Carlota
received a call from Luz Marina… Mauricio & Juana had to stay in the barn for
safety… A. Maria & Salvador attended Alejandro’s dinner gathering…
Carlota hunts Mauricio & went to see Luz Marina… Juana finally gives birth to a
baby girl… Mauricio is overjoyed…

De la Vega’s house: Carlota was on the phone wt. Luz Marina… it’s been so
many years she hasn’t heard from her & Alejandro. Luz Marina asked about
Mauricio, Carlota briefly informed what had happened. After their conversation ended…
Carlota sensed s/thing peculiar. She poured h/self a drink & wondered why she had
called. She remembered having their calling card kept upstairs… she decided to get it
immediately…
Andes/Alejandro’s guest room: Juana was leaning against the bedpost, taking her short
nap when the door was being knocked by Luz Marina. She got in to bring some towel for
Juana. Juana confessed her uneasiness towards Luz Marina… Luz Marina said that she
know Juana is sincere, she can tell as she’s a doctor… working at a dispensary
section in the university. Luz Marina asked how many month she was… Juana said 8
months… They both chuckled together. Juana’s baby kept on moving inside her
womb.
Waterfall: A. Maria walked towards the waterfall… Salvador assisted her along the
way. They walked until she stopped to wash her hands, Salvador watched & waited for
her…
Andes/Alejandro’s guest room: Mauricio leaned against the bedpost while Juana
explained what she & Luz Marina had done. Mauricio had done the same thing when he
confronted Alejandro about Luz Marina’s unfriendliness. He told Juana that they need
to find a safe place to stay for the night. She talked to her baby... pacing to &
fro… Mauricio was amused to see her nervousness.
Waterfall: A. Maria knew Mauricio & Juana had an intimate relationship; she’s not
mad at her but thought their act was exquisite. Juana still hasn’t given up her hope
to find happiness in the middle of their chaos situation. Juana will discover true love
that she’s been searching for all her life. Salvador said its part of a rule when it
comes to love. Towards the end of each story, love always wins…he really believes in
the philosophy. He suggested that they should attend the party for their benefit as a lot
of influential guest will be there.
Positivo/Enriqueta’s room: Enriqueta read the newspaper article about Mauricio &
Juana in front of David. David said a policeman told him that s/body had handed out a sum
of money to make sure that the pictures of them to be advertised. He asked Enriqueta to
use her influence & her position as she knows a lot of insiders in the media
industries to locate who the culprit that had sent it. David has a good point.
De la Vega’s house: Carlota came down from the stairs & Amparito asked where
she’s heading to. She replied to the mountainous area… Amparito got confused
& queried her. Carlota informed that she wish to visit a few old friends that lived
there. Her mother knows that she’s making up excuses… s/thing is going on in her
daughter’s head – she’s planning s/thing because visiting people is so
unlike her. Carlota told her about the weird call she received from Luz Marina, wife of
Mauricio’s best friend – Alejandro. They were not close & it’s been so
many years that they haven’t met… ‘A pure coincidence isn’t it? said
Carlota. She guesses they might know where Mauricio is.
Upstairs/Rafael’s room: Rafael was sad & in a solemn mood… thinking nobody
loves him a/more. He said he doesn’t own a/thing… will be leaving the house
forever & shall bring along the dog (Canela) with him to take care.
Night falls / Alejandro’s house: The commissioner met Alejandro… the guest had
arrived… Alejandro invited him in. The commissioner said he’s busy lately &
especially that day… a problem with 2 fugitives from Caracas; a man & a pregnant
woman. Alejandro kept his silence pretended not knowing a/thing about it & starts
digging up information from him. The commissioner mentioned that s/body had helped the
fugitives into hiding & is sure to nab them soon. A. Maria & Salvador came in
& greeted the commissioner & Alejandro.
Guest room: Juana rubbed her stomach in rhythmic motion… she thought of a name her
mom used to call her back then. She’s tired from running around with no sensed of
direction… she let out a long sighs… continued to say that she’s awfully
weary & hoped she can sleep peacefully that night. Mauricio came in & saw
Juana’s worried face. Juana laughed at him… He touched her stomach & she
told him she was chatting with her baby… He informed her that they’ll be safe at
the barn as Alejandro & Luz Marina had done their best to ease their comfort.
They’re afraid as Alejandro’s house will be swamped with guest any minute. Juana
couldn’t care as long as she’s with him… He loves her for being true to her
feeling & they kissed e/other… (scene got cut).
De la Vega’s house: Amparito informed Rogelio about their daughter’s plan to
locate her husband at the mountainous area. He was mad at his daughter’s stubbornness
& her obsession towards Mauricio. Amparito demanded him to tell her if he knew where
Mauricio & Juana’s hideout.
Andes/Alejandro’s house: The commissioner introduced Alejandro & Luz Marina to A.
Maria & Salvador. Suddenly Carlota entered, with her broad smile & said
‘buenos nochas’ to Alejandro & Luz Marina. A. Maria & Salvador quickly
turned their back while Alejandro & Luz Marina were in terrible aghast seeing her
sudden appearance.
Andes/Barn: Mauricio had prepared a makeshift bed & table for their food… Luz
Marina had it prepared & it’s the same food that will be served to the guest
while the wine was Alejandro’s suggestion. He said the wine’s meant for him
only. Juana teased him for being selfish. He laughed wickedly & poured the wine. She
ate halfway & told him that she has no appetite to eat. He later saw her eating
sandwich as if s/body had forced her… She forced herself to say it’s delicious
& will consume it slowly to savor the taste. Suddenly Juana felt a gush of pain…
her stomach hurts… Mauricio got worried, wanted to get help but Juana wouldn’t
let him & said the pain isn’t there a/more…
Andes/Alejandro’s house: A. Maria told Salvador that she didn’t make any call
especially to Carlota. Alejandro queried his wife whether she had made the call…
Carlota swiftly hugged him. Alejandro introduced the commissioner to Carlota.
Andes/Barn: Juana scolded him for pestering whether she’s fine or not. She said
she’s not lying when he assumed she is… He then told her he’s getting his
wine replenished & will be back soon. Right after he left, Juana bent down for the
pain is unbearable & frequent to her… she let out a blow…
Andes/Alejandro’s house: Luz Marina chatted with Carlota… wanted to know why
she’s there… Carlota said she’s sorry to come uninvited & didn’t
know they were having a party. At the other side, Alejandro watched them with concerned
& suspiciously. Luz Marina eyed on Salvador & A. Maria which Carlota turned to see
what she was looking at… Carlota got mad & asked her what they are doing
there…. Luz Marina nervously said that she didn’t know who the lady is but knew
Salvador only. Carlota told her about A. Maria; the mother of the lady who had snatched
Mauricio away from her.
David’s apartment: David & his mother talked… she suggested him to get a
girlfriend to cover his loneliness. Soon after, the doorbell rang, his mother opened the
door to Brandy… they greeted e/other… David smiled & looked at Brandy.
Andes/Alejandro’s house: Carlota sternly accused Luz Marina/Alejandro of knowing
where Mauricio is & hoped they wouldn’t deny it. They tried to but Carlota
wouldn’t buy their denial… she wanted to know why Luz Marina called her suddenly
out from the blue & if they’re telling the truth, hope they wouldn’t mind
letting her search their house. The other end of the room, A. Maria was in a stressed
mood; Carlota was the caused of it… Salvador coaxed her to calm down. He knew s/thing
strange is going on & had a hunch that Mauricio & Juana is close by than they
expected.
David’s apartment: Brandy discussed his assignment. David praised her for her witty
& intelligence. Brandy blushed & was speechless as she never heard such
compliments coming out from David’s mouth. David’s mom came out from the kitchen
& told David that food is ready for them. She had to leave them for a
while…
Andes/Barn: Mauricio came back with a thermos in hand… it was filled with tea. Juana
pretended to look fine but Mauricio sensed that she’s not… Juana was in pain
& tried to withstand the suffering while she can… w/out him noticing… Juana
failed… she bent & screamed in agony… Mauricio approached her & asked
how far the contraction is… Juana was mad & asked him how far is what? Suddenly
her water broke a sign that she’s about to go in labor. Juana claimed that she’s
about to die. Mauricio coaxed her & said that she’s not…
Andes/Alejandro’s house: Alejandro questioned Luz Marina as to why she called
Carlota. She said she didn’t know but had just wanted her opinion about
Mauricio’s allegation. Salvador knocked s/thing as he walked towards Alejandro &
had interrupted their conversation… he asked for A. Maria, whether they knew where
she was.
Outside Alejandro’s house: A. Maria was walking & talking to h/self about Juana
& Mauricio. Carlota bumped into her & asked what she’s doing
there…
Andes/Barn: Juana didn’t know what to do, she was scared. Mauricio was helpless,
wanted to get help but Juana wouldn’t let him leave her. She doesn’t like to be
left alone & if he gets caught… she’ll be waiting in there like a fool. He
assured her that he’ll be careful & try to get Luz Marina as she’s a doctor.
Outside Alejandro’s house: Carlota accused A. Maria for knowing their hideout. A.
Maria teased her & wished that Juana is happy with Mauricio beside her… she said
Mauricio is not like Carlota who is vicious & cruel. Mauricio nearly bumped into them
but stopped behind the bush when he heard their arguments… he took a peek & saw
his wife quarreling with A. Maria like cats & dogs. Later Salvador & Alejandro
walked out & approached them. Carlota & A. Maria walked back into the house.
Behind the bush, Mauricio was in dilemma; he needed to find ways to get Luz Marina as his
son is about to be born.
Andes/Barn: Juana was in dire pain… saying out loud that her baby is going to be
born… she can’t stand it as she felt like screaming but she can’t… She
was seen w/out her pants on, her legs wide apart… She calmed herself & said
e/thing will be safe & fine w/out any problem… hoping her baby knows what to do
as she’s inexperienced.
Andes/Alejandro’s house: Salvador warned A. Maria not to make Carlota mad, time &
situation does not permit her to do so… A. Maria hoped to get rid of Carlota h/self
before she can harm her daughter or her grandchild. He pleaded with A. Maria to control
h/self. At the kitchen, Mauricio was seen looking around for Luz Marina…
Enriqueta’s apartment: Enriqueta got back from work & saw dinners ready on the
table, candles were lit up…She smiled to h/self.
Andes/Alejandro’s house: Mauricio searched for Alejandro & Luz Marina but they
were no where to be seen. He thought of getting A. Maria’s help but changed his mind
as it was insane. He went s/where else… soon Carlota walked back into the living
room… Mauricio came back (like peek-a-boo) & saw Carlota… he couldn’t
wait for them, he returned to be with Juana.
Enriqueta’s apartment: Manuel rubbed Enriqueta’s hand & poured out all his
regret & mentioned his sour/rude treatment. She was touched by his frankness… He
asked for her forgiveness, she said she’ll always be by his side… & said
he’s forgiven. Manuel kissed her forehead lovingly & thanked for her
understanding. He promised that their situation will be back to normal; to respect &
love her. They quickly attend to their dinner.
David’s apartment: David & Brandy were about to have their dinner together.
Brandy got up thinking David wouldn’t want her around but he was just pulling her
legs. He said he really like her & knew she’s somebody special, splendid as she
was always giving w/out asking things back… never being stingy of knowledge & her
time. He adored her ways.
Andes/Barn: Juana was lying on the makeshift bed that’s made of hay… Mauricio
told her he couldn’t get Alejandro or Luz Marina. To Juana, Mauricio is what’s
important. He later told her about seeing A. Maria & Salvador inside the house. She
got confused & felt uncomfortable. He added that Carlota is also there.
Alejandro’s house: A. Maria consumed her drink like nobody’s business…
Salvador advised her to take it easy. A. Maria informed him of hearing Juana’s voice
calling out her name. She’ll drink until Juana’s voice disappeared. At the other
end, Carlota stared at A. Maria; glad to see her nervousness.
Andes/Barn: Juana was sweating profusely while Mauricio was meddling s/thing at the back
of her makeshift bed. He actually tied a string at both end for Juana to held on to, based
on Aunt Eva’s advice which his ancestral would held on to the 2 strings when about to
give birth. Juana sharply looked at him, said ‘I don’t want a/thing to hold on
to… & who gives a damn about what your ancestral hang on to when she’s in
labor..’ She only wants Mauricio & not some silly strings. She cried out when he
told her he has to catch the baby’s head when it’s time. Juana warned him not to
call a/body & to wait with her as they both need him. He was utterly confused.
Enriqueta’s apartment: Enriqueta & Manuel have finished their dinner; they
toasted & drank their red wine… Their eyes locked into e/other as she touched his
face & Manuel did the same thing to her.
David’s apartment: Brandy was upset with David’s dry joke again. They chatted
happily after that. She’s happy that David is a new man.
Andes/Barn: Mauricio was lost & don’t know what to do… Juana told him not to
worry as God is with them, had brought them there & is sure to guide him. Soon
he’ll meet his son. Later Juana let out a scream as she feels like pushing…
Mauricio kissed her head & said it’s time for him to be in front of her & to
hear the 1st cry of their child.
Enriqueta’s apartment/bedroom: Enriqueta got up & asked Manuel what’s wrong.
Manuel was nervous of s/thing… she told him to calm down… he said he won’t
accept that it’s happening to him…
Andes/Barn: Juana was heavily panting for air while Mauricio was waiting in front of
her… waiting for the baby to come out… he said nothing… Mauricio was
sweating… Juana assumed that baby is stuck & he said it’s impossible…
She thought the baby might be upside down… she later let out a push. Mauricio saw the
baby’s head & said ‘our baby is about to be born’… he encouraged
her to do it again… another long push & the baby came out crying… Mauricio
smiled & showed Juana their baby… eyes wide opened! Mauricio kissed the baby
& Juana smiled…
'sólo a tu lado quiero vivir ... sin ti mi cielo se vuelve gris ...dime que hacer si no
estás aqui...'
