Vegeta was screaming at the top of his lungs. Dumbledore was waiting for him to calm down. He knew that he could not handle this child while he had an extra person tagging along. A knock on the door silenced Vegeta instantly. He returned to normal, though he was still slightly pale and exhausted. "Come in." Was the simple reply of Dumbledore, and in walked Harry and Bulma, quite confused at the reason why they were here. Harry saw the flare come up in Vegeta's eyes and decided to sit across the room. Bulma sat next to him, she too was scared of this Vegeta, he was worse than normal. It seemed that he was Voldemort, but how could that be possible? Was there something in his blood? Could Voldemort actually become his son? And if so, could his son become Voldemort? Bulma handed the note to Dumbledore, but there was no smiling in the room. Dumbledore had used a curse to form a wall between Harry and Vegeta. It seemed that fear was extremely evident, in all but Vegeta. He was ready to kill anybody that got in his way. "It seems there has been an unfortuanate event taking place. Voldemort has been able to work through this school, and I am greatly afraid this school is the fuel he needs. In a week, you three will all come back to my office, and there you will have occlumency lessons. Harry, Bulma, you may leave." They nodded and walked out, leaving Vegeta. Bulma had tears in her eyes, Harry was angry, and Vegeta was on the floor trying to fight his inner demon. As they walked down the hall, Bulma began to cry. Harry felt bad, if he could have answered the question, that he still didn't know the answer too, none of this would have happened. So it was his fault and responsibility to make up for what he had done. "Calm down Bulma! Everything is going to be fine! Listen, this is dangerous, and I know it has to be hard on you, but your friend, my friend, he will be fine." "That isn't what I'm worried about, though I appreciate the comfort. Vegeta is not going to be able to fight Voldemort, Harry. If he breaks past the scar, and the bond, he will still have the genes that were given to him. Harry, don't you see? This is something magic can't stop, Vegeta is Voldemort's son, he is part of Voldemort. He is what Voldemort is, they are united by the blood within their veins. They are the ones who decide whether or not anything related to possessions or mind-control will happen, and until they meet...they will continue to fight mentally. Vegeta could do the same, but Voldemort has no body, no physical anything to take over." "So you agree that Voldemort and Vegeta need to meet, and Voldemort, well, he, needs to come back for Vegeta, but no one else. This is quite the scenario, it is impossible to kill Vegeta, his father has him protected, and I wouldn't kill him anyway. He is a good friend, and I've only known him two days. He is what he believes himself to be. He is determined and confident. Very likeable. Oh, and the bringing Voldemort to life again? That speaks for itself, don't you think?" "So Vegeta trusts you too. Great. How does he feel about Hermione and Ron? And Neville, Draco, all of those other students? Does he like them? Has he tried to kill any of them?" "Only Goku, but I think that those two know each other already. He hasn't really met the others well, but he and Hermione seem to dislike each other." "That is easy to explain. She insulted his father as soon as she met him. He has great pride in Voldemort, it his father, his hope. Sad, but true." "What did Snape say to you? He seemed angry." Harry was eager to get off the subject of Voldemort, unfortuanately for him, he just made it more complex. "Don't tell anyone, but he was telling me about his childhood, and how he was raised by Voldemort. His father was Voldemort's best friend of all time, but he died because he refused to defy his friendship. Snape and Voldemort were forced to watch the whole thing, the Aurors beat up Snape's father, and yelled for Voldemort and he to give up. They both refused, and then they killed him. As they were killing him, Voldemort was held back by another one of his friends, if he hadn't have been, he too would be dead. The Aurors left, Voldemort was crying on the ground, Severus, was silent with agony. Then they went to the body, Voldemort made a personal promise to raise Severus the best he could. Three years later, the Dark Mark was imprinted on Snape's arm as he officially became a death eater. Harry, the reason this story is so sad is because then, Voldemort had not started his destruction. Harry, Voldemort and Snape's father were innocent at the time. They were simply guilty by association, and it was Manfred Malfoy's fault. Had the Aurors left them alone, and had Malfoy not murdered the three muggles in Voldemort's name, Snape would never have been evil, Voldemort would be...well...less evil I guess...and your parents may still be alive. Well, your mother at least." Harry was dumbfounded and overtaken with a great sorrow for Snape and Voldemort. It seemed that life was good to no one, and bad to everyone. So how do they survive? Is the reason Voldemort so hating of others because those who said they were doing good did wrong?
"Mr. Vegeta, I would appreciate it if you would return to your seat. We have much to discuss." Vegeta hissed and cursed. He was trying to do what Dumbledore asked and what his father demanded. "I--can't-I c-can't move..." Then Dumbledore did the unexpected, he began to address the situation in a totally different way. "Voldemort, I would appreciate it if you would calm down and act a gentleman, especially if you are going to infest my students." The look on Vegetas face was priceless, he was shocked and pleased at the same time. It seemed that the inner hell within him was thrilled with this coming up conversation. "Fine." A low hiss emitted from Vegeta, who was no longer in control of himself. He smiled with dignity and vengeance. "Well, as you know, I am far from grateful to see you again, and I expect the same from you, of course. Why do you wish to use your son as a means for doing your work?" "I don't use him, and my plans are none of your concern, that is, in my opinion." Dumbledore was frowning, Vegeta was smiling. "Then why are you using him now? If you deny it, you have much explaining to do. Besides, you and I know perfectly well what your plans are. And you should know that I cannot harm you now, so you are to the advantage. So why don't you give a little background information on yourself?" Vegeta frowned as though he had just reached some major verdict. "You have changed none. I thought that you would be stronger now, but you still have that blasted weakness. You are nothing but a fool. I am not using the boy. He is allowing me to talk to you. By persuasion of my own, I'm afraid, but no, I'm not going against his will entirely." "It seems that you are ashamed of your son. You don't care about him?" Vegeta went blank. His eyes returned to normal, he was perfectly fine. Dumbledore smiled at him. "Vegeta, are you okay?" "I-yes sir." "Do you know why Voldemort just suddenly left?" Vegeta had tears forming in his bright green eyes. He was turning peach again, and slightly red around his eyes. He shook his head and several little teardrops fell to Dumbledore's desk. His smile faded, knowing the boy was in great pain, but also in pure denial of what hurt him so bad. "Your father loves you, and doesn't want to admit it I'm afraid. Too much has hurt him, he is against love because of that. Four times he has loved someone deeply and lost that person, several others, were a respect that was broken, and one was a heartbreak due to the denial of his father, and now he knows that love can hurt much worse than hate. He is a smart man, but he does have one fear." He didn't finish his comment. Vegeta was crying into his hands because he knew the pain of love-loss. He never really trusted anyone, he hated the world, and he soon realized that he was a lot like his father, and that he had a lot to live up to. He had a lot of work to do to make himself unique, but too much happened for him to give up his dreams. And Dumbledore had just fueled the fire with his simple knowledge of ones past. |
