Remove the dovetailed clay supports. Clean up
the mould.

Poke in the clay some shallow round
depressions about �" deep all around the sculpture, so that the two
halves of the fibreglass backing can key together later.

Put a dam surround around the edge of the
main clay support so that liquid resin will not spill out when the fibreglass
support for the silicone rubber is laid on.

Building a dam. Brush some release wax over the
clay.

Build up 6 layers of glass fibre cloth,
rolling in polyester resin to bind them together. Let set for a day.

Puddling in the resin.

3 to 6 layers of fibre and resin. First half
finished.

Turn mould over and remove all clay. Let dry.
Wash mould with soft brush and cold water. Let dry.

Brush on a layer of release wax.
