The Silk Air landed at Changi airport at 07.45, there are no time differences between Makassar and Singapore. First what we do was reconfirm our flight to London with Singapore Airlines, flight SQ 032. This is a straight flight from Singapore to London Heathrow, and take about 13 hours flying. After reconfirming our flight, we change our money that we got from our beloved Governor, Mr. H.Z.B. Palaguna from Rupiahs to British Pound Sterling.

Some of us also change their Singapore Dollars into Pounds. After this we went window shoping at Changi Airport and listening to an chamber orchestra. While the girls are window shopping, me myself and the Chairman of our School Council went to Hub-Cyber Cafe. I checked my e-mails and even send some e-mails to Mr. Gatot, Mr. Heru Nugroho, Mr. Teguh Santoso and Mr. Abubakar; the last two gentlemen I have never met before, but I feel very familiar to them due to the contacts that we made through e-mailing, but , I know Mr. Gatot personally when he visited Makassar a few months ago and Mr. Heru Nugroho, who I know from the Sumpah Internet Pemuda 2000 program last year in August and met him in during the Millennium Internet Road Show. In my e-mail to the Dikmenjur Yahoo groups and Sekolah 200 Yahoo groups, I beg for support, so we can do all of our best in Great Britain. We paid Sin$. 4.00 for this.

As our School Council can not stand without smoking, so I have to accompany him to the smoking box and I took this change also to get a smoke of my Sampoerna. An hour before departure we went to gate E60 for disembarking. The aircraft is the bigest aircraft that I have ever seen, it is jumbo jet; Boeing 747-400 Mega Top. We all seat in one row; seat 53 A,B,C,D,E and F. I got the windows seat while Fatma, Gumiq and Wenny got the alley seat, Nurbaity and Siti are in between Gumiq and Wenny, while Dolly sit between Fatma and me. I wish actually to be saeted inbetween them, but I also want to see trhough the window.

Happy and sad,...a mixing feeling on the flight to London

During the flight we got two times warm meal and twice snack, and we also try to sleep after boring watching the inflight movie of 10 channels and 25 music channels or playing the games. All of this are able to be mangae from a panel at the arms seat. Beside the remote games/music and video control, there is a phone, where we can call every one from the aircraft. I did not try this last one because it will cost me US$ 12.00 for just the connection and an additional of US$12.00 per minute, beside this I even do not have a credit card yet. Just by sweeping the credit card in slave you will have a connection.
