Tania gave sleeping pills to Carlota to make her relax as she looked unsteady. She had vented her anger & would find out who is responsible for her to be in that stage. She wished to destroy that person as she is not satisfied. Mauricio sat on the floor in Aunt Eva’s apartment, looking up & thinking about his problem. He needs to find a solution for his relationship with Carlota. He regretted on all the things that had happened during the party. Juana was listening to what David had to say to her. He told her that he had promised that he will always respect her feelings. He asked her why Mauricio called; Juana told him that he called to say that he’s sorry of what happened that day. David told her that Mauricio had come to his house looking for her. David had picked up her call during her sleep & told him not to disturb. Juana was very mad at him because he didn’t even inform her about it event though he has a chance to tell her. He told her … he thinks that it wasn’t important & necessary to bother her with the information. He cares & loves her so much. Azucena was eavesdropping in the kitchen & quite agree with what David had told her. Rafael sat at one corner in his house (de la Vega) & thought about what Carlota had said to her about his new father leaving them both alone. He feels lost & sad thinking that he’s not loved by both of them. Petra & her mother were telling Salvador about what the thieves had stole in their house. Petra & her mother informed him that things such as 29inch TV, microwave oven had been taken away. Petra was quite unhappy about the missing iron that she loved so much & stressed to him that she wants it back. Carlos invited A.Maria in his apartment. A.Maria was so glad that he had gone sightseeing with her on his bike. She felt relieved as she does not think about her problems at that time. She felt like flying. Carlos gets closer to A.Maria. Petra stressed to Salvador about her iron that’s really of a sentimental value to her. Petra thought that Salvador had teased her about the iron. She told him that she knew Salvador is having a relationship with A.Maria & the whole neighbor is gossiping about it. Salvador was giving her the ‘blur’ face. A.Maria told Carlos about his kiss, she liked it but had doubt about what her next move is going to be. Carlos was confused to what she was trying to say. She told him that life experience has thought her to be more resilience in falling in love. She had to more careful when chasing love & when expressing the love quite easily. A.Maria made a conclusion that she don’t want to fall in love anymore because it’s not possible falling in love with him. She asked him to take her back. Desiree nearly spilled her drink when she sees Rogelio entered the bar. She quickly explained to him that Armando accompanied her to have food as she was starving to death. She told him that she didn’t have time to eat at the party because of the incident that had happened. She was worried about Carlota. Rogelio told her that she should worry about his daughter as she is a woman of substance & would not give up easily just like him. Rogelio teased & warned him nicely to Armando that he’s being protective over things that belong to him. Armando knew that it was coming sooner or later from him. Mauricio took back some food for his dinner. He puts it on the table counter & sighed to himself. His aunt is right as she never doubted about him coming to her apartment. The apartment is bare & lonely, just nice with his loneliness that he’s facing right now… he gulps down his drink. Juana was remembering the words that Mauricio had told her. She could not understand why Mauricio informed her about him, leaving the house. A.Maria got back & sits right next to Juana to have a chat. She told her daughter that she had a brief walk for her to think of Juana’s problem & hers too. Juana understands what her mother is going through & she couldn’t blame her as she loves her so much. She’s happy that they are in good terms & would always be by her side come what may, through happiness, hardship or sadness. They both hug each other. Mauricio couldn’t sleep all night as he is seen slumped near a wall, on a floor. He sees the morning glooms right under his eyes, as it had been quite some time that he had witnesses it. What he knows is that he had made a decision to start a new life. Juana came down from the stairs & saw her grandmother peeping at the window. She asked her what she’s looking at. Azucena told her that she’s worried about Manolito & that he didn’t come back home. She knows that he had never done it before & she’s really worried about her only son. Juana pleaded with her grandmother to make her a breakfast. Tania opens the door to Amparito. She walks in & scolded Tania for not informing her early of her only daughter’s condition. Rafael poked his head out from a room as he heard his new grandmother voice, chatting away like a bullet. Tania & Amparito quickly head on to the stairs & up to Carlota’s bedroom. Rafael walked out from the room & hurriedly got out of the house. Amparito was at her daughter’s bed side, trying to wake her up but she didn’t budge. She panicked & asked Tania how much she took the pills. Carlos was eating breakfast while David was explained to him regarding Juana’s problem. David told him that he was mad at Mauricio for playing Juana’s feeling & he took advantage of her vulnerable state. David was also mad at Juana for being so blind & not sees David’s true intention as he loved her sincerely. Juana is everything to David. Rafael walks aimlessly on the street & headed to the park. He stops & starts to think to himself. Mauricio walks into the shopping complex browsing through the items when one of the sales ladies asked her what she can do to help him. He told her that, he needed everything from the mattress right up to the toothbrush. Amparito assist Carlota to the bed. Carlota confirmed with her mother that Mauricio had left the house but he would not leave her. She is quite sure that Mauricio is staying in a hotel somewhere & will be back as soon as he is calm. Carlos told David that he too is facing a problem with his girlfriend which is much older than him. He told David that he’s not sure about his relationship with A.Maria, whether it’s long lasting or not. He feels restless with any woman who wants to have a long relationship. Carlos informed him that, right after he gets what he wants… he will ditched them. Juana & A.Maria was at the living room enjoying their milkshake. Juana had not drunk it for quite some time & they both laughed at the very idea. Juana told her mother that, Azucena, right now is pretty worried about Manolito as he wasn’t home all night. A.Maria was shocked to hear the news. Juana mentioned to her that… maybe he is stuck somewhere & had met with his ideal sweetheart. A.Maria pestered Juana to tell her who was she but Juana would not tell. The door bell rang; Juana got to the door & welcomed Salvador in. A.Maria was happy to see him & they both greeted one another. Mauricio was still in the shopping complex browsing through items one by one while a lady jots down what he preferred from bed sheets right up to the cutleries. Tania was seen in shocked as she had been looking high & low for Rafael but could not find him. She asked Jose, her husband but he too hadn’t seen him. Carlota informed her mother that Mauricio’s heart is not calm & he needed time to think. Carlota thought that their intimate relationship is still fresh & as usual but it was not what she had expected it. She told her mother that, Mauricio has no feelings toward her anymore & that he told Carlota that an intimate relationship without love is not the same & it’s really pathetic to him. Carlota’s world is crushed. Tania knocked on the door, came in to inform Carlota & Amparito that Rafael was missing as she has searched everywhere. A.Maria told her mother that she had bumped into Salvador yesterday as she was taking a breeze. She told Salvador about Juana’s predicament. Salvador mentioned to her that he had offered his help to try & counsel Juana. Azucena was happy that her daughter was letting Salvador into their home again. Salvador was chatting with Juana at the living room. He told her that he’s worried about her & the problem that she faced. She should be hearing from an experienced man like him. He further told her that, if Mauricio is really in love with her & that his love for Juana is sincere … he should confront with Juana’s family, to all the people & starts to think about the divorce procedure. Door bell rang again … Azucena was seen babbling, complaining about the frequent interruptions as she does not like anybody to disturb Juana & Salvador’s discussion. Azucena was shocked to see Rafael at the door. He seems to be lost & confused. He went straight to Juana. Juana held him & asked what was wrong. He told her that a terrible thing had happened. Carlota & Amparito was downstairs, worrying about Rafael’s whereabout. Amparito advised her daughter to call her husband as he is sure to come back in an instance. Juana gave Rafael a drink & tried to comfort him. Azucena asked him whether he’s alone. He told her that Carlota never actually wanted an adopted child & did not love him. Mauricio too does not love him as he had left the house & brought his belongings along. Juana was speechless with Rafael’s confession. Mauricio’s handphone rang & he excused himself from the sales lady. He answered the call; it was his mother in law… She had told him that his action has caused Rafael to run away from home. Mauricio was shocked. Juana calmed Rafael down. In the kitchen, A.Maria was trying to listen what Rafael had just said. She relayed it to Azucena & Salvador. Ramon & Maria Rosa (his niece) stepped down from the bus. She is excited as she could not wait to see her aunt. Ramon told her to stay calm & be patient. Juana was comforting Rafael. All of a sudden, the door bell rang; Azucena went to the door, opened it & saw Mauricio. He comes to take Rafael back. Juana was asking who was at the door as she could not see from her side. A.Maria tried to hint her to look at the door. Juana turned & saw Mauricio; she puts her hand to cover her mouth. 'sólo a tu lado quiero vivir ... sin ti mi cielo se vuelve gris ...dime que hacer si no estás aqui...' I Feeeel Gooood ... To Be Continued on Tuesday, 17th June 2003 |
