Hi!
I have been at this for several months now and do believe I am finally getting the hang of HTML. I still have a lot to learn and there are still many periods of frustration.
But, I am no longer fearful of this technology. We have come a long ways since that first Polaroid picture, you know the one I mean. The one that bewildered my grandmother. She could not believe it was her in that picture...same sweater and all!!!...and that baby could not be my daughter she was cuddling!
When we sit in our own little corners of the world and plunk away at the keyboard, pushing information out for others to see and read, I believe the majority of us think we have the WHOLE picture. The scope is much wider than we can fathom, however. And every day it holds me in awe.
Having said that.....
Over the course of the next few months I will be entering onto my pages, a summary of several of our interests - my son's, and my own. These will include our family and friends with links to their sites, history (especially ancient and biblical), gardening (mainly vegs, but expanding..I now have a few perennials; it is quite a task working with clay base and a topsoil of only two or three inches.), reading (adventure, mystery, historical in the fiction category and way too many to mention in the non-fiction category), writing descriptive articles (The most recent were those I did for BC Parks awhile back) and stories (I am, at the moment, attempting to write a fiction novel with some of the experiences taken from my own pioneering days.) And, another project in the making has taken me three years to research and study. I wanted to make sure I had the background knowledge necessary for such a huge undertaking. (I hope to have this work assembled and ready for publication by the New Year, 2001.), homeschooling my youngest son (his 12th year, but only fourth year of homeschooling), and collecting recipes. I have an affectionate feeling and deep respect for wild animals and observe many in their natural habitat. Collecting and reading books relating to wilderness living, both fiction and non-fiction, fulfills a part of that desire to be "intune" with life in the wild. I also have a 'library' of books needed for teaching the subjects my son needs to learn. And, my shelves hold many, many other books in a wide variety of subjects from health to hints and tips, from simple how to's to the complex - build your own log home.
That project I mentioned I was working on... is secular and complementary biblical documentation that proves Christianity is based on historical events that surrounds an historical person as real as you and me; that He was not a myth. I have researched secular documentation that shows creation is an origin and not a theory, science, or just a religion. In the same token, evolution is discussed and shown to be a theory, according to its claims and not a science or an origin, as it also claims. There is proof from both secular and biblical documentation for the authenticity and reliability of the Holy Bible.
