| In the office Juana was being interrogated by Desiree for trying to find out who the father of the baby that she’s carrying inside. She knows that Juana would not tell her but she has her own way to confirm what she knew. Juana was not comfortable at all, telling loudly to herself that … today is definitely a bad day for her. Juana was not in the mood of talking to anybody especially Desiree. Desiree mentioned that she had seen & read the magazine article that has Juana’s story. She tried to squeeze out information about her. She wants to be on Juana’s side but to do that, she must first know what had happened to her. She tried everything from pleasing her but Juana in the end did not ‘buy’ it. She’s as cunning as a fox to her & it’s written all over Desiree’s face. She plants a question to see Juana’s reaction by saying that if she is in Juana’s shoe right now – she would have find the doctor who got her pregnant & sue like nobody’s business. Juana revealed that she is not like her - to sue people as & when she likes & thus caught her off-guard when saying this as Desiree clapped in excitement, for she now … knows that her guess was right. Desiree warns Juana to be careful of Mauricio as he is not what Juana thinks … Mauricio has made her believe into something that is not true. Juana has been tricked & used by him. Juana told her that nothing could persuade her to change the way he looks & thinks at Mauricio. Desiree has exhausted her means, finally told her that time will only tell to prove what she said is true … all Juana needs to do is just wait & see. And when that time come, Desiree will be clapping her hands as she sees Juana collapse. Desiree stomps her way out not satisfied. She felt relieved & worried at the same time. After she left, Juana tried to calm herself, as she could not face another more challenge. She felt like crying but she controlled herself… David entered with a glass of water for her to drink. He’s really worried about Juana’s condition. Juana told him that Carlotta & Desiree came to see her. She has a bad feeling towards Carlotta … somehow or rather she knows Carlotta is not a good person. Mauricio came in & saw Juana & David talking. He felt like David had cut his line as he need to speak to her privately. He greets them both. David told him that Juana nearly fainted & had given her something to drink. Mauricio got worried & asked whether she needs to see a doctor. David assured him not to worry, as he’s sure Juana is all right by now. Juana told them both … not to worry. When hearing that, Mauricio told her that he wants to see her in his office. Outside, somewhere near Perez house A.Maria & Carlos were hiding behind a wall while Salvador screamed to the guy to put down the weapon. The guy did not care & bullets were flying all over between him & Salvador. A.Maria saw them & was scarred to death. The guy with the gun suddenly heads on towards where A.Maria & Carlos were hiding. He quickly grabbed A.Maria & pointed a gun to her face. Salvador wasted no time as he aim & shoots at one of the guy’s knees. Seeing the guy collapse with A.Maria … Salvador & Pachecho quickly take this opportunity to restrained & handcuffed him. Salvador puts out his hands to help A.Maria stand up but was prevented by her, as she was not happy. She’s so angry with him for shooting without giving a second thought that A.Maria was with him. She could get hit instead of the bad guy. Carlos also defended her in front of Salvador. He just could not believed what he had heard. What he knows that he had just saved her … Pachecho was mad that his friend was being mocked at … Salvador thinks he is the hero & should be congratulated for his bravery buttt noooooo … A.Maria insulted him. Carlos escorted A.Maria to her home while Salvador & Pachecho watched them in disbelief. Even though A.Maria told him that Carlos was her fitness trainer, Salvador thinks differently – he looks young & that A.Maria seems to be so attached to this guy. In the Perez house A.Maria sneaked into her house while Carlos trailed behind her. He finally gets to be in her house. When A.Maria saw that her family was not at home, she asked Carlos to sit down. A.Maria could not sit still as she was still recovering by the shooting incident. She whispered to him that Salvador nearly killed her & that Salvador was being so reckless shooting without even thinking. Carlos doesn’t understand why she was whispering to him. A.Maria noticed that Carlos is so calmed & asked him what is wrong with him … why is he so relaxed as if nothing happened. All a sudden, Azucena came out from the kitchen sensing someone was talking in the living room. Carlos stood up like a pole the minute he saw Azucena as if to show respect. A.Maria was caught red handed for bringing a stranger into their house. Azucena eyed on them suspiciously. A.Maria got the hint & quickly told her of what had happened to her on her way back. Carlos was in a guilty situation as he sees her mother not in the mood of talking & acted very strangely towards him. A.Maria had lied to her mother by saying that Carlos had saved her from getting shot & he was a real hero. A.Maria told her mother that Carlos is her fitness trainer. Azucena now knows why her daughter suddenly got an interest in sports. Carlos bid farewell to A.Maria, A.Maria approached Azucena & scolded her for being so rude to a guest. She felt so embarrassed when Azucena humiliated her in front of Carlos. She told her that she had every right to do whatever she can in the house. Azucena shoots her back by saying that Carlos is too young for her. In Salvador’s office Salvador & Pachecho were siting & thinking about their recent encounter. They both could not believed what A.Maria had done to them. Instead of a thank you … they got insulted for not being too careful of their job even tough they have caught the bad guy. The way she treats Salvador was unacceptable … it really brings his self-esteem down. He could not help it - he felt jealous of the guy who was with A.Maria. He seems too young for her. Pachecho warns him to control his emotion & not get carried away. In Enriqueta’s office Enriqueta walked in her office & was thinking to her self about what Mauricio had told her … She doesn’t know whether she can keep Mauricio’s secret away from Manuel. She remembered what Juana had told her about having doubt towards Mauricio’s feeling. She felt pity for Juana, as she will definitely face a lot of problems in the future. Her telephone rang … it was Manuel. He just told her that he’s in a supermarket buying ingredients for their tonight’s dinner. He will be preparing a special dinner for her & that made her feel delighted. While walking, Manuel noticed Juana’s motor parked near to her office. He straightened himself up before entering the building as he heads to see Juana. Manuel greeted the receptionist & told her that he’s there to see Juana. The receptionist told him that he just missed her a few minutes ago. The receptionist gave him the permission to find her inside the office. Manuel was with Mauricio’s secretary when Enriqueta bumped into him. She was smiling from ear to ear. Enriqueta leads Manuel to Juana’s photography lab. While she was talking to him, Manuel could not resist & quickly grab her from behind & starts to.. (cut cut cut, snip snip snip!! --> Kissing scene). Enriqueta entered her office, saw Desiree & Armando waited for her to have a discussion. Armando had mentioned about Mauricio’s personal matter into their discussion. Desiree looked sharply into his eyes motioning him not to continue his conversation. Enriqueta wasn’t listening to what Armando had said … she seems to be in a hurry … she excused herself as she will be back soon. Later, Desiree told Armando to be very careful with his word as Enriqueta seems to be quite close with Mauricio. She’s afraid that Enriqueta will report to Mauricio & ruin their plan. After seeing Manuel, Enriqueta was smiling widely to herself. Armando & Desiree were surprised. While Armando & Desiree exchanged thoughts, Desiree asked for Enriqueta’s opinion but her mind seems to be wondering somewhere else. She suddenly snapped back from reality & realized Armando & Desiree was looking at her … They knew that Enriqueta was daydreaming. After Desiree left, Armando grab Enriqueta’s hand & asked her why was she smiling & showing her teeth like she’s on a colgate advertisement. Enriqueta said that it’s not his business to know. Somewhere in the office David entered & saw Brandy was making herself some drink. He asked her if she could make one for him. David told her that he thinks Juana is not well as she nearly fainted in the photography lab. He’s very concerned for her health. Brandy was touched of what David said, she never knew that he is such a caring & responsible person. Brandy told him she would do her best to help him. At Amparito’s house Carlotta visited her mother. They were talking about Carlotta’s decision regarding Juana’s presence at the party. Her mother was happy about it as she thinks it’s crazy. Carlotta assured her mother that it was not what she think it is. Desiree had something plan specially for Juana. She will make Juana see that they (Mauricio & Carlotta) are perfect married couple. She will show more love towards her husband & make sure that Juana gets jealous. Amparito liked her daughter’s evil idea although Amparito has different ways of expressing her defensive system. In Mauricio’s office Mauricio went into his room & found Humberto waiting for him. He totally forgot about him. Without further ado, Mauricio offered him a job to be their 2nd photographer. Humberto was excited & accepted it. He asked him when he could commence work, as he can’t wait to start his working life. Mauricio will let him know soon Juana came in to see Mauricio but was surprised to see somebody was already in. Mauricio introduces Humberto to Juana. After the introduction, Humberto said that … he now finally gets to meet Juana Perez as his sister talked a lot about her. Mauricio told Juana that Humberto would be their 2nd photographer. Juana was not pleased to hear it. She asked whether Humberto is hired to replace her … Mauricio quickly denies it. Humberto saw Juana’s uneasiness & so, Humberto excused himself & will see Mauricio later. After Humberto left, Juana approached Mauricio & told him that … “do you want me to punch you in the face” … She is not that stupid to know what is going on. Mauricio gave such a lame excuse for hiring another photographer. Mauricio asked her to calm down & not jump to conclusion. Somewhere outside & at the clinic Juana was coaxed by Mauricio to follow him to a clinic. Juana was sick & tired as Mauricio keeps on babbling about her pregnancy. She wants him to keep quiet & let her ride her bike in peace. Once inside, Mauricio informs the receptionist that they have an appointment to see Doctor Francisco. She asked them a few questions about Juana’s particular & how far was she – Mauricio knew & told her that she’s in the 4th month of her pregnancy stage. Juana was shocked that Mauricio had monitored her. While Mauricio waits, Juana could not help herself but be angry at what Mauricio had done for her. She does not like to be forced & especially by Mauricio. Mauricio was amused to see Juana in her temper state … he tried to calm her down but she hardly can control herself. When their turn was up, Juana told Mauricio that he could not go in with her, as her stomach is all hers … so she asked him to wait. Mauricio was sad & abide by her decision. The nurse took her vital sign & her blood pressure. After that, asked Juana to lie down … Doctor Francisco came in & asked for Mauricio. Juana was puzzled & asked him why … The doctor simply said that Mauricio wishes to see the ultrasound with Juana. He wants to witness the special moment … to see Juana’s unborn baby. And so, the nurse summons Mauricio to enter & see his baby. Mauricio was happy that Juana gave him that chance. During the ultrasound, Juana & Mauricio were excited & speechless … seeing for the first time … her unborn child through the tv monitor. The doctor told them that the baby is fine & doing ok for now. Mauricio thought to himself … how perfect & safe he is inside Juana’s womb. They both looked at each other & smiled I feeeeeel gooood ....... To be continued on Thursday, 5th June 2003 |
