CHAPTER 6
*Soul detaching from physical body: Generally, the body of ghost
from Svadishtana Chakra is used for a consciousness to detach from
physical body and go into the Astral world.
*body of consciousness: seven bodies which were mentioned. Here, it
is the body of ghost.
CHAPTER 7
**Patanjari: A writer at 2 BC who wrote "Yoga Sutra" which is teh
sutra of Raja Yoga.
*Apana Vayu: Human body is supported by the activity of five vayus
(the energy which supports the life activities).
They are;
*Apana Vayu: Purifies the dirts of the body. Mainly it descends
the excretion.
*Samana Vayu: Digests food and give nuitrision to all over the
body.
*Prana Vayu: Absorbs Prana (cosmic energy) into physical body under
the help of breath.
*Udana Vayu: Rises energy.
*Viana Vayu: So called "Aura" in general.
*Samadhi: High state of meditation. Breath stops, consciousness
(soul) detaches from physical body and fly to the world in the
other dimention. In "Yoga Sutra", the Samadhi is considered to be
the state of enlightenment.
*Dark tendency: The state when Tamas energy is dominant which
prevents a practitioner to to see visions in the other worlds such
as the Astral world. The opposite is called virtuous tendency when
Sattva energy is dominant. (About Tamas and Sattva, please refer
to lecture 8th.)
*Beings in the lower Astral world: The dirty souls so called haunted
ghosts or evil spirit.
CHAPTER 8
* Three Gunas: The three foundamental energy called Rajas (movement),
Tamas (dark tendency), and Sattva (virtuous tendency) which existed
with true selves from the beginning of everything. This three
Gunas interfered true selves which made three worlds which begins
from the Causal world. This was the very beginning for our
suffering of obscuration.
* "Yoga of Emptiness": The Yoga on the wind element out of the five
elements which corresponds with Vishuddha Chakra. Emptiness is the
other dimentional subtle space.
* His Holiness, Dalai Lama: The head of Tibetan esoteric Buddhism who
is considered to be the body of manifestation of Boddhisattva
Avarakitishuvara. He reincarnates over and over, and now he is
Dalai Lama 14th. On February 1987, Master Asahara visited
Daramsara, India and met His Holiness, Dalai Lama. There, Dalai
Lama told Master Asahara that he has "the mission to spread the
true religion in Japan."
* Foundamental elements: The container which is the compressed form
of three Gunas (Rajas, Tamas, Sattva).
* The godly cosmic element: The data bank which exists in the Causal
world. Akasic record. Every information about what had happened
in the three realms from the creation of the universe to the
present is stored in this. In detail, please refer to "Beyond Life
and Death".
* The ball of life energy: The manifestation of the action of the
energy of three Gunas.
* seven groups and thirty-six ways of spiritual practice: The system
of practice for the spiritual practitioners of Hinayana to attain
enlightenment.
*three offerings: offering of money, offering of comfort, and
offering of law. Please refer to the lecture two in detail.
*five precepts: Not to kill, not to steal, not to commit adultery,
not to lie, and not to drink alchohol. Please refer to the lecture
two in detail.
CHAPTER 9
*Maitreya: Just before the beginning of this lecture, there was a
ceremony to give names to Mr. Joyu, Ms. Yamamoto, and Ms.
Miyakozawa. Each of them spoke about their experiences of the
practice in the isolated room.
*Maha-Guru: a great leader
*Tsandali: Originally, it means "heat". Here, it means the high
level secret meditation in AUM. The stop of the breath indicates
that the consciousness had left the physical body and a man is in
the deep meditative state.
*Underground Samadhi: A miracle to maditate in the underground
airtight place for a few days.
*Great Cosmic Astrology: The astrology which was made by Master
Shoko Asahara. It has marverous percentage of fulfillment. Master
Asahara had been initiated this astrology from a Guru named
Manikrachu in the Astral world.
*The Great Lord Shiva: The main god of AUM. He lives in
Mahayana. He is the true self who had obtained absolute freedom
and absolute happiness. The salvation plan of AUM Shinrikyo is
based on the will of the Great Lord Shiva which is to destroy this
world of suffering and to lead all souls to Mahayana which is the
world of absolute freedom and absolute happiness.
*The fourth heaven: The fourth heaven from the bottom. Tsushita
Heaven or the heaven of absence of inconsiderateness. The world
where only the truth are being taught. It is said that Buddha
Sakyamuni taught monks and nuns to attain enlightenment and taught
lay practitioners the path to go to the heaven of absence of
inconsiderateness.
CHAPTER TWO, KHEMA-TAISHI
*Vayaviya Kunbaka Pranayama ... : There are various names of the
techniques.
*Rechaka Kunbaka: To retain breath in the fully exhaled state.
*Darduri Siddhi: One of the supernatural power to have one's body
jumped up without one's own intention. It is the previous
phenomena for the levitation. "Siddhi" means supernatural power.
*Puraka: To inhale.
*Jarandara Banda: A technique of Yoga to rise one's energy by
tightening one's throat while doing Pranayama or Mudra. "Banda"
means to tighten certain part of physical body.
*Detachment from the world, detachment from greed: Detachment from
the world means to detach from the outer worlds by realizing that
they are illusions. Detaching from greed is to shut off one's
greed by detaching from various attachments. They are both taught
as the process to attain enlgihtenment in "the law of the twelve
origination of conditions" by Bubbha Sakyamuni. Please refer to
"Beyond Life and Death" for detail.
*Amogasiddhi: One of the True Victors who takes care of north. A
being who had attained all practices of Yogas on this world.
*)Rudra's knot: One of the three knots (Brahma, Vishunu, Rudra) in
Sushumuna Channel. It exists behind Ajna Chakra.
*)Lung (wind): This indicates the stage of Anahata Chakra. Space
which comes after this indicates the stage of Vishuddha Chakra.
*)cold thing: When one got well trained to the meditation of
Tsandali, Kundalini reaches Sahasrara Chakra which leads to the
drip of Nector of immortality. Here it is spoken about this
Nector.
*)Kalpa: a unit of time in Indian religion. Approximately 4,000,000
years.
*)Samsara: to be reincarnated into the six realms of desires over and
over.
*)Intensive seminar from tomorrow: There was an intensive seminar of
AUM Shinrikyo held from June 24th 1987. Kehma-Taishi also went
there and kept her practice in the isolated room. In the end, she
attained enlightenment in this seminar.
*)Vajra Mudra: A special form of hands to tightly tie up both five
fingers.
*)Latnasanbava: A true victor who takes care of south. A soul who
had attained the Yoga of will.
*)foundamental ignorance: not to understand the truth at all
*)turned into "space element": The phenomena that the bad energy
going back to the Astral world.
*)"wind element": Here, it means the energy of "Wind" out of five
element which surrounds Anahata Chakra.
*)Kundalini of Wind: The Kundalini through Sushumuna Channel. It is
cold as the wind.
*)The state of Manomani: The state when one can't recognize oneself
when energy rised and reached to brahma-randra.
SHANTI-TAISHI
*)The state of "joy":When Kundalini reaches Sahasrara Chakra, Nector
begins to fall. This Nector goes up and down within one's body and
brings mental satisfaction called "joy". One of the process of
enlightenment in the twelve origination of conditions. Please
refer to "Beyond Life and Death".
*)going to Egypt: According to the order of the Great Lord Shiva,
Master Asahara were to go to Egypt for one month.
*)Maha Guru Deva: Great Guru
*)Khema-Taishi came: While Master Asahara was absent because of his
trip to Egypt, Khema-Taishi was in charge of the practitioners who
were practicing in the isolated room.
*)Sheeth of will: The sheeth (ball) of light in Brahma-randra which
decides one's will.
*)meditation of 360 degrees: the state of meditation when one can
look through all the surroundings of oneself.
MAITREYA-TAISHI
*)New York Branch Center: The first branch center of AUM Shinrikyo in
America was established in New York at November 1987.
*)The Group of Youth: The assembly of lay members of AUM Shinrikyo
founded on January 1987which is aimed to develop "the threefold
salvation" advocated by AUM Shinrikyo. Maitreya-Taishi was one of
the main leaders from the establishment of this group. Now, it
changed it's name as "the group of Boddhisattvas" which is the
group of people to practice Bhakti Yoga.
*)Foundamental Worldly Desires: Three desires of "greed, hatred, and
ignorance" which exist in the Causal world.
*)Ghuyasamaja: The another name for the Tantric Buddha which is
considered as the final destination for Geruk-pa of Tibetan
Esoteric Buddhism.
*)Five Elements: The factors which consists the universe and our
physical body. They are indicated as "earth, water, fire, wind,
and space".
*)The light ball of will, the light ball of image: The light ball of
will is equal to the sheeth of will. The light ball of image also
exists in Brahma-randra. It takes care of image.
*)Astral Body: Here it means the body of Manifestation.
*)Teleportation: A supernatural power to immediately transfer space
transcending dimention.
*)Nada-sound: The mystic sound from the other dimentional world which
you can here from Anahata Chakra or Vishuddha Chakra. One will be
able to listen to this as the spiritual practice goes on.
