I have a wierd obsession with beautiful music. Evanescence, Sarah McLaughlin...random gospel stuff. I like to incorporate that into the things that I write. I write a lot of the lyrics in the songs, as a matter of fact, Lynden and Colby contribute some great lyrics that I write around.
To me, it's all about the lyrics and the vocals. Sure, the guitars and drums do a lot, but good bands have been ruined by bad talent (sum 41 is a good example ). So I try my hardest. I mass produce songs and only the best of the best get past to the actual music part of it. I've been told that my writing skills are one in a million, and my voice makes people hate me. What better compliment then hatred.
