And here is Greg DP with his 5 well diserved medals (2 third places in the world, not bad). Now the rule is: Whoever swims the personal best time on the day, gets a PEPERMINT SLICE from Jeff, our coach. That doesn't mean Greg has had 5 pepermint slices.
Wayne and I eating our pepermint slices. Much more important then the third place in the world.
In the evenigs we play cards. Greg is an expert in the game "Last card". He kept winning until that fateful moment when he had to pick 29 cards.
Dinner out - Dianne who was cooking wonderful meals for us every night has gone home.
Going back to hotel in our little van. Wayne, me, Dianne, Greg T, Rob, the others are hiding.
Total medal score: 12

Sunday morning was sunny and glorious - great for the

Open water 3km swim.
Not everyone's cup of tea, some of us chickened out and spent the morning taking the photos of the brave ones.
Greg DP struggling to put 2 pairs of togs on. Do anything to keep warm...

Swimmers were starting in the lots of 40. Each group had different cap colour. Everyone also got a temporarily tattoo  on their arms.
New Caledonian swimmers had a stile - yellow and blue wigs and stripes. They also had a looks :-)
First to finish. Coach is there to hand the blancket.
Nothing like a warm embrase of the big gentle friend.... Still it took Greg DP good hour to stop shaking. Water seemd to be closer to 15 then to the official 18 degrees.
