Wire Suppliers
Generally, these wire suppliers do not require any minimums for the larger diameter sizes at least but then as is usually the case, there may be an exception to the rule. This information is several years old and its accuracy is a reflection of its age but it does represent a starting point.
Typically, the larger wire sizes like the copper clad steel is sold by the foot for around three to five cents while the 27AWG magnet wire is sold by the spool and its price is determined by weight.
Five-hundred feet of 18AWG CCS wire will cost around $20 and a spool of 27AWG magnet wire will drain your piggy-bank to the tune of about $35.
