Mary Foster, C.L.M.T.--Contacts:
Mary Foster brings a wide range of life experience to her massage therapy career. She graduated from the Massage Institute of New England in August 1989. She has worked at the Boston Marathon performing sports massage on runners each year, as well as with performers in the Boston theater district and actors on movie sets. She has worked closely with a chiropractor for the past 11 years doing a variety of treatments including alleviating pain from back problems, headaches, TMJ, and carpal tunnel syndrome. She has training in anatomy, physiology, Swedish massage, sports and spa treatments. Mary brings empathy to her work with clients who have high stress jobs and lifestyles and actively listens to the needs expressed by them. She also feels that surrounding yourself with the soothing sounds of water fountains, the smell of aromatic candles, and comforting music are an integral part of the healing process bringing you closer to achieving balance and wellness. She is certified, licensed and an AMTA member. She also enjoys the company of her two dogs, Marley and Ebony, both rescued from Labrador Retriever Rescue and Greyhound adoption. Michelle Cole, L.M.T.--
Michelle received her certificate in massage therapy from the Polarity Realization Institute, where she studied pregnancy and infant massage, Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, positional release, reflexology, trigger point, and neuromuscular massage. Michelle also completed 350 hours of Amma Therapeutic Massage at New York College of Health Professionals. Amma Massage, rooted in the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, combines deep tissue manipulation with applications of friction and touch to specific points, energy channels, muscles, ligaments and joints. Its focus is on the balance and movement of energy within the body. Michelle's massage, both nurturing and strong, is enhanced by her daily practice of Tai Chi.Julie Pierce, C.L.M.T.--
Julie received her massage certificate from the Polarity Realization Instiute in Ipswich, where she completed the 600 hour therapeutic program. Before that, she was a teacher at the Waldorf School in Beverly Farms. She is a peace activist who has worked extensively in Latin America with medical and literacy projects. Julie's training as a midwife and a meditation teacher both contribute to the experience that her massage clients receive.
