Saskia's 5th Birthday party!!
On Saturday 5th January I invited 6 of my best friends to my birthday party. Unfortunately Christopher couldn't come because he was sick, but these friends did make it: Tom and Lisa the twins, Timea from Kindergarten, Pascal and Tobias who are Astrid's (my childminder) sons. It goes without saying that Eveline was there too!
As you can see, when everyone arrived, mummy painted their faces. I was an Indian princess. Eveline was a bunny.

See, there is even a fairy going up the steps!! Together with a bit of help from Mummy I made a pinata. This is a Mexican papier mach thing (usually an animal) filled with sweets and little presents. We put confetti and some little party bags in ours. It was great fun making it....

..... but to be honest we had loads more fun smashing it up with a baseball bat! We took it in turns to be blindfolded, then swing the baseball bat at the pinata which was suspended from the ceiling. What a mess it made!!

Mummy's friend Kimberley came to help supervise us all, and when Daddy came home from work he helped us all make pizza to eat. We also had loads of other things: gummi bears, crisps, pineapple on sticks and cakes and Jaffa cakes.
At my request Daddy made me a beautiful Fairy Princess Castle Cake.....
My friends gave me some lovely presents, and we all had a really great time - especially when mum had to do the cleaning up afterwards! Kimberley took Eveline and I to her house for a sleepover so we didn't have to help!! Thanks for everything Kimberley and "Honey"!!
One of Mummy's friends recommended that we just have a load of huge empty boxes and some balloons to play with, instead of lots of games... it was great fun!
