Juana and David argue
about their lodging. She accused him of setting this up so that he can spend the night
with her. He told her he didn’t know there will be a lot of tourist there at the
time. She told him she’s going back right this instance even if she has to walk all
the way to Caracas. He said her he didn’t plan this and he told her to calm down. He
said he can sleep in the jeep and there’s nothing for her to worry about as
he’ll leave the whole room for her. She told him they can arrange something and he
doesn’t have to sleep in his jeep. He insisted saying that he’s used to sleeping
in it and he doesn’t mind. They went to continue their assignment and went to see a
family whose life depended on the river. Juana took some pictures and he interviewed them.
They told him some of their children are sick because of the polluted water. Juana looks
at the kids and she thought about the baby growing inside her. She thanked Mauricio for
making her come to terms with her pregnancy. While she was thinking about him, David came
and they went with the kids to eat dinner as they were invited by the hospitable family.
Mauricio tried to convince Rogelio of the rightness of expanding their publication but
Rogelio is bent on disagreeing with anything Mauricio has to suggest. Mauricio tried to
get Desiree’s backing as a shareholder, but Rogelio cut her off before she could say
anything. After Rogelio and Desiree were gone, Adolfo told Mauricio he thought his
suggestion was great but it’s a pity that he can’t help Mauricio because
he’s also have some cash flow problems. He told Mauricio that he’ll wait until
Mauricio have some money and sell his shares to Mauricio. He also told Mauricio to be
careful of Rogelio as he sensed that the guy has some other plans for the Positivo.
Mauricio thanked him and Adolfo went on his way.
Rogelio was very impressed with Desiree’s presentation, and he told her so. He asked
her to go with him but she told him she’s not ready to flaunt their relationship in
front of others. She told him he’ll have to keep their affair secret. He told her
he’s left home and there’s no reason to keep it hidden. She didn’t agree
and told him he has to keep it a secret for her sake. He told her he’ll see her
tonight to talk more about their relationship.
Manuel arrived and asked to see Enriqueta’s supervisor. Armando was there and he told
Mano that he’s the supervisor. Manuel explained to Armando that there’s no
reason to sack Enriqueta just because of the incident with the balloons. He told Armando
that he’s Juana’s uncle and he thought it was where Juana work and he wanted to
surprise Juana with the balloons. He didn’t know it was Enriqueta’a office.
Armando thought to himself that this is the fool who put the balloons in Enriqueta’s
office who also happens to be the guy in the lift. He looks like a hippie. Ines goes to
look for Enriqueta to inform her that there’s someone to see her. Enriqueta arrived
and got really angry when she knew about Armando’s prank. She told Mano to follow her
into the office. She told him that he shoudn’t have come here and he’s making a
fool of himself and embarrassing her in front of her office-mates. He told her he was
worried that she might be fired and came to help by taking the blame. She told him she was
just joking and no one is going to fire her. She also informed him that Armando’s not
her supervisor and she’ll kill him the next time she sees him. Manuel asked her if
she had any relationship with Armando and she told him it’s none of his business. He
asked her if she like what he did for her. She got angry at him and he asked her if she
didn’t like it even a little. She told him she has to think about what others might
think of her if she mixes business with pleasure. He told her she’s also human just
like them and they have to know that. He told her she’s always alone and 90% of her
time is spent alone. She lives alone in her apartment and watches t.v alone, order Chinese
takeout and eats alone. She really got mad and told him to leave her office immediately
and never to embarrass her again.
On his way out, Mano met Brandy and she was surprised to see him. She asked him if he was
the culprit with the balloons but he wouldn’t confess. She told him she’s not
going to gossip and asked him if it was Enriqueta who sent him home the other night. He
told her it was and she promised not to tell anyone.
After he was gone, Enriqueta told herself that all men are the same. They want to show
that they know everything when he didn’t even know her. Later there was a knock on
her door and it was the receptionist with her Chinese takeout which she’ll eat alone
in her office. She said to herself that she hate Manuel because he was right about her.
She went to the lounge and heard the gang asking Brandy if it was Manuel who put the
balloons in Enriqueta’s office. Brandy denied it and when they don’t believe
her, she told them to ask Enriqueta. Enriqueta opened the door and asked them what they
wanted to know. Shiva asked her something else and they lit out of there pronto. Enriqueta
thanked Brandy for her discretion. After she was gone Brandy wondered if Manuel was able
to penetrate the electrified fence that surrounds her cold heart. It seems that he has.
Enriqueta sits alone in her office and told herself that it’s dangerous if Mano can
make me fall for him. She wrote a letter and asked the office boy to give it to someone.
She told him there are instructions inside and told him not to open it. She saw Brandy
with what’s left of the balloons and told her to bring them into her office. Later
when it’s time to go home, she brought the balloons with her and Armando wasn’t
happy seeing her happy and carefree. Popeye told her she looks great when she’s
happy. Armando asked her why she’s taking the balloons given to her by the hippie.
She told him acting like a fool is a lot better than acting like a child. He told her he
liked hearing the confession of a hippie about how she’s a professional and competent
in her work.
Adolfo went to see Desiree and he told her he liked her presentation. He also gives her
his business card and told her if and when her husband came back to ask Fransico to call
him. He also told her he wanted to see her somewhere private so that they can talk. She
looked intrigued at what he might have to say.
Rogelio was in his office and Alfredo came in and he saw his father in a celebrating mood
and asked him why he’s so smug and was told that he made sure Mauricio will not be
able to continue his magazine. Adolfo doesn’t have money to invest. Alfredo asked how
about Desiree and Rogelio told him she’ll do whatever I told her to. Alfredo
didn’t look convinced and Dad was angry and told his son he should have more faith in
him.
Carlota explained to Rafaelito what is needed of him when they see the judge to finalize
their adoption proceedings. They went to pick up Mauricio for their appointment with the
judge.
Mauricio was talking to Armando about the difficulties facing them when Enriqueta entered.
He asked her if Juana is coming back today but was told that she’ll be coming back
tomorrow. He didn’t look happy about it. Carlota came in with their son and they went
to see the judge. Rafael tells the judge that he doesn’t feel the tightness in his
chest anymore after Mauricio came into his life and he’s very happy that everything
he needed was provided. The judge asked what is Mauricio going to do if he found out if he
has a child of his own? Is he going to love his kid more than Raf?
Paco came to visit Azucena and she was quite happy to see him and made some coffee. He
confessed his love for her. He told her the longer he waits for her love, the deeper his
love for her will be. Suddenly there was a phone and it was Ramon. Ramon who left her to
bring up her children on her own and called only once when her son was 9 years old. She
couldn’t fathom why he’s coming back into their lives once again. Paco thought
it was some guy trying to harass her and he was about to call the police but she told him
she needed some rest and asked him to go home. Some time later, Ana was playing a board
game with Nico when the phone rang and Mano picked it up and was told not to hang up
because it’s Ramon, his father. Mano looked as if he saw a ghost and Nico said
he’s going home as he doesn’t want to see a ghost. Ana asked her brother to tell
her who it was. He told her it was a ghost, their father.
