The tutorial was created in PSP 9.



MATERIALS NEEDED:
Download the supplies here.
(file size - 1,978 kb)

 Change the foreground color to black.
Background on a gold pattern.

Open a new transparent canvas, 600 x 400 pixels.
Selections --> Select All.
Add a new layer.
Copy and paste the snow landscape into the selection.
Selections --> Select None.
Reduce the opacity of this layer to 78%
in the Layers palette.

Copy and paste the tube 'hjr_misted_amstelriver'
onto the canvas.

Copy and paste the tube 'MD_couples' onto the canvas.
Shift it to the left(see example).

Click in the Layers palette on the amsteltube.
Activate the Eraser tool and clean up
the faces of the couple.


Merge all layers.

Selections --> Select All.
Effects --> 3D Effects --> Cutout:
H & V  0
Opacity 100
Blur 15.00
Color black.
Selections --> Select None.

Image --> Add Borders: 1 pixel white.
Select with the Magic Wand and fill with the gold pattern.
Add a 2 pixel black border.
Add a 1 px white border.
Select with the Magic Wand and fill with gold.

Add a new raster layer.
Activate the Text tool and choose a nice font.
Jeanne used 'Violett' , size 30.
Add the text to your image and position it where you want it.
Apply a drop shadow:
H & V 8
Opacity  50
Blur 12
Color black.

Merge all layers.
Add your watermark.
Copy the image or save it.


Open Animation Shop.
Open your image and the animations (GIF files)
included in the zip.

You can change the color and size of the animations.
Go to Animation in the top toolbar.
You will find all the option in the dropdown menu.

First apply 1 animation to your image and change the
color and size afterwards.

You can just add the stars, as is, to the image.
Click on the 'View Animation'- icon in the top toolbar
to see how the animation works.
Save your image as a GIF.
