Another semester passed. I have been in school for almost 17 years now. So I can say I am a knowlegable person (boo...I think I just spelled knowledge wrong...no idea how it is spelt). One of my marketing courses, we had to make an e-porfolio website to show the "future employers". I realized that almost everybody's interest and hobbies are movies, tv shows or clubbing... and in their resume which we had to post on the e-portfolio. Pretty much all the skill they indicated was just like communication skill. Communication skill is very important for nowadays employment qualification, but I was surprised they didn't have much technical skills. At first, I felt kinda ashame that I was several years older than them (most of them were 21), I was at the same class with them. (Though everybody assumed that I was at their age, since I look young. whee!). Now I start to feel kinda proud of myself since I have had quite a few skills. In another word, for job seeking aspect, I could find a job in marketing field (well of course i am saying after I get my marketing degree), and I could find a job at the economics field (though I am not too keen for it, cause I dont think i would enjoy it), and I could be a web designer (I am quite good with HTML, HTML is quite outdated now, but it's a bonus skill, isn't it?), also I could be a DJ (not a club Dj, but a radiostation DJ). I should stop now, I will get shot by my cockiness (Is it a word, i hope people wouldn't misunderstand that word as cock. I don't have a cock and I don't want to get shot by my cock.

You know, the biggest inspiration to approve my ability as an intelligent individual in these 5 years' university/college life was that I was chosen by my marketing advertising teacher to represent my college to the Ontario Marketing Competition. I think that was like a very flattering thing since I never thought that anyone would notice me in class, plus I am never an active student in class at all and my marks are just okay. So when my prof Ken sent me an email asked me if I was interested in this competition, I was so shocked. First, I didn't think he knew my name. :), Second, why me? I never said anything in class. Third, Why me? I am always the first person who left the classroom first as soon as class was over. Fourth, why me? I don't understand!?? So I promptly wrote him back and said sure I am interested in and told him that I would talk to him after class the next day. So, I asked him the same question that I was so surprised he picked me cause I was a very quiet student in class and there were so many students in class that expressed their opinions in class. He said, "I noticed you. You are very bright and intelligent. People talk a lot in class doesn't mean they know what they are talking about. I saw your work (my midterm), you have a lof of potential." Awwwwww man, that is so encouraging!!! Ever since high school, there is no teacher ever said anything close like that to me.

I checked from the stats from geocities about my site. There are people coming to my website consistantly every week. But most people never came to the "NEWS"!! Argggg.. this is the place I updated most!! All of them just went straight ahead to the photoalbums. Yeah.. it sounds quite irrisistable, but you gotta check out some other pages too, right? You are not just gonna check out if I have posted new pics then left? Don't be that shallow, people! Come here and read what's going on with me!!! Oh yeah... I have my new blog!!! wanna check it out? But you promise me you have to leave comments tho! ;) http://magmacca.blogspot.com/

Valentine's Day was good. I just hope everyday could be valentine's day. Yeah I know it sounds pretty lame, but that's the truth. I got a big hearty box of chocolate with a very cute bear attached to it, some Kinder chocolates and eggs, a Spa kit, and a card. Cards are always my favourite presents, cause they usually mean so much more than the commercial products. Valentine's day is getting so commercialized. It seems like it's just a day for all the business making money a month ahead. I know it is the same as Holloween, but Valentine's day means love. Love is nothing you can measure and compare, espcially to buy. When I said I wish everyday was valentine's day wasn't because I wanted presents everyday, it was that I wish the attention of love everybody puts on valentine's day could be in everyday. I have many single friends complained about Valentine's day. Why is everyone making this intimate moment like a competition? Does it mean if you don't have a date, don't receive flowers on this day that you are a loser!? This shit is so overrated!! People who don't have a bf/gf doesn't mean they are less happier than people who are taken.

My courses are going okay. To tell you the truth, I actually enjoy most of my classes. SURPRISE!! I bet noone ever heard me talked about I liked anything about school. The Advertising course is pretty fun. I actually learnt a lot of things, even on how to buy newspaper and magazine ad space. I got 100% in my first individual presentation for my effective presentation class!! woohoo!! the class average is actually like 80%. Whoa.. sweet! Coming up next week will be the biggest group presentation dued. My group is going to talk about Pepsi's marketing strategy. Our presentation thesis is "Pepsi-the choice for a new generation". Hopefully it's gonna go well, I haven't really done anything yet. But my groupmates have been pretty cool, a lot better than my other group from another class. I guess also because I am the leader in this team, so I can actually tell them what I want to do, and they all listen and very cooperated!

I am going to have 2 midterms on advertising and business law next week plus the group presentation that I mentioned about. Jodie is out this weekend with the boys. So I will have my first weekend alone since I moved here. It's actually not as bad as I thought. I just watched zoolander on tbs. Pretty good movie, there were so many celebs featuring in there.

Happy belated Chinese new year!!! Wish everyone luck!

January 22, Saturday

After two weeks of college life, I realized that college and university were just so different! In university, the world famous class skipper ME feel that university is so much more layback. It's really up to you if you want to study, if you want to take your future seriously. In college, all of the classes take attendence and have participation marks. I am getting used to all the changes, at least I have to try to adjust it. So yeah, college is okay, as the same as what I expected. Toronto is okay as well... same old same old... nothing is too interesting anyways.

I went snowboarding and tubing at Blue Mountain a couple times between the end of December and the begining of January. I had a lot of fun even though my knees were both bruised very badly. I picked up snowboarding reasonably okay given that was my first time skiing. I was quite frightened when I was on the top of the hill, I fell on my bum quite a few times, not that I fell because I lost my balance, I fell because I didn't know how to stop, so whenever people suddenly stopped in front of me, I had to fall on my ass to stop myself. It actually didn't really hurt too much. But there were a couple times that I really lost my balance, I would fall on my knees and that really freaking hurt so much!

So 2005! I just recently picked out My Top 10 Songs From 2004! Here is the list:

Green day - boulevard of broken dreams
Three days grace - home
3 doors down - away from the sun
Avril Lavigne - nobody's home
Blink 182 - i miss you
Sum 41 - no brain
Papa Roach - Getting away with murder
Maroon 5 - she will be loved
Hoobastank - The reason
The killers - somebody told me

I think the greatest rock band in 2004 is Three Days Grace!! They are just so great!! I really wish I could have gone to their concert last Christmas either in Ottawa or Toronto! :( Blink 182 and Green day are always great! :) Switchfoot, Maroon 5, and The Killers have quite a few good singles in 2004 too.

Best albums I would say definitely "Three days grace" by Three days grace. Blink 182's "Blink 182" is really good too. I like Avril's second album "Under my skin" too!!

I can't really pick the best single. But "Boulevard of broken dreams" and "Getting away with murder" are my recent favourites.

Also in 2004, I also found some old good songs on TV or radio or friends recommended some really good ones to me. Here is the top 10 old songs of 2004 list with explaination:

Bush - letting the cable sleep (I was dling "chemical between us" by Bush, I saw this song there, interesting name, got it as well, it was just simply amazing).
Bryan Adams - heaven (Jodie recommended, the first time I listened to it sounded like I knew this song years ago, very familiar).

American hi-fi - another perfect day (same "accident" as the Bush song, I was dling the "favour of the week" by American hi-fi, so I got this one as well, quite good!)

Sinead o' conner - jealous (Michael.C recommended, i think it's better than "nothing compares to you" single.)

TLC - give it to me while its hot (I heard it on a radiostation)

Sum 41 - over my head (I heard of this song when it first came out in 2003, I started to really really like it when I listened to the acoustic version from the Labatte Blue free CD from Sums when you got a big beer case).

Rage against the machine - killling in the name (recommended by Mike.O, I knew Rage for years, but I just never really knew any of their songs until Mike, a big Rage fan sent me his favourite Rage songs.)

Whale - hobo humpin slobo babe (recommended by Gordon, the begining was just sooooo familiar when I first listened to it, and thought it was a cover version of some song that I thoght I knew, it was actually the orginal and the only version of this song! )

I mother earth - summertime in the void (recommended by Michael.C, it was I mother earth's first debut hit!)

Eminem - I still dont give a fuck (recommended by Jodie, one of his favourite Eminem songs.)

Please let me know your top songs of 2004 if you have any!! I hope everyone is having fun so far in 2005! I also hope it will be a good year for me. 2004 is quite stressful. I hope 2005 will be a lot more smoother and I will be happier. By the way, my guestbook finally worked again!! Please do sign my guestbook!!!thanks thanks!! Oh yeah, I also updated some other pages as well! Some people kept asking me to update new pictures... I don't have new picturessss!! Actually it happened that I was just taken a few tonight from the webcam, the quality and the lighting are quite unsatisfied. But oh well, yeah here are the new pics, people!

January 5, 2005, Wednesday

Oh my, it's 2005! the year of rooster! which means I will be 24 this year! Holy Crap! Time flies! I had a good christmas and new year. I went to wiarton for Christmas. I got a lot of presents: Campusmart sweatshirt (green), guitar stand, guitar strap, guitar picks, guitar bag, American Wedding dvd with special edition and a t-shirt says "let's go boom boom the bridesmaids" quoted from stifler, a pair of speakers for my computer, a harmonica, some sweaters with mitts and hats, a snowman doll, beary Pjs, Oasis Definitely Maybe DvD, Carleton school bag, and etc. For New year, we went to Kingston stayed in the Radisson hotel for 3 days.

By the way, I moved to Toronto now. I will be here for a while for college. I haven't got all my marks from carleton yet, hopefully they will all be good. So I can graduate in Feburary. Thatd be cool, in that case, I will have finish my economics bachelor degree in 2 years.

Since I have a guitar now, I started to play a little bit more. I almost forgot all the songs I had been practising all the time last year, such as "naked", "stay", "bizarre love triangle", and etc. I feel such a loser at guitar now, since all of my friends who play guitar can play a lot better than me. But seems like they can't really sing, hehe... so I have an advantage on that. :) I was told that my guitar was very nice. I am pleased. Plus I got several accessories for my guitar from christmas, makes my guitar turn out even better.

So Toronto eh... I never thought I would come back to Toronto again after I moved to Ottawa. But this is life, you never know where will lead you to. I am living at a low income apartment area (thats what i was told and observed). Sometimes I feel scared to just walk around alone, hmmm actually, maybe it's not that bad. I am just so used to live in Ottawa, such a safe and quiet city, takes me a while to get used to the big city. But I will be good. My roommate is Andrea. She is a pretty nice girl, as far as I know her. I never met her before I moved in that night. It's kinda strange, but I lived in Ottawa and busy with work and exams, and I was quite confident that she would be a good one through the emails we sent. She is very friendly and hopefully we would get to know each other more.

School is gonna start on the 10th of January. I will be studying Marketing Administration starting on the 3rd semester, since I have done 2 semesters of credits before at Seneca. So I really hope I will enjoy it a lot, cause that's what I see my future will be - Marketing and Advertising. I never knew what I wanted to study when I applied for college and university before. This time, I actually knew what I wanted and I do hope that I am able to do it with my knowledge and efforts.

Woohoo!!! Canada won the junior hockey championship. It's been 7 years since they had it last time in 1997. I am very proud of the youngsters, they really did an excellent job, especially smoked Russia 6-1. Go Cans Go!!

I hope everything will be what I want for this year. I trully hope it will be.

November 6, Saturday

Another 2 months passed by, there are so many things happened during these few months. But, this is life, nothing is perfect, no one is perfect. There are so many unfair things happened to me that just makes me very sad. I am such a good individual, I deserve a lot more than I am given. I am working so hard for my life... 4 3rd and 4th year economic courses while working 30 hours a week. There are just too many people asking me how i can manage that. I said you just have to do it. I have my goals and dreams, I hope one day soon they will come true. I want to have a great career and have the man I love forever. It's just as simple as that... believe it or not.

I totally forgot my rock mania radio shows... too much work and school time... the only time I can barely relax is weekends, if I don't have to study for tests or do assignments. I want to go back to college to study Marketing after Carleton, I think I'd like it a lot. I remember I got all the A and A+ of all the marketing courses at college. But now I don't know if I can go back to school anymore...

I envy people have a very simple life: grow up with the family, go to university, find a job, get married, have kids... I wish mine would be as easy as that. Even though I had done a lot of things that many people haven't done, such as having my own radioshow, being a dj, wrote quite a few songs on my own, play different music instruments, have my own made website, etc etc... I still wish life could be more fair for me. I am glad I am almost done school, it does take a lot of hardwork. But I don't know what is going to be in front of me... I hope it could be clear, I hope my man will still stand by my side, I hope my parents will be still proud of me.

I finally got the birthday card made by Jodie last weekend. :) So nice, so Sweet!

September 5, Sunday

School starts in a couple days. It will be my last semester. Hopefully it will be really my last semester. Honestly, I am not keen to finish school and start working as soon as possible. I don't want to work... Starting your career is like one step closer to be a real adult. :( I don't want to grow up. But I have to... everyone has to. I don't know what kind of jobs I want to do. Because the kind of jobs I want to do that I couldn't do, or maybe can't do it soon. I want to be a singer song writer, I wanna be a sports reporter, and I wanna be doing advertising, marketing stuff... I dont know what economics stuff relates to the real world besides banking. I do okay at school, but I just don't like this stuff too much, it's boring though it's hard.

I have written 2 songs so far this summer. Two completed songs with lyrics. I don't usually write songs with lyrics, but only the melodies. I am putting it up on My Music page. Check it out!

My radioshow "Rock Mania" is doing alright. Thanks for the sponsor company who bought a domain name for my show site.(It's actually a birthday present from them!). So, My show has a domain name: http://www.rock-mania.com !! How cool is that!?? Also, I was given a forum as well. I tried to get people to join in but unfortunetly there is only a chinese version which is available. So those of you who don't know chinese, you won't be able to read it and understand even just to register. But let me know if you are interested in, I will show ya! Forum address: http://www.gdgzst.com/bbs. The latest two Rock Mania I had been collerborating with my good friend Jon. The theme was both Hip Hop music. Jon is a big Hip Hop fan and he knows a lot more hip hop than I do. Since he is hong kong, we both did our own parts of the shows, then he put both parts together. It's kinda cool... It's the first time ever! Good JOB!

My birthday... was alright. On my birthday day, I went out for dinner with friends... I also went out with some other friends who couldn't make it to my birthday dinner the next day. It was fun! Jodie couldn't make it to my birthday because of some family stuff... It was disappointing, but oh well. He got me a cake last weekend at his parents' house, because I told him that I didn't have a cake on my birthday! His family sang 'Happy Birthday' to me and we had the cake together.. Jodie surprised me by getting me out to play baseball. :) It was kinda awkward cause I didn't even know who's birthday when I came in the house and people started singing happy birthday. So I was almost gonna sing with them (even though I don't know who's birthday) but I noticed that everyone was looking at me! Then I was like awwwww.... that's so surprising... I just didn't know what to say.. :) YOU GOT ME, HUN!! So talking about birthday presents, other than the cake, I got a really huge bear from Terry and James, a Pooh blanket from Ada, Some cosmatic stuff and a cute dog ballon thing from Joanne, a handmade bracellete from Jon, a set of Anna Sui body lotion and perfume from Karen, Rock Mania domain name from my radioshow sponsor company. I believe if I was back home, my family would have given me some presents too, but not this year. :( :). Hmmmm... lots of people sending me e-cards and real cards as well. Thanks to all of you!! I am grateful for having all of you! I am still waiting for one more present!!! It's the present from Jodie. :) Last time I went to Toronto, he insisted that he couldn't let me know what it was, because I couldn't bring it back on the train. So he would give it to me next time when he drives to Ottawa... he said it is a big stuff...(oops, did i say he would give IT to me next time? and its a big stuff? :) hehehe... i didn't mean to mean that!!!!)

July 9, 2004, Friday

Whoa, its been a while! It's actually nothing much happen in the past 2 months. Go to classes, work at random time, hang out with people, see Jodie once in a while, be bored.

My Mom told me on Icq that it was like almost 40c back home, so I am so glad that I am not there this summer. She said even the air conditioning is hot. Summer in Canada is very nice, even tho this is only my second summer in Canada. Its surprisingly not hot at all in June and the beginning of July so far, but in May was bad. Me and my roommate were going to rent an A/C unit, but guess we are not going to do it now since it hasn't been really hot lately. I have been rollerblading a lot with my new pair of rollerblades (this pair of rollerblades actually mean something other than just rollerblades. That's between me and Jodie.^_^)

I am learning Visual Basic 6.0 on my own right now, downloaded a couple VB E-books and try to follow them. I knew "C" before, so it wasn't new at all for me and it seemed like it was easier than "C". (I am only at the page 80 out of 481). So hopefully I can finish that book. Programming is somewhat plain but interesting, its alright... I just have to learn it as a skill so that its easier for me to find a freaking job! I try to learn French at the same time too... I try!! But I always spend most of the time on VB than French... I just don't have the incentive to learn a new language on my own if I dont go for a class. Even tho i taught myself most of the English cause I like English. But for like French, honestly, I dont like French. I dont know why people say French is the most beautiful language in the world? But I actually think it sounds quite rough. It's just my personal opinion. I like Spanish better than French.

I am reading the book "Sex and the city" by Candace Bushnell. The TV show was based on this book (its a newspaper column). To my surprise, a lot of the characters from the TV show are different from the book. The "I" character is not Carrie, its the author Candace. The book is alright, sometimes some lines are quite entertaining, even tho it was only rated 3 out of 5 stars in amazon.com. I also got another book to read - "The notebook" which movie seems quite inspiring lately in theatre. (I want to read the book first then go for the movie, cause usually movie will skip a lot of details.) I don't think Jodie will go with me to see the movie, cause he likes killing movies.:)

Interesting eh?

May 26, 2004, Wednesday

I just realized a lot of times when I updated this news site was on Wednesdays. That's kinda odd. Anyways... It's been really bored recently even school started last week.

I got a job working for Professor Schaller, an economic professor, he teaches in MIT as well. My job is basically word processor stuff, nothing very skillful, but good money - $16/per hour. I was very lucky to get this job since there were so many Master students applied for it, plus, I handed in my resume and cover letter a couple days late, that I had to slide them underneath his door. :) Maybe that's how I got his attention. :) There are not many hours a week for me to work actually... Probably about less than 10 hours each week averagely.

My roommate has a couple friends came over from BC and CA makes this apartment not too dead.. which is good. Hmmm.. to be honest, I have problem remember their names. I feel kinda rude by not calling their names when I say hi to them. :) Hey YOU!

Jodie is back!! But he is gone back to Toronto again! :( He drove over last Thursday right after he got off the plane from Chicago and left Ottawa in Monday afternoon. He brought me presents from the States.:) 2 Victoria Secret's tank tops and 1 V.S panties! hehe..so sweet! We went camping at the Gatineu Park on Saturday. It was actually my first real camping experience... it was fun except there were so many bugs around! I had to use his golf stick to "kill" them. Too bad it was raining last weekend that we left a night early.

I am taking Regional Economic and Islamic Economic this semester. Islamic Economic is actually not as bad as I thought, since I know nothing about its religion. The Prof is pretty cool too! He told us he failed the first year calculus and the second year Stats when he was doing the derivatives! (he studied his degree at Carleton too.) When he said he failed the second year Stats, many students said "me too", "me too", "me too".. hehe...thats pretty funny! Second year Econ Stats was really hard!!! Thank God I got a D!! It's not great, but I passed it! Average student has to take this course 3 times in order to pass it! Woohoo! My stat exam was horrible... I thought the cheatsheet we were allowed to bring in was double sided... so I wrote all the formulas on both sides, when I got there, I found out that it was only one sided!!! there were like 40% of the questions require the formulas on the other side of the cheatsheet I was forced to erase off... I was just soooooo lucky to pass this stupid course!! Who cares about STATS!????

Wanna know what swear word you are!? click here What Swear Word Are You. I did that! My swear word is "Asshole!" hehe... that's funny! I never call anyone asshole, not even the real one! Let me know what kind of swear you are!!! Thatd be funny!

By the way, I saw Eurotrip! It was soooooo funny!!! I really like it! It was a lot better than I expected actually! You guys should definitely go see it if you are into teen movies like me! :)

PS: GO FLAMES!!!!

May 5, 2004, Wednesday

Finally!!! I am all done exams!!! I am free!!! I moved out from that sucky house too. People there were freaking weird! I love my new place. Nice big room!! Woohoo! More space for me to put up my posters!! But damn, my polar bears posters all fell down from the wall. I used the Tac'N Stik thing to stick them on the wall, but guess they are too heavy, they fell head over feet!! Anyone knows how to stick my posters on the wall firmly?

So I am going to take 4 courses in the summer, which will be all at night, Monday-Thursdsay. I have a lot of plans for the summer. I wanna learn to rollerblade better (gotta get a new pair of rollerblades first); I wanna go boating; I wanna go camping; I wanna go to Quebec City; I wanna write more songs; I wanna work out (gain weight, more muscle :)); I wanna learn VB 6.0; I wanna do my radioshows (I have stopped doing that since the beginning of the winter semester); I wanna learn to cook better and learn how to bake stuff.

I feel pretty sick today. My throat hurts so much that sometimes I can't even breathe. :( I think I have fever too. There is an old Chinese saying says if you have fever, you bones will grow because your body is burning. :) I wish it was true, so I am growing taller ;)

So Ottawa and Toronto are done in the playoffs. Actually I dont know why the teams and the fans hate each other so much, guess they have a very hateful history. I really hope Calgary will beat San Jose, or even better get the Stanley Cup... thatd be an awesome "black horse". Go Flames!

Jodie is a sweetheart. We are getting along really well. At the beginning, we had some fights and misunderstandings. But it helped us to learn to be better for each other. He is going to LA for the E3 game show and Chicago for the Bell wireless meeting representing ATI. I am really proud of this guy. His hard work, smartness, and stubbornness will give him a really good future and hopefully the future of us. Have a good time on your trip! I am sure you will have a lot of fun! O Oi Nei hunny! :)

March 4, 2004, Thursday

It has been 2 months since last time I updated here... so many things changed in these two months.Say, moved to a new place, started a new relationship, freaking hard courses, shitty profs... lots of changes... I still like what I am doing so far... cause this is life, once you give up what you have, you can never get them back... so life goes on. Complains.. yep.. but oh well.. nothing is perfect in life.... we just have to work on every little thing that we want!

So for Valentine's Day, I got the Classic Pooh I always wanted from Jodie... I was so shocked!! He asked me to guess what it was and told me it was started with C and P (two words). All I could think of was Colour Printer!! Cause I told him that I wanted to have a printer! hehe...It's so sweet... very unpreditable! The pooh pictures will be put up everywhere on this website! hehe...

Hmmmm... I have been doing so badly in the hockey pool since December!! You have no idea how well I did in the first couple months!!! I'll show you!!(click here for the full image)

On week 5 of the Sportsnet KIA hockey pool I was No.2 out of 60,000 people in the pool!!! Aren't you so proud of me!! It is only my second season watching NHL!

The weather is getting better, tho kinda wet...I can't wait til summer comes. I really want to learn to rollerblade better. I am quite envious with people who rollerblade well! I want to write more songs when I have time (i dont usually have time for writing songs, cause it has to be continious)... I have many unfinished works waiting for me to accompanish, but usually I'd just start some new melody. Because different moments when you have feelings for a song are different... so its hard to combine each piece together, it would be a weird song! :) I like to sing with me playing the guitar... tho i am not too good at the guitar,at least you would have no problem knowing what I am playing...sigh... I should have been a musician... why am I suffering in this fcukin' economices? Okay, that's it, time to shut up! Good day, mate!

It's so weird to write "2004"... Sigh.. another year older...Life still goes on.... nothing can stop the time flying. There have been quite a bit of changes since the beginning of this year. Hopefully I will be happier with whichever I decided. :)

I have picked several cards that I like the most from the last two christmas and birthday cards collection in this page Cards. Check that out, tell me which cards you like more!? I got some interesting presents for the past christmas. One of them is a Cat CD Holder from Jackie and Tom. Even the moment when I opened the present, I still didnt realize what it was!! I thought it was a candle holder! :) (look at the left pic, dont you think it holds a HUGE candle? or a umbreallas holder.

The below present is from Jodie.:) You never have imagined that he painted this. It was more than 20 hours' work!!! I like it a lot!! Such a fabulous painting! Nobody ever painted it for me. Only a couple years ago, my 6 year-old cousin drew me an elephant picture for my birthday. :) Thanks Jodie, It was very sweet!!!

December 29, 2003, Monday

Another Christmas!! I'd say Christmas is getting less and less meaningless when I am getting older and older. The most exciting time for Christmas was when you were doing christmas shopping. No more surprises for the presents. Everyone asks everyone what they want for christmas. I am not saying its bad, its actually a good thing cause I want to give people useful presents while they give me something I want. I think only people would give surprises to someone special, not just anyone. I like surprises. Why people bought presents at the end of this year and saved them to give for christmas? I'd rather have less presents in christmas but devide them into once in a few months to receive. That'd be nice. At least I can have something I want earlier.

On Dec 27, I went to see the Ottawa Senator's Skills Competition. I got the tickets a week before the competition, so the 100 level seats were sold out at the time. :( To my surprise, the tickets were pretty cheap, only cost 6.75$ with taxes. It was a lot of fun at the competition. I was very surprised to see Mike Fisher was at the game! (he was injured the whole season until the Dec 26 game). He scored 2/2 shots at the "Breakaway Replay", pretty cool!!! You guys should check out the pictures I took at the game here Games

They were one of my recent favourite pics. I think I look kinda cute in the first one The second one, Sam *the cat* is so cute!!

Hehe.. this website, The Gender Genie is pretty cool. You typed in some of your sentences or you submit a weblog you wrote, they analyize which gender you are according to the passage you typed. So I copied and pasted the stuff I wrote here earlier, I did it 3 times with different passages, they all showed I was a MALE writer!!! Actually I have expected that I might be, but I couldn't believe I tried 3 different passages. They all showed I was a male writer! hehe... So from the Analysis Chart on that site, it shows "Him", "So", "Because", "Actually", "Everything", "But", "Like", "Am", "More", "Out", "Too", "Has", "Since" are feminine keywords. For guys: "Some", "This", "As", "Now", "Good", "Something", "If", "Ever", "Is", "The", "Well","In" are masculine keywords. I agree that girls like to say "him" a lot! :) The reason why I think guys don't say "her" much is because they always use "woman" instead of "her"!! argg.... such as "Damn you WOMAN"!!! DAMN YOU HIM!!!!

I also read an article from scientific website "NewScientist" about which colours of cars are safe or dangerous on the road. It's said that "Silver cars are much less likely to be involved in a serious crash than cars of other colours."; "White, Yellow, Grey, Red and Blue cars carried about the same risk of injury. But those taking to the roads in black, brown or green cars were twice as likely to suffer a crash with serious injury." Isn't it an interesting research? Personally, I think red cars would carry more risk than other colours of cars because people who drive red cars usually are more likely to speed since they think they are driving a cool sharp colour car. Hmmmm... What do you think?

I am ALIVE!!!

I finished my exams 2 days ago - Tuesday. It wasn't the best day of my life, even tho I have done my all my exams this term. I might be very possible to fail this very shitty Intermediate Macroeconomics course!!!! Ahhh whatever!! I am done exams, dont think about exams, idiot! I am happy that I have completed one more semester towards my degree, woohoo!!

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!! wheeee!!! I have pretty much done christmas shopping! It was actually quite fun to do christmas shopping even tho I dont like shopping too much. At least you could think of getting something to surprise someone. Fun fun!

I have a list of things I want to accomplish in this holiday. I kinda worry if I have enough time to get those done. I want to update this site completely. It might take quite a bit of time, cause there is a lot of stuff that I haven't updated for a year. I also want to learn more about visual basic. I am sure it is a lot easier than programming in C in UNIX which I did at college.

Not much happened since few months' ago I made the long update. School pretty much occupied me this whole term!! Poor me! Work is fine... I made quite a few friends this term at work. Danielle, Sherry, Jessica, and other girls, I think we are going out soon for movies and stuff, its gonna be fun!

I am going to update some other pages now. Gotta update the music site, think of what my 2003 best songs are, add some songs on the song list, hmmm.... maybe I will add some new pictures in the photoalbum. Haven't taken pictures for so long... I will see if I can find some old good ones. Anyways, anywho, if you haven't signed my guestbook yet, please do it, cause i love having million entries on my guestbook hehe... its a memory!!! so please do it to make me happy! I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I WANT IT!!!!

I saw this Pooh in Montreal, one jewllery store in a mall. When me, Michael, and Jonathan walked by the jewllery store, this pooh just completely got my attention. Then I was like "Whoa!! SOO CUTE!!!" The pooh was fairly big,(exactly the same one as the picture above. size: 25'') sitting on a chair near the counter. We came in (quite embarrasing.:) Because we were not buying any diamonds) and asked the shopkeeper if that Pooh was for sale. (hehe...). His daughter was there, she told us it was her son's pooh and she said she got it for $68. It was on sale, it used to be twice more expensive. So I thought $68 was not a bad price for such a cute pooh. It's a classic Winnie the Pooh originally designed from Canada (Before Disney put on some clothes for him to be Disney version's Winnie the Pooh). So anyway, I asked her the address of the bear store. We got to the store(there were a couple subway stops), it was closed!!! Arg!!!Damn!!! Well,I am sure the $68 sale was no more though. When I came back to Ottawa, I checked on some stuffed animals website, I found this Pooh again!! BUT!! It cost $200!! CrAzY!!!!! So I will leave it as my goal to achieve then. :( I really like that pooh! But at the meantime, I also know I won't do anything with him. Just like all the bears I have in my house, I can at most to hug one of them to sleep. Still, I wish I could own this classic Pooh one day! Sigh... So CUTE!!!

School started last Thursday. But my classes will start next week. No more holiday!! I am going to take 5 courses this term. I will work on Tuesday and Thursday daytime. My manager at work asked me if I wanted to work on weekends or nights. I said nope. He teased me saying because I wanted to watch those stupid reality shows at night. hehe...

I made a new page for my radioshow "Rock Mania".(One of the hearts on the main page) Please go listen to my shows sometime if you guys are free. I need your feebacks, so I can host the show better and better in the future :) Rock Mania

RADIOHEAD ROCK!!!!

The Concert was Awesome!!! The Park gate started to let people in at 4:30pm, August 15. Me, Michael, and Rob took a bus from Ottawa to Montreal, by the time we got to the park was 5:10. There was a really really huge line up. We heard there were 35,000 people were going to the concert!

Rob found a very good spot to stand, then we kept going forward towards the stage. The Pavement's singer Stephen Malkmus was the openning act for the Radiohead. They made interesting music. 8:05pm, Radiohead finall came up!!! People kept screaming and dancing with the beat! The first song they played was "2+2=5" from their new album. That is my first time to see the Radiohead live concert, I have to say Thom is brilliant! He is just extrememly great at live! He has an excellent voice!! There was one part of the show hit the peak was when the band started to play their hit single "Natinal Antheme". They got encored once to play two more songs. One of them was "Karma Police".

The good thing of the show for me was I got to see them really close , its about 30 meters to the middle of the stage where Thom stands. But the bad things are: I couldn't bring cameras in, no Pictures!!!! :((( also, I guess I was too short to see them all the time. Proabbly just because people were too tall in front of me.

Oh by the way, they didn't play "Fake Plastic Trees"! :( So disappointed. But they played "JUST" and "Street Spirit" from "The Bends"!! It's my favourite album from Radiohead! Gorgeous!

August 13,2003, Wednesday

I AM BACK!!! This is probably a good news for everyone, because I can update my site and post pictures of me more often.

There are so many things I wanna write here, just don't know when to start with. Hmmm... My trip back to Ottawa was really long. I couldn't sleep at all on the plane from Beijing to Vancouver(10 hours). I had to wait in the Vancouver airport for 5 hours for flight to Ottawa (4.5 hours). I felt soooo sleepy on the plane to Ottawa, but I was sat between two big men. I had to take a nap really carefully, cause I don't want my head to hit either one's shoulder.

So I came back just passed my birthday, (Dont you tell me you forgot about it? August 6!!!) besides I got several birthday presents when I was back. A really nice surprise should be from Mike Fisher!!!(My hero from the Ottawa Senators). I sent him a letter last Christmas asking him for antograph photo. I had been waiting for months before I left Canada in April, no reponses. :( I was really disappointed at him and I forgot about this letter thing at all in this summer. That was why I felt really really surprised and happy about his reply. He didn't write anything to me, just enclosed a picture of him with an autograph. What's more, He wrote "To Margaret" above his autograph!! WHEEEEE!!! Feel s00000 special!!! :) That is my first time getting an autograph from a public star. Don't be too jealous with a public star, because they can sign for their fans. I did that too!! :)

I mentioned last time in June I began to host some radio show with a DJ. Until August 6, I had been hosting 2 shows 3 times a week. Isn't it cool!!?? So there are two shows : A talk show and A music show. I like hosting the music show a lot since music is my favourite, plus its an all English songs show, so I am pretty familiar with the music. The music show is called "Music Explorer" hosted by DJ Kevin. I usually got on the show twice a week. I had been on this show for about a month, probabbly around 8-9 times in total. I already had my audience fans. It was so amazing. Audience members sent messages and emails telling me they liked my music choices and they adored me that I knew so many songs. The cooler thing was, I got chances to meet two audience members individually. One of them asked me to autograph on an envelop for him, and the other one even brought camera to take pictures with me and DJ Kevin. Here is a good news, I might be able to have my own online radio station soon in the future. I will be doing my own show in Canada especially for the "Music Explorer" audience since they wanted me to keep participating with the show. I hope things will be worked out soon. I really enjoy being a DJ. It's just so much fun. More importantly, I had learnt a lot and got plenty of experiences.

Guess what? I am going to host my own radiostation from the coming Friday. With the help with Channel-E the radiostation and Mr Chou and his company's technical supports, I will be a NJ (Net Jockey).:) So far we will set my show on Friday night 12:30am-1:00am (North America Eastern Time). I will post a mms link for my site as soon as I figure out my address. Welcome to listen to my radioshow. Though they are not as professional as the real radioshow's,more importantly, it is my music choice.

June 24,2003, Tuesday

There have been more than 2 months to update my site. I was stuck back home because of my visa. I will be back to my lovely Ottawa at the end of this year. I am sure everyone in Canada misses me... I miss them all!

Arg, I don't want to talk about that crap. Life back to my parents' house is okay, but boring. Well, I don't need to take care of myself, don't need to make food on my own, don't need to study... Aiiii (its a sigh word in Cantonese), but life here is so boring. Well, I could get a chance to meet my friends and hang out with them, since I haven't been back for 2 years. I have many friends here... But... I get used to the life in Canada...I just feel like I am a foreigner in my motherland.

The only fun thing to mention here is I am a DJ now of our local radio station. Kewl eh? :) I am pretty happy about that. First of all, I was invited to be a guest in a show talking about a foreign student's life in Canada, then the DJ asked me to be his Guest DJ on his new show. His new show, basically is a talk show, is on every Saturday and Sunday from 9:30-11:00am. I had a lot of recordings in the last couple days. It's fun. The funny thing is, Dj Steven (the Dj of the show) said I should improve my Cantonese pronounciation. I think I have got used to speak English, so when I speak cantonese, I can't pronounce every word clearly. :) I will keep you guys posted about our radioshow.

Hmmm, I just want to be happy and not to worry about anything in these coming months before I can go back to Canada.

Oh guess what?I almost forgot to mention,I changed my hair! :) I had it waved! :) I hope my friends in Canada will like it. :) I will put some new pics on my photoalbum. Please give me some comments about my hair! :)

Exams make me sick!I know I have a lot to study, but I want to take a brief break to update my website now. I feel headache when I look at the paper. :( I just went to Tim Horton's to get some snack. (btw, it's 2am now) Just wanna tell you guys, don't go to the Tim's after 12am, because there are nothing left but drinks and bagels. I grabbed a Canadaian Maple Donut and a cup of medium French Vanilla. French Vanilla is the best drink in the Tim's. I bought a tin of The President's Choice French Vanilla powder. It is not good, it tastes like crap.

I have my last two exams on next Tuesday and Wednesday. I have a whole week to study for both exams, but I just keep wasting time. In the daytime, I feel tired.(Donno why). I study for a bit, then I feel sleepy. Evening/Night, The NHL Playoffs!!! So I can't study at all. Damn!! I wish I didn't have a TV. But..but.. I would miss so many good plays and good goals. Anyways, Wheeee!! The Senators beat The NY Islanders in the first series 4-1. Mike Fisher scored a great goal at the 28th second on the 4th game in New York.^-^ But Please please, the next series,I really don't want the Sens play against the Leafs!!! (Well, if the Leafs beat the Flyers, but its gonna be really tough!). Hmmm, I still wanna talk about the Playoffs more, but I guess I should stop here. Good luck to everyone on exams!!! Good luck to the Canadian NHL teams!

March 22nd 2003, Saturday

I can't believe it has been over a month again since I last updated my site! March is such a busy month for me. I spent so much time on school, friends, and work... I had plenty of fun!

Me, Joanne, James and Terry have become really good friends since at the end of February we went out together. They are great people(s)!

At the begining of March, I went to a bar called "Local Heroes" on bank street with Michael, Frank, Vinod, and Dennis. It was a pretty cool sport bar+restaurant. I liked it a lot since we could watch hockey on the big screen TV at the same time.

March 15th, we held a get-together and table hockey tourment party at our apartment. There were 15 people attended. They were : Me, Michael, Frank, Samit, Ryan, Dennis,Jonathan, Yan, Vinod, Christian, Young Mi, Ayumi, Omar, Terry, and James. (Jonathan and Yan, they came over here all the way from Montreal for the party!! Applause!) I didn't have enough chairs for all of them, some of them had to sit on the floor. hehe... I really appreciated all of our friends could spare a Saturday night to come over. I had so much fun with all of them even though I was the worst one in the table hockey tourment. DAMNIT!!! At the end of the party, I had two bottles of Smirnoff, that made me kinda drunk!! Arg!! I thought I could drink more than that!! To check out pictures from the party, please click here

Februay 16th 2003, Sunday

Haven't updated my beloved site for almost a month!!! What happened to me during this month??Busy Busy!!! School, Work, Work, School...Life is boring, that is why I didn't have anything to update it.

I am now on my study break...Wheeee!! Last week was horriable! I had 3 tests, 1 exams on 3 days and worked on 2 full days. I survived!!! But I did bad in my economics mid-term!:(( I studied a lot though, just... anyways, Damn it!

I started to play "Sports Net" NHL Hockey Pool. I am in the group called "CU in hell" (CU=Carleton University) which named by Michael. There are only me, Michael and Frank in this group. YOu know what? so far I played 3 times (for 3 weeks), I beat them 3 times!!! Wheeeeeeee!!! Well, even though I have just started to watch NHL from this season, and I don't even remember some team names. I did research on the players who played well in the last few weeks then came up a team. I wasn't just lucky, I AM A SMARTIE!!!!

I did an online quiz last night for testing how much an internet addict I was. I am a 32% internet addict!! I was kinda surprised by the result. Because I thought I would be over 50% :), even I picked I couldn't live without internet for a week :) Here is the link, Internet Addict Test . Email me the result when you are done, please!! :)

Have you seen "My big fat greek wedding"? I saw it, It was a good movie. But it wasn't as that funny as I thought. The first half of the movie was pretty good and creative, but the most important part, the wedding, hmmm, just so so...

This week, There will be many exciting shows on TV. Besides many NHL teams play 4 games in this week, The "Bachelorette" and "Joe Millianaire" are the last episode Both Trista and Evan will choose their love to engage. In the "Bachelorette", of course I would pick Ryan! 'Cause he is so sweet and goodlooking. Even though other guys might think he is weak because he writes poems :) "Joe Millianaire", I will pick Zora, but it seems Evan likes Sara better! I really don't like Sara, she looks very bitchy!!... Anyway, we will see, we will see...

So I am pretty happy that people visited my site and signed my guestbook. Thank you soo so much to you guys!!I wish they would rather sign my guestbook than messaged me on Icq telling me my site was "great" :) Here are some replies to some questions on the guestbook.

Kevin asked me why Yao Ming was not one of my favourite sports players. hehe.. First, I don't watch NBA much, I do play basketball though. Second,I never see Yao Ming play. Third, Well, I don't dislike him, I am quite proud of him beating Sharks. Second question was when I learnt Spanish :) I learnt it last year in college :) I was the only non-Canadian in the class, but I did fairly well, I got A in this course :) I wish I could keep my spanish, even they are basic ones. But I guess now I just keep forgetting words... sigh...

Jonathan(JT)'s comments :) First of all, I want to mention again, the winnie the pooh in the front page was drawn by me, however, the colours were sucky, Jonathan painted for on his computer and made 6 colour versions of the pooh :) That's why he said his favourite page on my site was the front page :) By the way, Thanks for commenting good pictures of me on my site :) hehehe... Ok, so for the 3rd comment. I do like Simpsons, but I never watch 3rd rock. I heard it was a good show, but I guess now it is gone. 4) I don't like NFL!!!! It's B0Rin'!!!! NHL players have so much more skills. 5) Hey! I don't like boybands anymore!!only when I was like 12 or 13. It's so normal to girls. Some women like boybands even they are 40ish!!! 6) Didn't you know Oasis beat Blur when they both released albums in 1995? hehe.. I like the old Blur stuff, such as "girls and boys", "To the end","End of century"...But after "Blur" that album, they completely changed their style, and it was no good.Well, Gorillaz is pretty good though. :)

Once again, thanks to everyone who viewed my pages and who signed my guestbook! I really appreciate it.

January 18th 2003, Saturday

Last week was Pretty busy. I am sure school will be getting busier really soon. I watched a cantonese movie called "Love on a diet" with Frank and Michael on Friday. It was a great movie, very original and funny. If they know cantonese, it would have been funnier for them.

Another good movie that I watched last week was "Stolen Summer". This movie won the best script in some movie competition last year. Very touching, I had tears in my eyes. :)

Something kinda funny happened on Thursday. After work, I went to my locker to pick up my backpack. So I tried to open the lock, it wasn't working... and I tried again...not working... the combination numbers should be right!! Damnit!! All my stuff was in the locker! Suddenly, I had an urge to look up, SHOOOOOT!!! It wasn't my locker!!! I had been standing there for 5 minutes, trying to open "my lock"!!! I felt soooo embarrased.Luckily there was nobody walking by, otherwise, they would have thought that I tried to steal.

By the way, N.R.E.D's "Provider" is my recent favourite song!!! GO Download it!! It is excellent!!

Senators is broke! :( The team will be gone after this season! :(

What can I do? I can't save the team. :( They are playing so well this season. Why Senators?? :( (calm down...)

I like to complain a lot now. School started on this Monday, all the classes were just sooo boring! I don't like universities anymore. Actually, I don't think I ever like universities. Universities suck!!There are so many instructors who are non-English speakers and they can't speak english!! I really don't know what the hell they are talking about!! Being at the class, just like being like a robot, take notes, take notes, and take notes. One of my math professors, he spoke in a very high pitch with a very thick Arabic accent. Sigh... If Canada lacks of its native Masters and Phds, some universities should be shut down. Students should go to colleges where you can learn a lot more pratical and useful stuff than in universities where you only want to get a degree. Why do we go to universities which can't teach us anything? Just for a piece of graduation degree paper, that we have to suffer for 4 years? Why do we have to graduate from universities to get a good job in the future?

What the Hell?! Stupiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidddd!!

December 31st 2002, Tuesday

I got quite a few presents for christmas.:) I also got late presents from Jonathan and Karen(Liu).

Last night, I was so surprised to pick up her parcel from the post office. She mailed me a pair of winnie the pooh and a pair of polar bear stockings!! They are sooo cute!! She wrote me a really long letter and told me her news and how much she missed me.Awww... I miss her, too. I wish I could see her soon in April!
Thanks so much to everyone who gave me christmas presents and sent me christmas cards and who tried their best to find bear stuff for me. :) I am really appreciated all of them.

Mike Fisher got in a fight last night against Nashville. Luckily it was the last 10 seconds of the game, but he still got kicked out. :( It wasn't a big fight, but just kinda long. I don't know why Michael said he couldn't fight. :( By the way, Ottawa lost to Nashville 3-2!! Arg.. Ottawa was the No.1 team and Nashville was the last team in the league!!! Hmmm, it often happened in soccer league too.

Peace!

Oh! The latest issue of "Teen People" has a poster of Ashton Kutcher!! Yay!!!

I just found out that Matthew Perry(Chandler from "Friends") was brought up in Ottawa! Cool!! There are so many celebrities from Ottawa! Alanis Morissette is from Ottawa (donno exactly which town though), Avril Lavigne is from Neapen (west of Ottawa) Tom Green is from Orleans (east of Ottawa)

The gifts she got me are pretty much all about winnie the pooh or bears :)Okie, see what I got from Karen, hmm, a Winnie the Pooh 1000 pieces puzzle, hehe, I really don't think I can be able to finish it soon. This puzzle is quite special, each piece has a small pooh picture there, pretty CUTE! A polar bear notebook; Pooh tape ; A Pooh pocket fan ; A bag of Pooh chocolate ; a bear wrist rest pad (for PC mouse). All of them are pretty cute, I like them so much:) Wheeee!!

Karen is here!!!
I went to pick her up from the train station after work. When I got to the train station, I looked around, I couldn't find her, but I saw a lot of people coming up from the train tunnel. I was standing there for a while and I saw her going up from the escalator!! Yay!! We haven't seen each other for 4 months, but we still "match" each other pretty well. Laughed out loud on the bus talking about those same old jokes... We miss the time we were roommates :)

December 17th 2002, Tuesday

Woohoo!! Last night was my first time watching NHL live at a rink! That was a cool experience, though Senators lost! :( Damn it!!!! Montreal scored the last minute 3-2!~! What the Hell!! The game was fine, the first and second periods were kinda boring. Montreal scored 2 goals in the second period. I was quite surprised there were a lot of Montreal Canadiens fans at Corel Centre. In the last 10 minutes of the game, Ottawa magically scored 2 goals to tight, then we all thought we were gonna watch overtime, but .. but... in the last minute, Montreal scored again!!! I was soooo disappointed, oh well, so were all the Senators fans! The atmosphere of the game was not as loud as I thought. Perhaps when I watched games on TV before, the arena looked huge and sounded noisy. Also, I might imagine it was like in aconcert and people were so excited all the time.

My seat was pretty nice, it was 13 rows up from the ice, pretty close and it was off the side of the net . It worthed $110, it was given from Michael's Dad. :) Lucky! For sure I couldn't afford to buy that ticket.
(see my ticket below, see more pics of the game on photoalbum page)

During the time, I was not only busy watching the game, more importantly, I tried to catch Mike Fisher(No.12)'s every move and took pictures of him, hehe. Oh man,I gotta admit that he is quite hot as a hockey player, and wheee, he is 22 years old. Hehe.. we are perfect match, just kidding, but I wish. :) Arg.. I was mad that when I saw a couple girls there holding a sign written "Mike Fisher, Will you marry me?" YOU! Listen! He is Mine!!

Yay!! Karen is coming over from Toronto tomorrow!! She is my best friend in Canada, We really miss each other since we haven't seen each other since this August. I wanna take her to skate, but I think the Rideau Canal is not completely frozen yet. Oh well, I am sure we will stil have a lot of fun together.

I was so amazed today that I saw Mark Owen on "Okay" Magazine's cover!!! Of course I got that immediately. Kewl!! I haven't heard of his news for ages ever since he released his debut solo album "Green Man". Mark had been my favourite guy for a couple years especialy the time when he was still in Take That (Brit' boy band). Well, I am not into boy band anymore, I was when I was 13. :) Anyways, back to the "Okay" magazine, so there was a lottery paper thing enclosed in the magazine, Guess what? I won the golden prize!!! Awww! SWEET!! Awww.. I looked at the instruction, whoaa, I might have a chance to win 1 million pounds, the smallest golden prize is 150 pounds!! Oh wait!! The winner must be UK resident!! Oh NOOO!! Because "Okay" is a British magazine.. Arggg.. why the hell they sell the magazines in Canada?? I am just seeing myself losing 1 million pounds...(if that is possiable)

I start to make this site from today. I have so many ideas on my mind, just donno where to start. I am not an expert in HTML, I forgot a lot of stuff I learnt 2 years ago from college. I found my old notes from previous my programming class, took me quite a while to bring back my memory. I really want to make this site look special. This is my 5th site (include both sites I made for my assignments), I am just worried that I couldn't finish this site, because I know I will get bored of it sooner or later. I really don't hope this is gonna happen this time. I promise myself to keep updating it.
