| de la Vega’s house Mauricio was on the phone talking with Juana while Carlota listens to the other end of the line. He was a bit surprised to know that she called to his house. Juana knows that she shouldn’t call him, as she only wanted to know why he didn’t come to work & hoped that it was not because of what happened yesterday. He told her that, he has a problem to settle & wants Juana not to worry, … he does not want to hurt her feelings. Carlota was still listening to their conversation. Amparito’s house Amparito attended to Humberto’s cheek that was slapped by Rogelio. He was being rude to his father. Humberto was trying to resist his pain & told her that, it always happened every time he tried to defend her. He asked her mother why she didn’t love herself, it’s making his mother looked like a door mat. His father is just scared of Humberto’s grand father. His mother told her not to worry as she’d already gave a few conditions to Rogelio & this time, if he fails … he’d better be ready as they’ll be no more chances. Humberto didn’t believe her mother as she keeps landing on her sorriest state. de la Vega’s house Juana was thinking that she should put down the phone, as she now knows that Mauricio is ok. She didn’t mean to disturb him. Mauricio assured her that it’s ok & besides, he was glad to hear her voice. The minute Juana put down the phone, she shouted for joy. Carlota was boiling with anger … she said … ‘that bitch!!… can afford to tackle my husband..’ She knows already, what was the caused of their break up. She told to herself …’wait till tomorrow, … Juana Perez, wait till I teach you a lesson ..’ Carlota just can’t seem to cool down her temper when she thinks of Juana. In the office Juana was restless for what she had done. It was so silly of her, calling Mauricio at home. His wife could catch her. She doesn’t know what on earth was she thinking. David suddenly came in & offered her a drink with him. Juana looked at him … de la Vega’s house / in the living room Carlota was walking back & forth, trying to figure a way on how to fight back. She does not want to confront her husband & showed her jealous just for a phone call. She needs to be smart & think of a strategy. She hurriedly went up the stairs to see Mauricio. In the bedroom Mauricio was sitting on the bed, thinking about Juana that called at his house. He was a bit worried as to why she called him. He told to himself that he should not be thinking of Juana but to try to settle his problem with Carlota first. Carlota stepped into their bedroom & saw Mauricio sitting on the bed, thinking of something. She tells him that she needs to have a word with him from heart to heart. She explained that she might know what is the problem between them. She tells him that their relationship is too boring & they should try to preserve their marriage. At least she should be given a chance to be able to do something to save their relationship. In the office – Juana’s photo lab David said to her that, he tried looking for her yesterday but could not. He was wondering where she’d be. She told him that, she went & did her pregnancy checkup for the first time. David was a bit sad, as she didn’t informed him earlier. He asked her whether she went by herself … she lied to him & said, yes. She could not afford to tell him that Mauricio accompanied her. David advised her, if she ever goes to do her checkup, she needs to let him know so that he can accompany her. She agreed. In the office – Enriqueta’s room Armando was waving a white flag to Enriqueta, as if to show that he surrenders. Enriqueta was surprised to see his foolishness & asked him what he did wrong. He was asking her whether Enriqueta would like to go to Rafael’s party with him. He’s willing to fetch her as his ex-wife stays quite nearby to her apartment. In the office – Juana’s photo lab David reminded Juana that Rafael’s party will be tomorrow. He told her that the party would be very significant to the de la Vega’s family. Rafael will have lots of fun at the party but Mauricio & Carlota would be the luckiest couple as their wish came true. David was proud of Mauricio for not giving up hope to have what he wished for. He complimented his boss that, he has a wife that he loves & with the existence of a son would further keep their marriage closer. Juana had to agree with David as; she would not want him to know the truth. David offered himself to Juana of wanting to accompany her to the party. He’d be glad if she accepted it. Juana thought to herself for a while. Perez home A.Maria hurriedly walked down the stairs & headed straight to the kitchen where Azucena was folding their clothes. She was looking for something. A.Maria wanted to discuss with her mother on how they would go to the party. A.Maria saw what she was looking for - a tank top & a blouse. She grabs it & Azucena was shocked to see what she took. She asked her whether she’d go to the party wearing that. A.Maria told her that she’s going out tonight. She ran upstairs leaving her mother wondering what she is up to. In the office – Juana’s photo lab Juana told David that she’s not invited to the party. She’s been paid to be a photographer at Rafael’s party. She has to be on duty & could not accompany him. David told him that, she could count on him if she ever needs anything or his help. Juana smiled at him. In the office – Enriqueta’s room Armando was explaining something that made Enriqueta upset. Enriqueta scolded him & asked him to get out of her room. After he left, Enriqueta was babbling to herself about how rude Armando was. Suddenly she thought of Manuel as she misses him. She decided to give him a call at his house. Perez home Nicolas was showing his new shoes to Manuel. Manuel complimented it. The phone rang & Manuel answered it. It was Enriqueta. She told him that she wanted to hear his voice & offered him to come over to her place again & Manuel agreed. He put down the phone & was so happy while Nicolas watched him. Night falls … Perez home Manuel was whistling to himself (about to leave the house) but he saw his mother in the kitchen sobbing alone. He came over to her & asked what had happened. She told him that A.Maria has done it again… she is going out with her young trainer tonight. Manuel was ashamed of his sister’s behavior. Enriqueta’s apartment She was busily preparing food for their dinner. She sat at her sofa … waiting for Manuel to come. She told herself that … she might be taking her revenge on him tonight. She warned herself not to get excited & had to be careful of her behavior. Perez home A.Maria was combing her hair in the living room. Manuel approached his sister & asked her where is she going. She told him that she couldn’t talk much as Carlos is outside with his bike, waiting for her. Manuel tried to catch his sister but she got away. Azucena saw the commotion & told her son to leave her alone, let it be … as she’s still haven’t learned her lesson & had not suffered enough … doing the same mistake, over & over again. They can’t do anything… Amparito’s house Rogelio was drinking & told himself to calm down & be very patient. Suddenly, Amparito comes in - wearing her sexy, pink, short nightgown … trying to seduce him. She came close to where he stands …& showed herself to him. Rogelio (with his eyes wide opened) preyed her like a hawk, as he looked up & down. Rogelio had to admit that, his wife is still sexy. Amparito smiled & said that she’s glad that he acknowledged her existence. She gets closer & told him that he still owes her something He shouldn’t be afraid as had to fulfil her conditions. de la Vega’s house / in the bedroom Carlota was trying to seduce Mauricio by wearing her sexy black lingerie. She was displaying herself to Mauricio as he looked at her (such awful funny looking face). She told him that she deserved a chance to show him … why they got married. She gets closer to him …Mauricio’s face looks even more confused. Enriqueta’s apartment Enriqueta suddenly noticed that she had slept on the sofa. She was puzzled as to why Manuel is still not around. She checked her hand phone but Manuel didn’t try to call. She got mad all of a sudden as Manuel has stood her up. He should have called if he had something on. She overcome her anger, she planned to watch a movie by herself. She took her keys with her bag & went out. Perez home Manuel got out from the kitchen to make a quick call to Enriqueta while his mother watched from behind. He got no answer from her. He started to think … Juana got back from work & saw Azucena standing near Manuel. Azucena suddenly snapped & told her that … ‘there’s another one, like daughter, like mother … the same character. Juana asked her … what she had done wrong this time … She scolded her for being so blind enough to trust that Mauricio who is already married, will leave everything just for Juana. She wished Juana to carry on with her dream. Juana looked in disbelief. de la Vega’s house / in the bedroom Carlota continues to seduce Mauricio slowly as he sits like a puppet with that weird looking face again. Perez home Azucena yak yak yak at her grand daughter, non-stop about her behavior being the same as her mother. They both are repeating the same mistake one after another in their life. A.Maria with … her crazy idea, going out with her trainer, which is so much younger… while Juana … still fooling around with a matured man that’s already married. Manuel just can’t bear to hear Azucena’s wailing siren … so he asked Juana to go up & stay in her room. Juana got mad & stomped her way up. Manuel tried to coax his mother but she pushed him away … telling him not to pity her. She went into the kitchen leaving Manuel with much bigger problem to think of. Manuel regretted for not calling Enriqueta much earlier. Manuel thought about what Enriqueta might think of him. de la Vega’s house / in the bedroom Mauricio was lying on the bed leaving Carlota talking & touching him. He keeps telling Carlota that he does not have feelings towards her anymore. Carlota wasn’t listening. He’s feeling restless as Carlota told him that she would try to revive her love to him. Mauricio just let her do whatever she wants. Carlota tries to make love to him. In a disco Carlos & A.Maria walked hand in hand towards the bar counter. He orders her tequila. The music was so loud & she hardly hears what Carlos was saying. Perez home Juana was lying on the bed … she told herself that … what her grandmother has said was right. She kept on asking herself, why she made a fool of herself by calling Mauricio at his house. Enriqueta’s apartment Manuel rang the bell so many times but Enriqueta was not in. He was lucky that Enriqueta coincidentally got back & unlocked her front door. They both got in … Manuel starts interrogating Enriqueta where she was … she told him bluntly that she went to a movie all by herself. She couldn’t wait for him that long. Manuel saw food being laid on the table & thought it was for them … Enriqueta told him that it wasn’t for him but if he wants, he can have it. Manuel sensed that Enriqueta is trying to defense herself from him. In a disco Carlos gave encouragement for her to drink more tequila. A.Maria was enjoying herself. Carlos then coaxed her to dance with him. She agreed & danced all her might. Enriqueta’s apartment Enriqueta still with her stubbornness … didn’t give Manuel a chance to redeem himself. Manuel feeling dejected left her apartment. Enriqueta felt like she might have gone too far. Perez home Juana could not sleep peacefully as she keeps on thinking about her feelings toward Mauricio. Juana got up & went to sleep in her mother’s bed. While trying to sleep, she found a black & white picture of her grandmother & grandfather when they were young. Manuel waited for A.Maria to come back. A.Maria comes in, drunk & raised her voice like nobody’s business. Manuel told her to lower down her voice but his sister could not care less. He’s afraid that she might wake their mother up. She keeps on laughing & talking to herself. Morning comes … de la Vega’s house Mauricio & Rafael were talking & heading their way to the living room while Carlota follows from behind. Rafael sensed that Mauricio looked very unhappy & sad. Mauricio told him to get ready for the party that will start soon. Doorbell rang & Rafael rushed to the door thinking that it could be his friends. It was Mauricio’s aunt who he had not met for quite some time. They both glad to see each other. His aunt does not seem to like Carlota as she gave very sinister remarks to her. Perez home Juana, Azucena, Manuel & Nicolas was ready to go to the party … A.Maria came down still wearing her pajamas & looked like she just woke up. She had the biggest hangover look on her face. de la Vega’s house Mauricio talked with his aunt about his recent visit to her cabin. She was glad that he’s very comfortable staying at the cabin. She sensed that Mauricio is hiding something from her, as he looked so worried. Perez home A.Maria was lying on the sofa while everybody watched her in silence. She told them that she does not want to go to the party. Juana could not wait, as she has to be there early. A lady (can’t remember her name - has a crush on Manuel, always needed Manuel to repair her iron) comes in to greet them with a gift in her hand. They were surprised to see her as she announced that she’s going with them. Manuel was mad at Nicolas for opening his mouth & invited the lady to come over to the party with them. Enriqueta’s apartment Doorbell rang.. Enriqueta opened to see Armando’s son at the door. She saw Armando – assuming that she’d go with him. Armando pleaded with her to come along. She agreed. Perez home Manuel was trying to talk his way out to discourage the lady to go but she seems to be ‘thick skinned’. de la Vega’s house Juana arrived at Mauricio’s house & parked her motor to one side. She suddenly remembered the 1st time she was there … where Mauricio held a party. She remembered what she had told to Brandy the moment she saw Mauricio … She smiled at herself. Mauricio smiled seeing Juana had arrived early. Juana smiled back … as he gets nearer to her. Their face nearly touched each other as they both gazed into each other’s eyes.
