An intercom system buzzed on, and through a bit of screaming you could hear Kakarotto's voice coming through. "BEJITA!! WHERE ARE WE GOING?" Bejita was caught up lauhging too hard to respond immediately, but after a minute he calmed enough to sputter out their destination. "Somewhere around Torias. We need to land there, because we saiyans and the Torians are the only one's allowed there. They won't be very welcoming to assassins. Especially to their Prince's expense. So that would be a nice place to land." "Why not home?" "Kakarotto, we have two female humans, saiyan males that have just retreated from the bar will be a bit too welcoming if you catch my drift. Not to mention my father would be quite angry with me if I bring a group of assassins to his door and they end up blowing up our home planet. Do you think that would go over well?" Bulma cringed, and Bejita snickered at her response. Saiyan males were quite tempermental, and women seemed to bring that trait out loud and clear. Bejita and Kakarotto seemed to be less affected though, as they were young and used to being with a mass of women, especially Bejita. His father owned quite a few hundred female slaves, all humans, or saiyans from differing parts of the universe. And they raised Bejita, and his little brother, Rafeal, who, much to Bejita's knowledge, hated that he would not get to rule. He thought he was better than Bejita at everything, and that he could do anything Bejita could do. He never showed any respect to his brother, and wished him dead. The pods slowly stopped in mid-air, and then plummeted to the ground at a high rate of speed into the landing areas. Then the doors opened and there was a great calamity of people settling to prepare for Bejita's arrival. He jumped out quickly, and smiled as he was greated by King Toran. He then helped Bulma out as politely as possible, and she immediately saw that he was putting on a show for the strange creatures he was welcomed by. She didn't know what to do, so she just stood beside him. She was on a foreign planet, nowhere near her home planet. And she had never had any previous space travel, and was currently on the run from a group of assassins that were trying to kill the guy she had a crush on. And he was a prince! And not just of some little town or country, but of an entire planet. And he could fly, and was smart, and only fifteen. He was amazing. Utterly amazing. Not to mention his friend was not bad at all. They both lived for the adventure of life, and they were willing to risk it all for a little fun and excitement. Why? The breed of species, these saiyans. Bulma had studied them in a past science exhibit, and they were close allies with the humans. They supported each other in certain ways, but the better race was the saiyan race. By far. They had abilities that no one could compare to. They had a social system that graded them on both their physical and mental stamina. Bejita was an elite member of the race, also descended from one of the most powerful families in existence. he was believed to be the legendary super saiyan, and was by far one of the best. Also arrogant. He thought of himself nothing short of perfect. "Bejita no ouji sama! We not prepared for arrival sire! What bring you here?" "Somebody wants me dead Toran, and I want to know who." "Bejita, many people want dead. Not liked. You not liked at all. Many race fear power saiyan." "But who specifically? Toran, I know groups, but I'm thinking my type of power level. Do you think Frieza-" "Bejita. Frieza hate saiyan and human and Torian. We no get along in this world. You beat him, and live. He win, all hurt too much. Frieza be my guess. You stay till safe sire. You know way to room?" "Yes Toran, I know. But why does Frieza hate us so much." "You too strong Bejita. Prophecy is happening. You super-saiyan." "No, if I was-" "Don't deny. You must hate. Fight more than saiyan normal fight. Fight heart, full heart." Bejita, though perplexed, nodded and bowed to the king and smiled. He took Bulma's hand and began to walk towards the buildings that stood before them. And the world was so peaceful. they entered a tower with many windows, it was forty stories high, and almost an upside down pyramid shape. The outer color of the building was a pale blue, but the interior was decked with purples, reds and tons of black gems. Diamonds also encrusted the path they were walking along, and you could see the floors below you as you would walk. Bulma and Chi-Chi walked in awe, almost ashamed to step on the floor they walked. Bejita seemed at home, Kakarotto fascinated with the lustrious jewels that lit their way. "Kakarotto, your room is here. Mine is three down." "See ya, Veggie boy!" "KAKAROTTO!" But the door had slammed in his face, and his yelling echoed through the halls. Bulma was still to dumbfounded to speak. "Bulma, you will have to sleep in my room. Listen, you are scared, aren't you. Well don't worry about it. I promise I won't let anything happen to you. I am going to protect you even if it means the death of me. The reason I had to take you to this place is because your planet is soon to be under seige. You are in danger there. I can't let you stay and be killed for no reason. I don't know what to feel deep down." "Are you trying to tell me-" "Nothing. Just come along. And stay close, you get lost in here and you'll be here a long time. I got stuck three weeks before I learned my way around." "Bejita, you need to show your emotions. You are beautiful inside you know." "I will handle what I must, Bulma. Now here is the room. You will not leave. You will die if you leave." And with that he threw open the door, pushed her in, and left. The door slammed behind him. She stuck her tongue |
