Amber is
growing very quickly. Here are some significant points

First month - already very good at lifting her
neck and looking around, observing her world. She likes taking a bath and
sleeps and feeds on a two to three hour cycle.
Second month - she loves listening to music, hearing people talk. She smiles when she sees her mommy or daddy. She's busy with her hands and feet, always putting her foot in her mouth. |

Third month - able to roll over and sit propped by some pillows! She can gurgle funny sounds now too. First swimming at kiddie pool done this month! Went to Hiltonia Beach Club at the Abu Dhabi Corniche to introduce her to the joys of swimming. She loved the water but hated the sun. |  |
| Fourth month - very careful but brave
crawler. She can climb a bed mattress and back down to the floor.
Eating solids now too. Cerelac is her favourite. Gone swimming
again. Loves playing in the water.
Fifth month - Can now mumble words like 'dada', 'tata' and 'dadi'. She doesn't like going to sleep. Perhaps she feels there is so much of her new world to see. |

Sixth month - She can now crawl very fast and can
disappear into nooks and crannies if you don't pay attention. Very curious
little person.
This was also the time when she went visiting her relatives in Manila. She spent a month in Sucat, Paranaque and another month in Roxas, Quezon City. Seventh month - can dance to the tune of "arimunding-munding" with graceful hand movements. Fast tunes merit an up-down, one-two movement of legs and knees. She can say 'kaka' for "quack-quack" each time she sees her duck. |

Eight month - practice standing and crawling and standing again. Trying to feel the strength of her legs by doing squatting positions. Countless falls when trying these moves. Ninth month - A professional babbler by now. She had also mastered her pince-grips and can put toys into her toy "box" when requested to tidy up. Has also started cruising. Tenth month - Amber walked! Her first attempts were filled with a mixture of fear and happiness mirrored in her tiny face. It was really a Kodak-moment. The second attempt was immortalised on video. |

Eleventh month - by now she can run and even attempt going up and down low chairs and sofas. She likes talking with adults and kisses fellow children calling them 'baby'. 1 year old - practically and old lady by now, she likes inspecting her socks drawers and rearranging her shoe rack. She is learning to wash her hands and face by herself and loves brushing her teeth. |
Amber is now 18 months and growing, she loves cats, dogs, monkeys and elephants. Her favorite video are the Baby Songs 1 & 2 and her favorite cartoon is Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. She loves fruits like apples, bananas, grapes and pears. She eats yogurt, rice, chicken, fish and pork which she calls "babi". Her favorite vegetables are squash, carrots and potatoes. She likes potato chips and saltine crackers like Skyflakes. Sometimes she will ask to taste Coke but is not very fond of it. She loves juice and ice cream but her favorite past time is playing with water and eating ice cubes!
