David went to see Mauricio and told him that he hero worship Mauricio because he learned from Mauricio how to treat women and now he’s in Juana’s good graces again. David told him that he will try his best to win Juana. Mauricio looks like he was in pain. He asked David what he meant by that. David told him that Mauricio doesn’t care about Juana being pregnant and treat her the same way after he knew about it and he doesn’t want anything from Juana. He also told Mauricio that he no longer cares about Juana’s pregnancy and even if he has to adopt her child, he would. Now Mauricio looked a bit angry. He told David that the baby might have a father but David said ‘you adopted Rafael and you don’t mind so why should I?’ and I love Juana very much, more than life.
Desiree was uncomfortable sitting across from Mauricio in his office but she forged ahead with it because she really wanted confirmation whether Juana was really the mother of his child. He denied it vehemently and told her that she could not be the mother of his baby as he’s been looking for the woman since before the party at his house but that was the first time he met with Juana. Therefore there can be no connection between her and the mother of his child. When she didn’t get the answer she wants, she used another tactic by saying that he could confide in her and she knew how much this child meant to him. But he didn’t budge from his decision not to tell Desiree anything. She wasn’t happy about it but she doesn’t want to push him too much lest he pulled away from her and she’ll loose him forever. Then came in Armando and Desiree excused herself and on her way out, ask forgiveness for being so pushy about things that does not concern her. Armando asked Mauricio what can a beautiful woman like Desiree did to warrant an apology. He also told Mauricio of her interest in Juana. Mauricio said I know. After Armando was gone, he made a call to Dr. Fernando and told him about Juana who is 17 years old and 3 months pregnant. The doc told him that he must be the father of the child to worry so much. Mauricio denied it. Later he asked Ines to send the office boy to buy some folic acid and multivitamins for pregnant mother. Ines didn’t say anything as she was speechless and just stand there, only when Mauricio asked her if there is anything she wanted to ask him that she left to do his bidding. She called the guy and told him to get the things from the list but he told her there’s no way he’s going to buy those things for her, it would be embarrassing. She told him it was what his employer wanted and if he wants to continue working there, he will have to do this. He told her she should have told him it was for their Jefe and went to buy the things. Ines told her gang that Mauricio asked her to get the things for a pregnant lady and she’s very sure it’s Juana. While they were talking about it, Juana passed by and they stopped talking and Juana stopped for a while and looked at them and knew that they were talking about her and went on her way. The boy came back with the necessary things and told Ines loudly that he bought the things and showed it to her. Desiree was on her way to her office when she heard him talking about folic acid and vitamins for the pregnant women. After she was gone Ines was angry at him for being a loudmouth. She told him he just told the best friend of Mauricio’s wife and she’ll surely tell Carlota. He told her such a beautiful woman would never do such a thing. In her office Desiree thought that Juana must be the mother of his baby, why else would he bother to buy her the vitamins if it’s not his baby? And she looked very pleased with herself for her success on coming to the conclusion.
Desiree went to see Enriqueta to ask for her help because Mauricio wants her to participate actively in their upcoming shareholder’s meeting. While they were talking, Juana came in to give the photos she developed at home to Enriqueta. She was surprised to see Desiree there and said she wouldn’t have come in if she knew they were busy. She gave the pics and Enriqueta was pleased with her work. Juana told her she’s on her way to the interview with Popeye and went out. Desiree told Enriqueta that Juana is such an arrogant girl and she thinks she’s better than others because she got Mauricio’s backing. Desiree also said that Juana can fool everyone but not her. She can see that girl for who she really is. Enriqueta was surprised to hear that but didn’t say anything. There was a phone call and it was Manuel. He told her he called because he missed her and wanted to call her since early this morning. Enriqueta looked at Desiree and felt uncomfortable talking to Manuel on so intimate a matter in front of the Viper. He told her they could continue what they did last night and she told him she also wants to try it again as if she’s talking about some business matters. He asked her whether what she wants is to continue the kiss or was she talking about their date. She told him both and she cut her conversation short by saying that she’s in a meeting. Later, after Desiree was gone, she wondered if she was too abrupt in ending her conversation with him and if he was somehow hurt by her actions.
Manuel was working when Nicholas came in wearing a school uniform and told him that he looks as if he’s in love. Manuel told him he’ll tell him a secret but the rest he’ll have to find out on his own. He told Nicholas that he’s going to give himself a chance to fall in love for the first time. Nic asked him who’s the lucky woman but was told he’ll have to find out. Nic told him he’ll find out all right. Petra came to visit Mano with an excuse that her iron is not working again but Mano told her she’ll have to but a new one. She’s not happy with the less than warm treatment he’s giving her. Azucena came in and heard the conversation and told the girl that if her son says it’s busted, she’ll have to buy a new one. Perta is sulking when she finds that he’s not going to spend some ‘happy’ time with her.
Carlota went to see her mom and told her about how Mauricio asked her help with Juana and Amapito was shocked at her handsome son in-law’s audacity. She comforted her daughter when Carlota looked like a little girl who doesn’t know what to do.
Rogelio planned his coming attack on his father in-law. The old man will never arrive at the meeting. He will be killed, probably by Chema who also killed Fransisco and buried him in a bush. ( Desiree’s hubby)
Juana went with Popeye to interview the firemen and followed them to the sigt of the emergency and she go up the stairs with the firemen to take some exclusive photos.( not very logical coz no fireman is going to let anyone interfere with their work not to mention the danger she’ll be in) Mauricio was on his way to see some businessman but was stuck in the traffic jam which is not moving at all and so he went to see what was going on in front and his heart almost jumped out of his chest cavity when Popeye told him that Juana is up there with the firemen taking pictures on the high ladder without any wire securing her to the ladder. He yelled at her to come down.
