Ana Maria was very
happy with the news that her father is still alive and wanted to see all of them. Her
mother told her if she wanted to see him, then she’ll have to meet him somewhere else
because they are not meeting in her house. Ana told her mom that this is his house too and
Manuel got really angry and told his sister to have some respect for their mother who
raises them by selling meat pies every morning to pay for the bills, where was his father
then? Ana told her mom that it was her fault their father left because he loves her and
her brother but he couldn’t stand Azucena. She’s the reason he left and now that
he’s back, she’s going to see him and welcome him.
Enriqueta enters her apartment and saw the mess she left this morning to rush for work.
When she was tidying her house, she wonders what Manuel’s reaction will be when he
receives flowers from a woman. Enriqueta prepared the sushi she bought and tried to hide
the evidence by throwing away all the boxes and she wonders what she is going to tell him
if he asked him how she prepared it. The bell rang and there stood a sorrowful Manuel
leaning against the side of the door holding a flower. She told him to come in and he was
surprised to find that she has prepared a candle lit dinner. He was delighted despite his
sadness. She told him she wasn’t sure he’ll come. He told her how could he not
after receiving a bouquet of flowers, a note of apology and an invitation to dinner. She
said he was right about her spending a lot of time alone and she’s very tired of
eating alone. She asked him ‘will you accompany me?’ He reached out with his
hand and she took it and they walk together to the table. He told her he too felt lonely
at times. They sat down and ate. She asked him if there’s something wrong because
he’s not his cheerful self. He told her it’s not her but some family problem.
She told him that she’ll always be there if he needed her. He told her sometimes
it’s better to stay silent. They gazed into each other’s eyes and slowly moved
toward each other and finally they kissed. After dinner, she confessed to him that she
didn’t prepare the dinner but bought it. He told her he appreciate her truthfulness
and sincerity. He really enjoyed the dinner. They moved towards the living room and he
took her hand and danced slowly with her. She told him dancing’s not in her programme
but he told her she should follow his lead. While dancing, she started to slowly open the
buttons on his shirt, but he spoiled the moment by telling her it’s always happened
like this with him. She told him they should stop and it’s not because of him but
it’s her. He told her it’s ok and they’ll take their relationship slowly.
He told her he has to go back now because there’s no way he could remain and not
expect anything to happen between them. After he was gone, she said to herself it’s
not easy for her to let go of him.
David and Juana on the other hand are enjoying their adventure. They ate a dish made out
of Bocachoco fish that control the piranha population and neutralize the ecosystem and
maintain equilibrium. While David was talking to the elders, Juana asked him “can we
eat now?’ He told her he just wanted her to know that he’s serious about this
assignment. Before they left, one of the elders in the family said that Juana is a very
special girl and there’s a light glowing about her person. After they went back, she
said goodnight to David and was about to sleep when it started to rain heavily. She felt
guilty and asked him to sleep in the room. He told her he’ll make a hammock and sleep
on it. He looked at her sleeping form and called her his Juana.
Rafael asked Mauricio if he could call Juana to inform her that he (Raf) has officially
become a De La Vega today. But Mauricio told him Juana is not here and that she’s
spending the time with another journalist. Raf asked him if that makes him angry coz he
looks angry. Mauricio told him he was just worried. Raf asked Mauricio the process of
producing a magazine. Raf told him Juana take great pictures and he agrees. Mauricio was
sitting with Carlota and she told him she’s never felt this contented before and they
are back to becoming the couple people are jealous about. Now they have a son and they are
a family. He was thinking about the time when he was in front of Juana’s house in his
car and they were about to kiss. Carlota told him that the thing she wanted most now from
him is a kiss. He saw himself and Juana standing together with their child and her asking
him to kiss the baby. He wonders ‘What happening between me and you, Juana?’
Brandy was sitting with Mileady in a café and she told her that she love David and thinks
very highly of him. Mileady told her they are not compatible and to forget him and look
for someone else. Suddenly Brandy remembered that she only booked one room for David and
Juana and she started to worry if they’ll spent the night together.
Rogelio and Desiree are celebrating with champagne. Desiree wasn’t drinking much but
she’s certainly pouring a lot for Rogelio and he noticed. He told her to drink and
they could get drunk together. She poured the drink and he drank but she poured hers into
a flower pot. Desiree asked him to explain to her why they are celebrating when they
aren’t signing any deals with the reps from Miami. He told her not to worry but she
told him that she has interest because of her shares in the business. He told her that
he’s plan something and all she has to do is sign the papers when the time comes and
all of it will be hers. She made him drunk and asked him about the time in Paris when he
met with Fransico and asked him what were they discussing because she wants to know. She
didn’t care then but she does now as she has shares in the business. He told her
he’s curious as to the reason she drank with him. He asked her if she’s trying
to fish information out of him.
Amparito was angry at the cheap woman who’s trying to steal her husband. She still
thinks that she has a chance to win her husband back. She asked her son ‘didn’t
your father know that he’s a wrinkled old man and that woman must want something if
she’s willing to be with him. Alfredo told his mom that he’s very sure Rogelio
is not living with Desiree. Humberto told his mom to leave his dad alone as the guy
doesn’t respect them nor does he care about him or his mom.
The next day, when Juana and David came in, Brandy asked them what happened last night and
they told her nothing happened. She was about to question Juana when Ines barges in and
told Juana Mauricio wants to see her the moment she comes in. Mauricio asked her how it
was and she explained it to him with a smile that David knows everything about the
ecosystem and she was about to go into detail when he cut her off and told her she should
remember her pregnancy and she should quit from being a photographer. Juana was perplexed.
