| At the clinic Dr Francisco showed them both the baby on the tv monitor. Mauricio was excited to see & thought to him self that he finally sees his unborn child. Juana was smiling seeing the helpless unborn child in her stomach. She & Mauricio looked at each other smiling. Mauricio & Juana talked to Dr Francisco about the baby’s condition. He told them not to worry as the baby is doing fine. Mauricio was doing all the talking & looks like he is so excited than Juana as she keeps herself silence. Amparito’s home Amparito, Carlotta & Humberto was arguing about his new job. His mother is not happy about it & told him why he wants to leave him. Humberto told her that he’s not leaving – he just needs to find a job. At the office Desiree was asking to Mauricio’s secretary where Mauricio is. She didn’t tell her. Desiree was not satisfied with her answer. When the secretary left her place, Desiree took a peek at Mauricio’s schedule & noticed the he has gone out with Juana. At the clinic Juana was standing at one corner while Mauricio paid the bill by cheque. He thanked the receptionist. Seeing him pay made Juana cried openly to him as she said that once she has her salary… she will pay him back but Mauricio said … there’s no need to do so as he do not mind. She said… how could he not mind; he is not the father of the baby & yet took great concern to come for her check up & paid the cost. She told him that she needs to be alone at the moment but Mauricio did not listen. Mauricio calms her down by suggesting her to go at the park where she will be happy. At Perez home Nicolas comes in & brought along Rafael. Nicolas greeted Azucena while she said hello to Rafael. At the office Brandy was with Enriqueta discussing about work. Brandy noticed that her boss’s mind is somewhere else. She assumed that she must have seen Manuel. Enriqueta asked Brandy whether is it true that Juana would not want to know who the father is to her unborn child. Brandy was silence. At Enriqueta’s apartment Manuel had opened the door using Enriqueta’s key. He brought red roses with him. He was happy to be inside her apartment. He quickly looks around & heads on to her kitchen. At Perez home Nicolas was talking to Rafael while Azucena watched them. A.Maria was peeping from the window to see a driver waiting outside for Rafael. Rafael told them that he is now officially Mauricio & Carlotta’s son. He invites Nicolas, Azucena & A.Maria to come to his party to celebrate the occasion. He asked A.Maria to tell & invite Juana too. At the office Enriqueta coaxed Brandy into the possibility of finding the father of Juana’s child. Insisting that what if the person comes from a good background, will Juana considers him … At the park Mauricio rode the bike while Juana sit on the side compartment & enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the way. Juana felt relieved after the long ride. They walked towards the cafeteria. At Perez home Rafael reminded them to come to his party. He insisted that all must come. The driver rang the bell to warn Rafael that it’s time to go home. He bid them farewell. At Enriqueta’s apartment Manuel came out from the kitchen with a vase filled with his red roses. He puts it on the front table. He smelled the roses. He saw Enriqueta’s photo & admired what he saw … a picture of Enriqueta when she was small. At the office Brandy was thinking about David about what he had said. The office cum despatch boy came in to give s/thing. Soon, Enriqueta tells Brandy that she has to leave early today. Brandy just nods her head while she talked to the boy. At Perez home Nicolas was writing a list of things that he needs to buy for Rafael’s party. Nicolas asked Azucena about her list … she told him that she would not attend it. Nicolas was very sad. At the park Juana & Mauricio was seated while looking through their menus. She told him that when Calotta invited her to come & take photos for Rafael’s party … she felt as if Carlotta was stabbing her heart with a long knife. Her reaction really hurts her a lot. Mauricio calms her again & told her not to worry. She wants him to know that she faces a lot of challenge & hardship in loving him. She’ll have a hard time trying to forget her love towards him … but eventually, she will have the courage to do it … she’s trying very hard & she knows that for sure, she will definitely forgets her love for him. Mauricio looked deep into Juana’s eye … At Perez home Nicolas saw A.Maria folding clothes … he asked her whether she could accompany him to the party as Azucena do not want to go. She said that she will think about it but did suggest her to go with Juana. Azucena came in the kitchen …A.Maria saw this opportunity to suggest her that they better go to Rafael’s party. Azucena thinks she’s crazy … but A.Maria thinks it’s the best step. Azucena said no … as she had already made up her mind. A.Maria told her that if they go as a family, Juana would not be humiliated. Azucena thought for awhile. At the park – cafeteria Mauricio thinks that he’s not sure whether Juana should run away from him. Juana does not like his ways but Mauricio has to admit to her that he can’t bare to stay away from her. She asked him whether he knows what he’s saying … & why now? Why in front of Carlotta, he was as quiet as a mouse? Why … She said … because a baby exists in between them & he’ll do a/thing to become a father … but he is not the father of her baby. There was once he treated her nicely but the real reason is, he wanted the baby to be his … isn’t it right? She asked him. Mauricio finally confessed & told her … he has feeling towards her … “only for you, Juana Perez” She asked him what he was doing here, why does she lets him in during the checkup? Why she loves him … why ... as everything will only hurt her heart more. Mauricio took her hand & kissed it softly. He told her …’don’t be too sure on that’ She asked … ‘with what?’ That her love will be not be paid back, her love will only confused things but he’s not sure with a/thing. At Perez home Azucena still arguing with A.Maria with the decision … to go or not to go … Azucena told A.Maria that she would not go & so as Juana. A.Maria persuaded her & tells her that no matter what Juana will go as she loves Rafael since he was a baby. She will definitely go … At the park – cafeteria She asked him … ‘what do you mean that you’re not sure about a/thing?’ He said … ‘that it’s the truth… All day he will think, if only he has an excuse for him to be near Juana. At least be near her …’ Mauricio tells Juana that … ‘the limits between them of what should & what should not, ends here. He said … ‘This is the truth & we can’t deny it a/more.’ With that … Mauricio gets close to her. Juana shuts her eyes & let Mauricio kissed her. At Perez home A.Maria was still waiting for an answer from her mother. She finally said that she’ll think about it but that does not mean that she’ll go. A.Maria is happy to know that … she told to her self … Carlotta will see soon of her Perez family … not any ordinary people. At the park – cafeteria Mauricio asked the waiter for the bill … Juana said that it’s already late, she need to go back home … we need to go back. She commented that the weather’s hot … Mauricio was puzzled …’hot?’ & then Juana feeling embarrassed, said … ‘no…, she’s hot’ .. He just smiled. At Enriqueta’s apartment Manuel was preparing seafood for Enriqueta. He smelled the aroma & checks his watch. Manuel is hopping that Enriqueta comes back home soon. He can’t wait any longer for her. Manuel is acting a bit psycho here … as he tries to do a telepathic mind to Enriqueta. At Amparito’s home Humberto was testing his camera’s lenses while his mother walks in. She assumed that her son will leave her just like what his father is doing to her. He asked her to forgive him as half of his life he had showed love to his mother & definitely will always be near her. He said that he deserve to take charge of his own life. What he owns is not his but the families. He wants to work & have things on his own. If he does not do a/thing, he will never own a/thing. She told him that … she thinks a nurse must have switched her baby with somebody else … she left him with that statement. Humberto was speechless. At the park – leaving the cafeteria Juana told him that .. ‘if only they have a future together or at least one thing in common … then we don’t have to worry’. Mauricio holds her close to him, he sensed that Juana is trying to push him away. Leaving him at the time that he’s about to confessed his feeling towards her? He told her that… ‘I’m wiling to face any risk just as long as we’re not parted.’ He also said that nobody made him happy but Juana has done it today & he’s glad. She asked him whether they have the same feeling between one another. She warns Mauricio not to stand to close to her as she’s feeling a little awkward. He said … ‘but why …’ This time Mauricio’s head & nose touched hers as they’re so close now to each other than ever before. She said … ‘if it’s not going to happened, she’ll surely die’. He asked her to stay calm as she’s not going to die if she is near him. With that, Mauricio kissed her again (for the 2nd time). At de la Vega’s home Carlotta got back & saw Rafael approaching her to tell the good news. He told her that he has invited his entire friend & Juana’s family. She told him that … it looks like we’re going to have a lot of guest. She thought to her self, there would be a war soon as Mauricio had invited Desiree & Amparito will be furious while Carlotta will face Juana & her family. At the park After their long kiss … she asked him what the time was, she thinks that he should stop as it’s late already. He doesn’t know the time … & said ‘but time has stop temporarily for me’. She warns him not to say a/thing as she want to savior & remembers this moment. He made her laugh. As they got closer to Juana’s bike, Mauricio asked her whether she would want to sit at the back of him. She said, ‘yes’. They put on their helmet & Juana spontaneously wrapped her hands around him & spontaneously kissed his cheek. Mauricio smiled in delight. At Enriqueta’s apartment Manuel waited for her. Enriqueta finally comes back home. Manuel opens the door & saw her standing holding a wine bottle. She came in & was surprised to see that her apartment had been made up. She smelled s/thing nice coming out from the kitchen. At the office They finally reached to their office building. Juana was half asleep, her hands still wrapped around him. Mauricio wakes Juana up. She told him that she was dreaming about their place just now. Brandy got out from the building & saw Mauricio & Juana on the bike. He bids them farewell to Juana & Brandy. Juana was still smiling & Brandy had to ask her several times, what had happened. She told her …nothing had happened & smiled back. Mauricio came into his office & noticed his secretary is still around. His secretary told him that Dr. Ricardo Monsalve is waiting for him inside. He comes in & greets Ricardo. Ricardo sensed s/thing wrong as Mauricio looked so nervous. He told him that he just got back from the clinic … with Juana. Ricardo was surprised. At Enriqueta’s apartment Enriqueta changed her clothes while Manuel poured out wine on their glasses. When she came out, Manuel whistled to her & said that she was beautiful. He sips his wine & kissed her on the lips. At the office Dr Ricardo asked him what happened … as Mauricio was smiling & giggling to him self. He said that, he mind now, is in a big mess & then he told him that … ‘Juana’s the one, the real one’. It might be hard for him to believe but he has fallen in love with Juana Perez, he told him. Dr Ricardo was shocked, could not believed what he had heard. I feeeeel gooood … To Be Continued on Friday, 6th June 2003 |
