Documentation of the Development Process
The intent and purpose of the website is to target the college campus and surrounding areas with quality food choices during the late night.
The steps taken to create this website were done in order to ensure the objectives were met. For example:
First, a high-level website design was created with the different pages organized in logical navigation paths with visually pleasing aesthetics.
Second, each page was formatted with consistent layouts that ensure compatibility.
Defense of the Final Product
The specific design choices for each of the website pages uses a straightforward clean minimal approach. Large font is used for accessibility. “According to the 2010 U.S. Census, nearly 19% of the U.S. population can be classified as having a disability—whether from birth, by accident or via old age” (Leisinger, Morin & Rubin. 2014). By incorporating these requirements, the intended audience would expand to include access to those having disabilities.
Scotty's website does not have any pop-up advertisements or flashing images and instead uses a format that is clean and clutter free with appropriate color choices so users affected by color blindness or those prone to seizures will have less issues using the application (Blakemore 2016)
