In June 1999 Ziya Tanali (ODT�, METU) and Sait Kozacioglu (METU, 1974; Royal Fine Arts Academy, Denmark, 1981) won the architectural design competition for the headquarters building of Ministry of Defence, Defence Industry Undersecretariat .

Competition proposal was preapared with the assistance of architect Fuat Etker (METU, 1994, 1999) and draftsperson Sevgi Y�cesan.

Construction and decoration projects were commenced on September 1999 and completed and approved by June 2000. The building will comprise 30 000 m2 and be 27 storeys high, Of which two are underground for garage - archive - depot - shelter uses. Three podium storeys house the lobbies, conference hall, cafeteria and representative offices. There are 18 office storeys in the tower which is topped by two penthouse storeys for recreatiobal use.The building will be 100 meters high.

Yap�n�n Say�sal Modelini Onur Y�nc� (ODT�, 2000) haz�rlad�. Projelendirme s�recinde ayr�ca 1/500, 1/200, 1/100 b�t�n maketler ve 1/50, 1/20, 1/10 k�smi maketler yap�ld�. Say�sal model ve maketler projelendirme arac� olarak kullan�ld�.
