The DARTs Commander-in-Chief has been recognized as a reincarnation of Vajra Bhairava the guardian deity of the Aryan Vedic pantheon. To Buddhists, this figure has become Yamantaka or Dorje Jigche [Jigji] the Death-Slayer, who is a fierce form of the gentle Manjushri, one of the Buddha's disciples. Yamantaka Vajra Bhairava is a furious Dharmapala the Protector of the teachings of the Buddhas, and the embodiment of paradoxical compassion that can manifest out of Emptiness to take action in an extremely wrathful way for the good of all sentient beings.

The Sanskrit name Vajra Bhairava means the "Absolutely Terrifying" and Yamantaka means "Remover of the Obstacle Yama (the Judge of the Dead)."

Yamantaka Vajra Bhairava is the tutelary deity of the Yellow Hat (Gelugpa) school. This has been the dominant school of Tibetan Buddhism since the 17th century, the leaders of which are the successive Dalai Lamas.

Before forming the DART, Gen. Vajra Bhairava has retired from military intelligence service, taken his MS degree in Political Science and concerned himself with geopolitics, multi-polar world security issues, and armed resistance strategies. He is an author, consultant and internationally acclaimed expert in strategic operational planning, intelligence and counter-intelligence, guerrilla warfare, covert operations, counter-propaganda, psychological warfare, and related fields.

The secret of speech is Locana and the Buddha consorts;
The secret of the mind is Yamantaka and the Wrathful Ones."
