She told him that she understand how Manuel is feeling in handling the situation. Manuel kissed her.
De la Vega’s house: Carlota & Mauricio still arguing while Rafael was seen tiptoeing & stood behind a wall to hear what both of them saying.
Rogelio’s apartment: Desiree with her heart still shaken, slumped at her sofa sobbing about her visit to her mother’s house. She does not understand why her mother had not taken her money that she had sent. She started to cry with all her might & said that she hated her for not wanting to change her standard of living & remained in poverty.
In the office: Brandy saw David about to leave his desk. Upon seeing her, David thanked her for taking care of him earlier on. He admitted to her that she’s a very special person… he kissed Brandy on her cheek.
Night comes…
Enriqueta’s apartment: Enriqueta & Manuel was having a good time of spending together in the dark living room. They chatted & she hadn’t notice the time or about her work.
Perez house: Juana got back, called out her grandmother & mother to have a word in the living room. Juana told both of them that she had gone to Lili’s house & Lili had rented out a room for Ramon. She made a conclusion that her mother’s accusation towards Ramon was totally wrong as she sees him as a normal human being, a good character, seems to be weak & not happy as he had traumatized with fear. Azucena did not agree with her opinion.
De la Vega’s house: Aunt Eva came & asked where Rafael was to Tania. Carlota overhead her voice & started to shout at her from upstairs … ‘who asked you to come over here?’
Outside Perez house: Mauricio drove by & stop at the corner. He got out & was about to head on straight to the door but stopped halfway, thinking of what to say to her…
Perez house: Azucena did not believe that Juana was on A. Maria side. She told them both … ‘look at my hands… that has grown rough over the years because of working too hard in order to raise her family, look at my eyes, my face… filled with so much wrinkles because of crying hard… thinking about herself & could not closed her eyes as she does not know what to say. She hated Ramon because he had taken away her youth, her dreams of living on… all she got was misery.
Juana was sitting on the counter table. A.Maria gave her a drink. They both talked about Azucena & her stubborn attitude. While A.Maria was saying something, she suddenly remembered that the day after tomorrow is going to be Juana’s birthday.
Inside her room, Azucena was in a somber mood; was really in a rage of anger about her sacrifices that her daughter was so stupid, did not acknowledge.
Rogelio’s apartment: Rogelio was with Desiree on the sofa. Desiree looked like she’s in big trouble. To cheer her up, Rogelio told her the good news… that tomorrow; first thing in the morning… she is needed to be at his office as she needs to put her signature that will give her the power to move all her husband’s share to her.
Morning comes…
Enriqueta’s apartment: Enriqueta & Manuel was hugging each other for several times as they both seem to have enough of it. Manuel asked Enriqueta whether she’d like to come over to his house & get to know his family well. She said yes.
In the office: Rogelio was looking at his watch as his 2 lawyers are still waiting for Desiree. He was worried but stayed calm. A little while later, Desiree came in looking sexy as usual… greeted them with her big smile.
De la Vega’s house: Aunt Eva was combing Rafael’s hair. She told him that he does not need to go to school but can follow her to go out sight seeing. Rafael liked the idea very much.
In the office: Desiree signed the papers while Rogelio watched from the side.
Mauricio’s office: Mauricio spoke to Armando & Enriqueta about Rogelio’s plan, as he will not support him from now on due to the fact that his relationship with Carlota is not in good terms anymore. Rogelio is strongly against him. Armando was worried about their company.
Perez house: Manuel got back home & saw Azucena. He seeks her permission to bring a lady to their house. The doorbell rang; Manuel opened the door & was surprised to see a lady walked in. She introduced herself to Manuel as cousins & to Azucena as her niece.
In the office: Juana walked into the office, caught Brandy smiling & head towards her. Brandy gave her a small gift as her birthday will be the next day.
Perez house: Maria, Manuel & Azucena was talking in the living room. Maria was hoping to coax them to forgive Ramon.
In the office: Mauricio continued to argue with Armando as Enriqueta sat & didn’t say anything.
In another office: Desiree was drinking with Rogelio to celebrate her victory. Now she can demand anything as her wish is Rogelio’s command. Rogelio was about to get intimate with Desiree when suddenly his secretary buzz him on the phone. Rogelio answered the call & was told by his secretary that his daughter is in front & wants to see him. He asked her to stall Carlota for a few minutes as he starts thinking of where he can hide Desiree. There was an empty room, he summons her to go in & wait for him. Before heading to his door, he made sure that any Desiree’s belonging is not in his room. Carlota was about to enter as he opened the door to let her in. She was crying & about to break down He asked her to stay calm & start telling him what had happened. At the same time, Desiree was trying to listen from another door that was slightly ajar. Carlota finally regains her strength & told her father about what Mauricio had done to her that day. The worst part was about Juana’s unborn child. Mauricio had claimed the baby to be his through artificial insemination. There goes the answer to her riddle that Desiree had been waiting for. She smiled wickedly & told to herself that, Juana should be told of this, of Mauricio’s real intention towards her.
