Banff has some superb scenery. This site is an excellent source for historical information about the area.

Visit Calgary, another major city in Alberta. It is the home of the Calgary Stampede. Kids will find some great links to help them with school projects; there is a site just for teens; and, of course, us adults.

Drumheller: Dinosaur Valley is a great archeological dig. Check out my research regarding archeological finds under several of the headings listed there.

Jasper National Park is another great wilderness area. Great selection on history, including the 'Coming of the Railroad'.

University of Alberta gets an honorable mention solely based on its high standard of education.

Athabasca University,where I was secretary in the Office of the Registrar, provides long-distanced education through correspondence for those who cannot attend a regularly-scheduled class. The beauty of the grounds surrounding the university can be admired in the many photographs within this site.
