Yes, Patrick Mambwe was the first Zambian to win a Commonwealth title. Although relatively unknown even in Zambia, Mambwe reigned for over 5 years as Africa and Commonwealth bantaweight champion. Despite his success, he never quit his job as sales associate at the former ZCBC store in Kitwe.
