Older changes to the draw: v1.7 - Added draw for Finals. v1.6 - Added results from first round of playoffs. v1.5 - Added results for recent weeks, and details for Weeks 13 and 15. v1.4 - updated second half of draw after promotion/relegation games. v1.3 - Updated with results from recent weeks to confirm promotion/relegation night details. v1.2 - No changes to Wed night draw. v1.1 - Confirmed the two non-competition weeks during the season. v1.0 - New draw for 2009!
Draw structure: Both grades play a round robin which ranks teams for a promotion/relegation week, where the two top-ranked C-grade teams play the two bottom-ranked B-grade teams. Winners go to (or stay in) B-grade; losers go to (or stay in) C-grade. Then there is another round-robin series followd by Play-offs and Finals.
Points: 4 for win, 3 for draw, 2 for loss, 0 for default. A default occurs for any team with two or less of its original members on the water 3 mins after the arranged match start time. Defaults are scored as a 0-5 loss for the defaulting team.
If a result is required, tied matches are decided by (in this order) half time score, or 1st goal scored. Teams with tied competition points are ranked by wins, then by draws, then by losses (lowest first), then by goals scored; then by goals against (lowest first); if still tied, then by results of most recent game between tied teams.
Supervision Team Duties: * Ensure duty teams actually do their duties, i.e. break up the post game post mortems quickly and get some of them on the scoring desk and one equipped with a whistle for the start of the next game. * Ensure there is at least one experienced referee for each game. * Ensure results are forwarded to "Drawmeister" Dean Mischewski ([email protected]) or given to him on the night. * Ensure closedown is completed properly and players get out by 10:15 pm. * Liase with QEII staff where necessary (e.g. unlocking back door). * Let Steve Glue know of any gear problems. Periodically you may have to recover MCPA gear from other gear lockups and vice versa, particularly after school groups have used the kit.
