The tutorial was created in PSP 9.

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Download the supplies here.
(File size - 2,975 kb)
Save the zipped images in a folder of your choice.
Open and minimize them in PSP.

THE COLOR PALETTE
Foreground color on #feae32
Change the foreground to gold pattern
Background color on #742808
Change the background to gradient:
Style - Linear
Angle 45
Repeats 3

Open a transparent canvas, 600 x 400.
Selections --> Select All.
Layers --> New raster layer
Copy the 'sahara' image and paste it onto the selection.
Selections --> Select None.
Reduce the opacity of this layer to 74% in the Layers palette.


Copy and paste the tube 'old_patio' onto the canvas.
Move it to the right.
Layers --> Duplicate.
Image --> Mirror.
Move it to the left against the edge.
Shift the 'old-patio' layer against the left image (see example).


Copy and paste the tube 'Cleopatra' onto the canvas.
Image_ Resize:70%
Move it to the right against the edge.

Copy and paste the tube 'private harem' onto the canvas.
Shift it to the right, behind Cleopatra so that
the harem lady is on the steps.
Paste it again onto the canvas.
Image --> Mirror.
Drag this layer to the top in the Layers palette.
Use the Mover tool now to shift it to the left.
Reduce the layer's opacity to  84% in the Layers palette.

Copy and paste the tube 'gesluierde_lady' onto the canvas.
Click on layer 3 in the Layers palette to activate it.
Use the Eraser tool to carefully clean up the lady's nose
above the burka.
Clean up the left side of the Cleopatra image as well (see example)
Activate the top layer in the Layers palette.
Reduce the layer's opacity to 50%.
Layers --Merge --> Merge All.
Filter Xero - Porcelain: top slidebar on 85.


Layers --> New Raster layer.
Activate the Text tool,
choose a nice font,
and write the text on the image.

Apply a drop shadow:
H and V  3
Opacity 100
Blur 7
Color black.
Move the text into position.
Layers --> Merge --> Merge All.
Selections --> Select All.
Effects --> 3D Effects --> Cutout:
H and V  0
Opacity 100
Blur 15.00
Color background color
Repeat the Cutout effect.

Selections --> Select None.
Image --> Add Borders: 2 pixels white.
Select with the Magic Wand and fill with the gold pattern.
Selections --> Select None.
Add border: 20 pixels - background color.
Select with the Magic Wand.
Filter Xe Xtras - Elemental: Minerals - marble pink
move the opacity slidebar below the 'P'.

Effects --> Edge Effects --> Enhance.
Repeat.

Effects --> 3D effects --> Inner Bevel
Bevel 2
Width 13
Smoothness 16
Depth 3
Ambiance 0
Shinniness 0
Angle 315
Intensity 44
Elevation 33
Color white
Selections --> Select None.

Add border: 2 pixels white.
Select with the Magic Wand and fill with the gold pattern.
Selections --> Select None
Filter Adjust - Variations: More red - ok.

Add your watermark.
