Restaurant/Deli: Rogelio told Commissioner Diaz that he has a good reason to suspect Mauricio is still alive. He said Mauricio is trying to avoid h/self from prison on the charges of killing. Commissioner Diaz reminded Rogelio that Mauricio was charred in a bus accident. Rogelio tried to create a reasonable doubt that there was no specific identification for the dead bodies. His instinct never failed him before. Commissioner Diaz informed that Mauricio’s identification document was found at where it had happened. Rogelio instructed Commissioner Diaz to interrogate Juana Perez to find the truth. Forced her if he need to & not to be fooled with Juana’s kind face.
Hotel: Aunt Eva, Rafael & Mauricio were discussing that Mauricio needs to change his appearance. Aunt Eva suggested dyeing his hair, wearing a mustache & a beard. Mauricio was reluctant to follow her idea.
Restaurant/Deli: Commissioner Diaz asked Rogelio not to make his own assumption. Starting from now, investigation would be conducted based on Rogelio’s facts & assume Mauricio is still alive. Rogelio hoped Commissioner Diaz would help him as he had helped Camacho during his problems back then. Rogelio later made a personal wish; he liked Mauricio to be found dead. He’ll make sure Commissioner Diaz will get a huge share. Rogelio asked him to find Juana, to know where Mauricio is & do whatever is necessary.
Positivo/Armando’s room: Desiree walked in to have a chat with Armando. She was the last person to know when was told about Mauricio’s death. The news had shocked her.
Police Station/Salvador’s room: Pacheco was getting ready to type Juana’s statement. Salvador was also getting ready to asked Juana a few question when suddenly Commissioner Diaz interrupted them. Juana was stunned when Diaz took over in questioning her.
Positivo/in a room: Alfredo was being threatened by his father. Rogelio wanted his gun back & knew Alfredo had hid it s/where. He needs to implicate Mauricio with the gun. Alfredo denied of its existence.
Police Station/Salvador’s room: Commissioner Diaz sternly interrogated Juana. He teased her & said Juana’s sadness is not enough for him to believe she’s telling the truth. Juana was confused & Salvador was not able to help her. Juana refused to say a/thing more & insists to have a lawyer. She wept to show her sadness. Commissioner Diaz queried her, said he was puzzled as to why Juana & Mauricio end up in a bus instead of a car when they were trying to get away.
In a hotel: Rafael had a new look; a spec & a spiky haircut. Aunt Eva was on the other bed explaining to him that they should get use to it. Rafael can’t wait to see how his father would look like. Mauricio came out from the washroom with a short haircut, a nerdy spec & a trim beard.
Positivo/in a room: Alfredo was scared to death when Rogelio started to intimidate him with his threat but he was adamant. Alfredo knew Mauricio didn’t kill Francisco. Rogelio warned him & said if the pistol appears Mauricio had use it to kill his friend but if it weren’t, Alfredo will be in deep shit. Rogelio will kill him if he didn’t start telling him where the gun is. Alfredo was puzzled as to why his father wanted it so much assuming it’s not important because Mauricio’s dead. Rogelio just wants e/body to know Mauricio is a killer.
In a hotel: Aunt Eva was glad… she did a good job in disguising Mauricio up. Nobody will recognize him from far. Mauricio said his dog will as dogs have its own instinct. Aunt Eva said he can wonder around w/out fear. Mauricio puts on a hat & told his aunt to take care of Rafael for him.
Police Station/Salvador’s room: Juana was crying openly to show her innocence. She asked Commissioner Diaz not to disturb her a/more as she’s suffering terribly.
Positivo/near Mauricio’s room: Rogelio dragged Alfredo… He wants Alfredo to go inside Mauricio’s room, get the gun & put it s/where where it’s easy for the police to find later on. Rogelio asked him to be quick & he’ll guard outside for him in case anybody comes in. He warned Alfredo to wipe the gun properly. Once inside, Alfredo talked to h/self; he knows he shouldn’t be doing it because he’s afraid of his father. He swears if Mauricio’s not dead, he’d reconsider it. Alfredo squatted to retrieve the gun where he hid it in one of the drawers.
Outside: Rogelio saw Enriqueta walking in… She wanted to enter Mauricio’s room but was stopped halfway by Rogelio. Rogelio delayed Enriqueta & tried to sympathize with what had happened. He hugged her. In her heart; she knows he’s a hypocrite & despised Mauricio. Rogelio caressed Enriqueta’s hair trying his best to delay her.
De la Vega’s house/living room: Carlota was on the sofa, a glass on her hand thinking of Mauricio. She preferred her husband to be dead than in the arms of Juana. Desiree dropped by showing full sadness on her face. Desiree said they’re alike now, a widow.
Perez house: Manuel dropped by to see Juana. Azucena & Rosita assured him Juana is fine & she now has a baby girl. Azucena is afraid Juana will explode any time for the pain that she’s suffering seems unbearable. Manuel was excited; he went running upstairs to see Mariana.
Positivo/near Mauricio’s room: Enriqueta saw Alfredo walking out from Mauricio’s room. She queried him why he was inside.
De la Vega’s house/living room: Desiree expressed her grieve in front of Amparito & Carlota. Amparito was mad at her for being too sad over the death of her friend’s husband. Carlota wanted her mother to leave her alone with Desiree. Amparito left them… Desiree stood up & suddenly felt giddy. Carlota was concerned about her.
Positivo/near Mauricio’s room: Alfredo reasoned with Enriqueta, said he puts several letters from oversea on Mauricio’s desk.
De la Vega’s house: Desiree said she has every right to be sad of Mauricio’s death. Desiree’s mouth was wide opened when Carlota told her that Juana has given birth to a baby girl.
Perez house/living room: Manuel held Mariana while Azucena, A. Maria & Rosita teased the baby. Manuel noticed that Mariana has Mauricio’s look. Later, Juana & Salvador entered the house. Juana was glad to see Manuel… they hugged e/other. Manuel wanted to know how Juana is coping.
Alejandro’s office: Mauricio went to see Alejandro. He told his secretary that he has information about Mauricio De la Vega’s death.
Perez house: Juana informed A. Maria & Manuel that Commissioner Diaz had interrogated her instead of Salvador. Salvador’s boss was giving Juana a hard time & she knew his boss didn’t believe every word she had said. Juana suspected s/thing not quite right with Commissioner Diaz as if she’s guilty & Mauricio is a killer. Salvador told Manuel his boss is a very responsible & dedicated person.
Alejandro’s office: Alejandro told his secretary that he wasn’t in a mood to entertained a/body; he’s grieving over his friend’s death. She mentioned that the guy has no name & has information about Mauricio’s death. Alejandro agreed to see the guy… Mauricio walked in… Alejandro started to query him… he barely recognize Mauricio.
Positivo/hallway: Rogelio was on the phone with Commissioner Diaz. He was updating Rogelio about his conclusion of Juana’s statement. He noticed that she’s nervous but other than that Juana refused to say a/thing about Mauricio. Rogelio wants him to continue with his investigation. He gave hints, said that he had planted a tree at the park & now he needs to come over & chopped it off. Commissioner Diaz understood what Rogelio meant. After he ends the call, Rogelio said in his heart that Mauricio will pay the cost for every drop of tears Carlota had shed e/though if it meant for him to hunt Mauricio till hell.
Reception area: Enriqueta broke the news to all her staff about the tragedy. They were all sad.
In a room: Alfredo informed Rogelio that he had done exactly what he was told. Rogelio said he had to believe him. The police will be coming soon.
Perez house: Salvador assured Manuel that Mauricio is involved in an accident & not otherwise. Brandy drop by to see Juana. Brandy was excited to see Juana & her newborn baby.
Alejandro’s office: Alejandro was so glad to see Mauricio when he took off his cap & his glasses.
Positivo: Commissioner Diaz entered the office… Ines offered to show him where Mauricio’s office. Enriqueta said not so fast… she needs to see document first. Commissioner Diaz gave the search warrant to her. Enriqueta was speechless.
Alejandro’s office: Mauricio explained to Alejandro what had happened. He was driving when he saw an accident had occurred. At the drop of a hat, Juana took his wallet & threw it towards the bus. He tried to get it back but an explosion erupted. Alejandro hugged him. He said he’ll try to resolve his problem.
Perez house/living room: A. Maria & Manuel took Mariana away while Brandy & Juana chatted. Juana could not disclose what her true feelings to Brandy.
Alejandro’s office: Mauricio said faking his death is the only way to buy him time to expose Rogelio Vivas of his evil act. He’s convinced Rogelio is the killer but had no substantial evidence. He wants Alejandro to help him investigate as nobody else can help him at this time.
Positivo/Mauricio’s room: Commissioner Diaz ransacked the desk; files were strewn all over… Enriqueta was mad at him for doing that. Alfredo walked in & wanted to know what is going on. Suddenly Commissioner Diaz found a gun hidden under a newspaper. He showed it to them. Enriqueta was shocked & in near tears trying to tell him that it wasn’t hers nor of Mauricio’s belonging.
Perez house: Juana was chatting with Brandy when a doorbell rang. Juana opened the door to Desiree… she marched in & demanded an explanation from Juana about Mauricio’s death.
Positivo/Mauricio’s room: Enriqueta is willing to be questioned in court & to be slapped with a subpoena. Alfredo agreed with Enriqueta’s remark. She finds it weird because she had tidied the office herself & she didn’t encounter the gun. Rogelio walked in… faked his surprise, greeted & shook hands with Commissioner Diaz as if never seen him before. Commissioner Diaz showed the gun & asked him whether he recognized the gun.
Perez house: Desiree laughed when Juana mentioned Mauricio is her husband. Desiree does not believe that he’s dead. She pleaded with Juana & said she won’t tell a/body… at least provide her with a glimpse of hope. If he’s truly dead, Desiree wants to know every detail of it…
Positivo/Mauricio’s room: Enriqueta told Commissioner Diaz that she’s ready to do a/thing he wants… convinced that s/body is trying to destroy Mauricio. Commissioner Diaz gave his calling card to her. If a/thing pops up, she shouldn’t hesitate to call him. Alfredo accompanied Commissioner Diaz outside. Enriqueta wants Rogelio to help her so that Mauricio’s name would be respected.
Perez house/living room: Brandy was beside Juana when she told Desiree what had happened… Desiree was feeling sad hearing her story. Manuel & A. Maria approached them, carrying Mariana. A. Maria wanted to know why Desiree was there… Desiree saw A. Maria carrying a baby & asked Juana whether it’s Mauricio’s baby. Juana said yes… & suddenly Desiree fainted, too shocked to see the baby. She landed with her face & body on a sofa. Juana was shocked.
Positivo/Mauricio’s room: Enriqueta talked to herself… confused about the gun. Armando walked in… she told him what had happened.
In another room: Rogelio was proud of his son for doing a good job. Alfredo was in no mood to hug his father… he sat down & got hold of a magazine leaving Rogelio dumbfounded.
Perez house/living room: Azucena gave several cottons & alcohol to Manuel. They were trying to revive Desiree. At a corner, Juana was feeding bottled milk to Mariana. They chatted & suddenly Brandy was puzzled when Juana stopped halfway mentioning that she believed Mauricio fully about his death…
Positivo/Mauricio’s room: Enriqueta complaint at Armando & David about the mess that Commissioner had made on the desk. David was surprised when he was told about the gun. She said she has never seen the gun before when she was cleaning the room. Armando admits that Mauricio’s death is no accident & that s/body wants him killed. He excused h/self to leave… Enriqueta agreed with Armando… David thinks so too… Enriqueta said she’s scared…
Police Station/Salvador’s room: Commissioner Diaz talked to Salvador… said he just got back from Positivo Magazine. He later showed Salvador the gun that he had found in Mauricio’s office. Salvador thinks it’s weird… They have to investigate in further details… Commissioner Diaz said if the laboratory vouched the bullets came from the same gun… then their case would be over. Mauricio will be found guilty… Salvador was silent… in deep thoughts…
