    "Blues" has been with us for quite a while. Bought as a steeplechaser, she won several times for us before we retired her to show. After a brief show career though, we decided it was time to breed her. Her first foal, Royal Blues, was a bit of a clunker at the track. Consequently, we didn't have high hopes when we bred her to Swaps for a steeplechase prospect. The filly we got from that breeding, Kentucky Swap Meet, began winning races and just didn't stop. It was smooth sailing from there as "Blues" foaled for us several more grade one winners and won Horse of the Year in the Mare Producer division. And as her offpsring begin to have their own winners on the track, we realize how lucky we were to snatch "Blues" at auction.
